  • In this video I visit the location of Chester Bennington’s memorial as well as a stop at his former house and a tour through Palos Verdes. I explain why there is no grave for Chester and clear up any confusion regarding his funeral.
Song: Across the Water by Jory Nash from the album One Way Down available at www.jorynash.com
Chester Charles Bennington (March 20, 1976 - July 20, 2017) was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He was best known as the lead vocalist for Linkin Park. He was also lead vocalist for the bands Dead by Sunrise, Grey Daze, and Stone Temple Pilots. Bennington is widely regarded as one of the top rock musicians of the 2000s. Hit Parader magazine placed him at number 45 on their list of the "100 Metal Vocalists of All Time. Bennington was found dead at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California; his housekeeper discovered his body around 9:00 a.m. PST on July 20, 2017. His death was ruled a suicide.

He DESERVES a proper memorial!! He’s a legend and an even more brilliant person. A true loss. I am still grieving just as hard today, almost FOUR years after that day……fans were promised a memorial. Give the man what he wanted! Publish his autobiography like HE wanted. His family, his children, his fans want a place to visit and pay our respects. Love you always C.

I would tend to agree with you, but some families have different traditions.Perhaps they find more comfort keeping his remains close.I lost my son in 2016 & having to leave his remains at the cemetery was 1 of the hardest aspects of letting him go.Second only to having to positively identify him after what those SOB’s did to him.One of my son’s favorite bands ever was Lincoln Park, maybe he’s giving concerts in heaven.

I saw Linkin Parknlive during The Hunting Party tour back in 2014 and I won a meet & greet with the band. Chester was one of the most humble, caring and kind you could ever meet. The singer of the biggest Rock band of their time and he was still so down to earth and humble, we not only lost a great talent but a great human being.

Meeting him in person twice will always be the highlight of my life. I was driving into my house when I heard the news on the radio. I asked my kids to please get out of the car and go inside w their dad. I screamed, cried , threw up . My life was never the same after . I have my two tattoos that I got back in the early 2000’s to always remember what a big part of my life he was. The most hurtful thing is not knowing what to do with my grief . There was no recording of his memorial. Nothing but the concert a few months after. By then my scars were formed . I literally went to therapy . There was nowhere to leave my pain. I had old h.s friends calling me to ask how I was doing . I played Linkin Park on my pregnant belly for both my pregnancies . Headphones and all. We were supposed to go to his concert as they were old enough. That never happened. I will never forgive his wife for excluding us in the mourning process . Now she advocates for mental health but that was a part of our healing process . Even his ex wife says she would’ve done things differently. We were a part of his growth and he was a part of ours. Thank you for this video . His anniversary is right around the corner. I love you Chester . I will never be the same woman without my fav artist . One day I will make a video w all the pictures of our meet and greets… tattoos.

I find it sad and honestly I'm kind of angered that Chester has no Gravestone... Simply for people to go to to pay respects even though his body isn't there if that makes sense. Beautiful scenery at the memorial! The rainbow in the background, wow---incredible timing! I've been a huge Linkin Park fan since my best friend introduced me to Hybrid Theory back when I was in my senior year of high school in 2003. Been listening to Linkin Park and Chester's other projects more than anybody else ever since. I was working on setting up a yard sale when my girlfriend told me the news of Chester's death. My heart sank I nearly cried instantly. Music is so powerful. I lost a friend and mentor back in 2012, I attempted suicide fully motivated to be done, but was saved just in time. Living things really helped me along to the road of recovery. Waiting for the end to come also. Never met Chester, but he feels like a big brother. I won't ever believe for a damn second he committed suicide. Whacked for whatever reason, maybe it's something he knew. Maybe it was a jealously deal. The truth always finds a way out, we have to keep bugging and keep digging. I hope Chester is doing ok as a spirit, but I would assume a restless one. To go from such heights, fighting and battling your way through depression and life to have it ended so early would be awfully frustrating.

Chester struggled after losing his good friend Chris, don’t let any one of us give up because of Chester!! Hug your pet if you really want unconditional love!! Peace to all!

Put off listening to One More Light, coincidentally, until only a few hours before hearing the news. The song was Heavy, and I remember thinking 'I hope he's getting good help, something is wrong.'
Never again in my life, will I ever wish so hard that I was the one wrong 😢
I went through more abuse, in more ways, than any person ever should and Chester is very much the main reason why I'm still here. When no one else got it, he did. When no one could possibly know what I had been dealing with, he would have. Even though I never had the chance to meet him, Chester had - in my mind - become my best friend, and his music with Linkin Park was his way of comforting anyone in that dark place.
When all else failed, when the mind had to be tricked into not allowing suicide to be an option, Chester is who the promise was made to. Because no one else had given me reason to believe it would remain unbreakable. Obviously, it still remains unbreakable, even when the darkness uses the new excuse of 'He did it, why shouldn't you be able to?' ...
Thank you for such a beautiful memorial video, even though you didn't really know who he was. He meant more than he ever knew to a lot of people and this video is very touching, and very much appreciated. Thank you 🙏❤💙💚

Rayne Storm I agree AND I thank you for sharing your story bc it can help others to realize they aren’t the only ones who have been dealing with REALLY TOUGH problems. I ALSO want to drop a crumb in your lap that is worth it’s thorough consideration: which is that Chester’s untimely and most TRAGIC death was not suicide, but rather, a homicide. Same with his friend Chris Cornell. Do I think all celebrity or rock star deaths are suspicious - of course not. Do I have ALL the answers figured out- of course not. All I’m saying is that since I have been super-closely, since the day each death happened, been micro-analyzing every angle of their cases, I can VERY STRONGLY SUGGEST you research those facts and possibilities. GOOD LUCK TO YOU . 😇💐Julie in Texas

