Very true ! I could relate with every point. We feel valued and loved and they make us feel like coming home everyday. The years I spent with my cat were undoubtedly the happiest days of my life. And whoever says cats don't love us back has never had one.
These cats are all that cuz you actually pet them, love them, enjoy them, pamper them, play with them , etc. I know an have known lots who just own an feed their cats, give them a pet every once in awhile an thats it. Then they wonder why their cats are so skittish, lazy, unfriendly, etc. These cats are obviously very much loved!!!
That was very touching. I had severe depression few months ago and was so apart from the world. Didn't speak to my family or interact with anyone outside my home. But I always got up of my bed to feed my cat and make sure he is OK. He was the only reason I didn't commit suicide at that point of my life and still.
My dad getting my cat for my birthday really bonded us. My dad and I always had problems, (mostly because my parents are divorced) for years I didn't want to talk to him or even go to his house when he was supposed to have me over. We would always get into arguments over the stupidest things and he would always try to fix it by buying me things when I all I wanted was for him to fix himself . Last summer I wanted one thing for my birthday and all it was, was a cat. I have been asking him and My mom for years and he finally agreed. I found this white flame point kitten that was cutest for adoption and I immediately emailed them, after a few days we got him and ever since my dad and I have been best friends. For a while my dad didn't like the kitten and said he only got it for me but now he says the cat is like his baby and he loves him so much! Every time I come over my dad and I will play with the cat and have lots of fun. He helps my dad when I'm not there (since he's alone at home he has my cat for company) and helps me when my dad is at the gym, sleeping or at work. Every morning at my dads is just loads of cuddles and affection from my cat and it's amazing. Cats can really help if your having trouble with family or if your depressed, and I know that cause it helped my dad and I.
Sad how some people judge men that say kitty or kitties or that talk to their cats with the high pitch dweeb voice like we do Please visit our non profit ad free channel for some rare footage and photos of cats dogs nature etc
This is sooo true. My cat actually saved my life when I was about to commit suicide due to clinical depression. No wonder she's queen of my house plus garden plus me, now. Cats are psychic animals and able to detect anything that's wrong with you and they find the exact way to distract you from your worries by just being there and showing affection and by being open to cuddling and being close and healing you at the same time. And, of course, they are entitled to being given the same attention and affection to THEM :) I wouldn't with to give up on my kitty 🐱
My first cat taught me that cats have great value, even if they are not your fav pets; as a kid, I wanted dogs and didn't like cats.. But with time, this master in paws made me realize how precious a cat is.. He showed me his abilities, talents, his sense of friendship and his superpowers (cause a cat moving u from your bed and depression definitely has superpowers). And he was so patient, cause at first I was a jerk with him. After him, only cats. They are magical! And people appreciating them are magical too.
Fantastic video. I used to have a mantra: go to work; make money; buy cat food...I retired earlier this year after 41 years, same company with a buy out. I've never been happier to spend so much time with my cats, home and just live life! Your video kind of speaks to all of that to me.
This made me smile and want to cry at the same time. A person who suffers from depression I can say this video and the cats in my life has helped me through some hard times
When my dog died (whom was like a sister to me, given how shitty most humans in my family are), I was 2 years into depression already, and if not for the kitten my mom had gotten me months before, I would have killed myself... but I just couldn't leave this little baby alone when I basically raised her so... Now Indy is 7 years old, and still a great source of comfort... and I'm still alive, so hey, victory. Animals are the best thing ever. Even if you give up on yourself, don't give up on them =) (I have a soft spot for Shorty's paws... so fluffy...)
hey man. if you feeling down you shouldn't do things to hurt yourself or to make it any worse. nobody should ever kill themselves. glad you feeling better bro
Dear Frogofswords, i understand the loss of losing your furry children, also better than my rotten family members. Much more Love from my animals and reasons to go on. if you ever want to talk, write me o:K. Talking's good and friends with same love for animals can be good, if you ever need to. Be Happy o:k and enjoy Indy and also get outside and enjoy fresh air and you could also do some work or volunteer helping animals if you would like to. Take Care and All The Best to You Always. Be happy o:k. Life is short, enjoy your life.
You are right on so many points. In my 70's had to put my 20 year old Buddy down. He was usually on my chest and his purr made everything better. He Washington better than medicine. Miss him dearly but have asthma. Beautiful cat.
I love this video, and it is so true. I've struggled with depression and anxiety for over 25 years, and have always had cats around. My cat Brenda died in May 2017, and for months I felt empty and unable to cope. In the summer this year I adopted 2 new cats, and I feel 100% happier again. I feel like my life has meaning and purpose, and it's helped my ability to interact with people as well. I still miss Brenda all the time, but having the 2 new cats has really helped me to move forward and feel more positive about life.
My two have been through a lot with me. Two deployments, lengthy TDYs, one PCS and back, and a divorce. They know what I need...and they get 100% love and attention.
I recently had to move to another country and I had to leave my two cats at home. This video makes me really nostalgic and makes me remember how happy we were together. I hope someday I would see them again, and hug them and sleep together. Great videos!
1 time I wasn't feeling good, my brother's cat named jelly bean, went up to me and stayed by my side! X3 it's like she knew I wasn't feeling well and she wanted me to feel better and be happy :3 cats r the best
Every word is true. So is your description. Just beautiful. My cats make me smile and laugh all the time. And there's nothing like coming home to head-butts and furry hugs
I have this wonderful cat that's so adorable. She's fat and squishy and i just love her to pieces. She never annoys me. Oh my gosh this cat is like a mental break from everything. She behaves so similar to a cat i used to have when I was a teen, so much that it feels like she has been reincarnated. I forgot that owning a cat feels this nice.
Wonderful video, and so true! Sometimes I feel anxiety and my big rescued tom cat cuddles on my shoulder with his deep purring chest against my ear, as he nuzzles my hair like a little kitten. Soon the tightness inside me just melts away and I'm relaxed again. Cats are a blessing!
I have depression and my cat helps my depression. I'm more happy than I was when I didn't have a cat. The kitten I got last October grew up to be a very floppy lap cat which fits my personality. October is next month so it'll be his birthday he will be 1 year old.
After watching a few of their videos, I think I like Shorty more than Owl Kitty. They are both adorable, sweet and kooky, but there’s just something about Shorty that makes me wish she were my cat. Thanks for sharing them with the world. We appreciate it:
This is such a sweet video. All quotes is so true. Nothing is more relaxing than petting a cat and hear the purr. Our cats are my best friends, you can't find that kind of love and happiness anywhere else.
Just some of the many reasons why I've had continuous cat cohabitation for 40 years. They're also addictive. 😻

