Thanks you SO much for this video. I have 2 GoPros - a Hero 5 and now (2 weeks old) the 13. I film while bikeriding and to my disappointment both cameras dont allow me to add stickers (other than the GoPro logo). Like you, I use quick start exclusively and obviously i havent been getting a proper GPS fix. Im gojng to try your suggested method today! Thx again. Gerard
Thank you ! It was disappointing to have the sticker function be so poor. I have used the telemetry overlay software several times now.And one of my videos covers that. It was 99% accurate. Keep me posted on your efforts as well !
@ Hi Tony and thx again so much for your advice. I am just back from filming handheld with Hero13. I turned the camera on, waited until I had a GPS fix and then hit the shutter button…it WORKED! I accept that programs like Telemetry Overlay will give you so many more options but for the moment, GoPro Stickers will be fine for me. Thanks again!
Any GPS is going to take a minute or 2 to lock on to satellite's when you first turn it on. Your watch is always on so of course it's locked on to satellites right away . The go pro is fine and is working as any GPS would . Any other GPS camera will work the same way .
@@BrucesCritterCams I get that but I tested coming from inside the house where none of my devices had a signal Tom Tom car gps : 20 sec Suunto watch : 25 sec Garmin edge Explore: 30 sec Go pro 10: 155 sec To acquire signal
@@TravelsWithTony I notice sometimes my Hero 9 is off by several feet . Other times it's right on the money . I just figure it depends on the number of satellites it's locked on .

@@gerardwall8847 Glad the tip worked. Nice to have that substantiated. Enjoy !
Cool video! I feel like the smoothness is really improved at least it seems like it. Great troubleshooting work to fix the issue!
Yeah. The hyper smooth function is great on this version.