I had my cat Chooch for six years (a senior me and my family adopted). He recently passed away so we cremated him. I didn't realize it at the time, but he knew his time was up and spent it cuddling up to me on my bed as well as being in my son's room. He actually died by my side. When we lost him, a part us died with him.
Today I was fussing and worrying about little stuff, then I saw this and remembered all I need to be happy is right here on my lap, my table and my bed: my four kitties. Thanks for reminding me what really matters.
Thank you +Sho Ko, this is why we have seven sweeties. And we give them all the love we have cause they truly deserve it! Big kisses to Shorty and Kodi, they're truly unique, gorgeous, and hilarious, keep the vids coming 😻🐈🐱
cats are amazing when you have a real bond with theM,they know exactly how you feel, they love you no matter what. Ant they have a 6th sense, for real.the more you love them the greater the bond they create with you...
Awesome little film on why we all need cats ! "The best therapists have fur and four feet" (Don't know who said it, but it's true) Love the feel-good footage. Beautiful cats, btw.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS and YOUR BEAUTIFUL CATS!! THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING and TELLING HOW WONDERFUL THEY ARE!! NOTHING LIKE THEM- WONDERFUL COMPANIONS. THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR BEING KIND AND LOVING TO THEM and THEY LOVE YOU IN RETURN. THE MOST PUREST LOVE is THE LOVE of a CAT!
I don't get to see my cat often. My parents keep him outside because he puked inside. Once. A few months ago. He used to curl up on my bed right beside me and he always knew when I was sad. He barely even comes up to me anymore. Pets are the best, don't let yours go.
Everything you said is true.... my beloved Rita died some years ago but I still missing her so much. Maybe it is time to adopt another kitten. Thanks for another beautiful video!
In case someone didn't know, they actually have a program called "Pets for Vets" which actually prescribe DOGS to military veterans (or those that had to leave due to... problems) that helps for the same reasons you listed. Who needs pills when you can have a pet?
I am a neuropsychologist working with children and adolescents and I wish I could take my Cats to work but so many have allergies today it isn't allowed...but my Babies bring me a lot of Joy!
As someone struggling with aspergers, trust issues, loneliness, depression, and figuring out who I am, this is why I picked up my little black furbaby from 6 weeks old. He's almost a year now. He always comes running to the door when I come home from work. I pick him up and baby him. He always has to be around me, and that's exactly what I wanted. Someone to be there with and for me. I no longer trust any human to get that close to my heart.
I love felines!!! You welcome them into your loving home and give them all your appreciation and time and they shortly take over your life and become in charge of you. They are the BOSS and they are super awesome!!!! Not to mention their little tiny ears, big owl-like eyes, and feisty personalities! :D
They give us a reason... That is why I keep going somedays. Sometimes its the only reason I can remember to keep trying - I have to make sure she has a home and food. Because she always cares.
In one of his books, James Herriot tells the story of a man with terrible depression who "comes out of that dark valley, led by his dog." I might not have the wording exactly correct, but that's the sentiment.
Recently became a cat lover...always had dogs, whom I adored. My son brought home a "dumpster-diver" temporarily until he could be placed...the rest is history. His name is Harry, and he looks exactly like Shorty. He has bonded and imprinted on Sienna, our Irish Wolfhound. My life, and everyone else's has changed for the better. I am so grateful for Life's strange twists.
So odd this is in my recommends today. Just today I told my therapist whom I've been treating with for almost 4 years that I smell my oldest cat's head (21) everyday. It smells like sunshine and birthday cake. Not literal birthday cake per se but that perfect cake from memories of when I had good occasions. Pure memories of laughter and joy. I smell his little furry head every morning and night and sunshine and birthday cake keep me going til the next day. I have traditions with my other cats but my oldest is special. We survived a tragedy together. He is my tuxie angel.
I think everyone who knows me can say that my cats saved my life. And for them, I am eternally grateful.
I never used to be an animal person... then one day i met that one special cat.... he changed my life forever and ever...
Nothing like unconditional love, huh?
Seeing all those cats get petted makes me happy again
Very true ! I could relate with every point. We feel valued and loved and they make us feel like coming home everyday. The years I spent with my cat were undoubtedly the happiest days of my life. And whoever says cats don't love us back has never had one.

Truer words were never spoken. Unconditional love.

This made me cry, made me realize why I'm so attached to my cat.
I've seen this video a few times and it makes me love my 2 cats even more...love one another!!
Very true, my cat helped calm me down after hard day of work, I can always count on my cat for peace and love.
That was funny when the cat went after the shadow. Your cats really show you how much they love you. Thanks for taking good care of them!

Adore my sweet cats - give my life so much joy.

This is so true. I wish more psychiatrists would prescribe cats or dogs.
my psych actually has a therapy dog in her Office! it's awesome.
Here. Take 2 tabbies and call me in the morning.
+Stephan Mahler love it
I totally agree !
Dogs can be a little stressful through. Their more responsibility too.

Seriously, my depression and anxiety pills work well but.... since i adopted my cat, ive never felt so happy. i love you pocky.
Purr therapy. Best "happy pill" I know. (Side effects include giggling, cooing, melting, and general "aww"-ing).
They are wonderful for anxiety!
I suffer from depression my cats help me greatly. Thanks for the video to remind me .

Yumi feels when I'm very sad, and she doesn't leave me alone on purpose cause it might get worse!
That was beautiful...my kittie is the love of my life. I suffer from depression and anxiety and I always say that she is the best medicine for me..
The most important message on YT today ....in fact all week so far. Well articulated.
Awwwww it's our favourite human 💐👽👽👽🇨🇦

Best day of my life? The day I got my cat. FACT!
Best day of my life when i got my third which was hiding under a car in a crowded avenue :)
Thank you for rescuing that one !
THANK YOU for rescuing that poor thing! Bless you.
i love cats so much. they make me happy. Shorty and Kodi are adorable. I see she still chases shadows and plays in the bathtub.
After watching a few of their videos, I think I like Shorty more than Owl Kitty. They are both adorable, sweet and kooky, but there’s just something about Shorty that makes me wish she were my cat. Thanks for sharing them with the world. We appreciate it:

It's so true that petting them is therapeutic, I couldn't agree more! They are soul healers =)😻
Beautiful, and so true!
This was hard to watch after losing my cat of 16 years this week. She was the best and really did give me a reason to get up in the morning.
In case someone didn't know, they actually have a program called "Pets for Vets" which actually prescribe DOGS to military veterans (or those that had to leave due to... problems) that helps for the same reasons you listed.
Who needs pills when you can have a pet?
Aww♡ They DO so much!! Thank you for the vid...Very touching!
This made me tear up a lil
2 of my favorite RUclips kitties!
I am a neuropsychologist working with children and adolescents and I wish I could take my Cats to work but so many have allergies today it isn't allowed...but my Babies bring me a lot of Joy!
From my experience, this is all true. Very sweet video. 👏
Mate, you are a champ! This is beautiful, so true, & Shorty & Kodi are absolute treasures! Cheers!
This is true, I have two cats and a dog, and I love them all SOOOOOOO much
I love felines!!! You welcome them into your loving home and give them all your appreciation and time and they shortly take over your life and become in charge of you. They are the BOSS and they are super awesome!!!! Not to mention their little tiny ears, big owl-like eyes, and feisty personalities! :D
I know this was gonna be emotional! 😿😻😻😻 cats are life!!
Really appreciate your Sho Ko posts. This morning was purrfect viewing to start my day. Thank you so very much.
Your cats are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Beautiful job Rob 💜
Bravo. So well said. My cats keep me alive x
This is the best video that I've ever watched all those statements are sooooooooo true!! I love cats 🐱
They give us a reason... That is why I keep going somedays. Sometimes its the only reason I can remember to keep trying - I have to make sure she has a home and food. Because she always cares.
I lost my cat a year ago and this video made me miss my cat so much.
Yes! All of these are so true! CATS FOR LIFE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
In one of his books, James Herriot tells the story of a man with terrible depression who "comes out of that dark valley, led by his dog." I might not have the wording exactly correct, but that's the sentiment.
Precious fur babies.
Shorty is the twin of my cat. Everytime I watch one of your videos, I think of her.
THE SUPREME EMPEROR APPROVES THIS VIDEO
hahahaha love it.
Lol that's a relief bc I wasn't so sure
These are all the reasons I have and love my cat
Shorty is such a beauty!
Cats are one of the reasons I am done with my anxiety and depression.
Michita the kitty give me happiness, she is very important and special in my life
What a beautiful video, thank you!

I loved the video. Well!!! I love them all.... 😍🌺❤️❤️
Aw so heartwarming!