@@gingeroo5765 Have been looking in to many celeb deaths - specifically suicides - over the past few weeks or so, which started with Chester's autopsy report. Stop with the murder conspiracy, and stop trying to tell people you're doing something you're not. There is NO EVIDENCE of foul play, OTHER than the possibility of pharmaceutical side effects, which is already under (unfortunately small-scale) investigation on behalf of whom you mentioned and others.
And, before you repeat what every one of those videos has told you, let me set some things straight; The "torn" shirt was in the bathroom hamper, he was found in his own bedroom, blood came from him biting through his own tongue when jaw and neck muscles tensed, that is NOT bruising on his arms and legs but livor mortis - pooling of blood to the lowest points of gravity after the heart has stopped pumping, which WILL cause the skin to become discolored as if bruised.
Here's something for you, when you do decide to research, rather than using someone else's propaganda...
      Zolpiderm (in regards to Chester)
      Effects of Zolpiderm with alcohol
Side effects of Lorazepam (Chris Cornell)
Side effects of Mirtapazine (Robin Williams)
And that's not even the full list between the three, let alone anyone else.
Bonus, I'll even give you an article to show how this has already been in research:

Rayne Storm Excuse YOU. First of all, you don’t even know how to simply COMMUNICATE CORDIALLY with another person, much less, HEAR what they have to say. You don’t need to attack me. I’m not trying to “DO” anything or quote anyone else’s propaganda, which I didn’t do in my comment and didn’t suggest I would do in future comments. I’m glad you have been looking into these things for some weeks now. I have intensely on the 2 cases for a couple YRS, and since you aren’t wanting to take my word for some of what I discovered, I will gladly step aside and let you foolishly turndown painstakingly acquired information that literally took an investigative Army of amazing minds and tools, hours and years and friends and family members, investigators, you/ name it-around the WORLD, connected to these deceased and cases down rabbit holes with twists and turns that would blow you away. But unfortunately for YOU, you don’t want to hear anything anyone else has to say- you just think that you know everything, well, okay. You probably trust whatever the police report says was their finding of the whole case and therefore- BAM!-so be it- that MUST BE THE TRUTH IF THE POLICE SAID SO, RIGHT? If that is what you believe with Chester, and if you believe Chris Cornell’s greedy wife’s phony drug-addict suicide narrative, you are well within your right to do so but our rights to have our opinion on these matters have NOTHING to do with you needing to be aggressive with me. Really, I was simply just making a suggestion you check it out if you hadn’t ever considered it before. That was really all it was about originally. Sorry you got all triggered. Good luck reinventing the wheel from scratch.

It's so crazy. Two weeks before he passed I has a dream I was at a Linkin Park concert. Everyone disappeared and he was next to me. I jumped with surprise and he signed my phone case. I looked down to examine it and looked back at him. He had both arms in straight white casts connected to his torso like an old fashioned cast for broken ribs or something. He looked at me with a straight face and said "I didn't do it. I didn't do it to myself." And I looked behind me and saw princess diana. Weird. Weird dream. Then I heard he died and I cried for an entire year. He actually saved me from taking my own life with his music.

I've seen the autopsy report, and while I still don't agree with the conventional theory he, or Chris, was murdered, it does hold some small possibility....indirectly.
Ativan (Chris) and Ambien (Chester) have both shown side effects of increased anxiety, depression and suicidal ideations and actions. Now, I can't be 100% on this theory, as I do not have anything to support that Chester had taken the Ambien, BUT when mixed with even a little bit of alcohol (even without it), can cause people to sleepwalk. I went into some research, and found stories where some people have driven, done laundry, even broken into neighbor's homes, with no recollection whatsoever after waking. Ativan can do the same.
I believe it is definitely not outside the realm of possibility that Chester went home, had a few drinks - nothing too heavy - and then may have taken the Ambien to be able to rest fully before the photoshoot the next morning. Sometime after.....
He wouldn't have even realized what was happening

Living Things, Hunting Party and OML are fantastic. Also be sure to listen to Mike Shinoda (the Co founder and rapper from Lp) his first solo record. Post Traumatic is a record about Mike going through the struggle of losing Chester and the days after, 3 months after, 6 months etc. From the 1st song to the last, you see the dark and grief ridden Shinoda turn back into his flamboyant self ready to see what's next and #makechesterproud. Another great video! So respectful. As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, and has also been affected by suicide it is nice to see someone show compassion and seem to genuinely care to show others about different people and places and inform others about the little things that made them great, and not dwell on the negative impact that mental health has, but shine a positive light on the individual, not the disease. ( i hope that makes sense, its hard to put into words at times🙂)

The band was called Snow White Tan originally, then they changed it to Death By Sunrise.
What a lovely place to hold his service. I don't know how much you know about his memorial service but, there was plenty of animosity from family and friends over the way it was handled by Talinda. She for one thing only focused on the time they had spent together. The rest of his life didn't seem to exist at that service. Obviously leaving family distraught.
You missed something in your video Scott, didn't you see it? The beautiful rainbow at the 8:42 mark. Must of been the cool shade's you were wearing. ;)
His house was rather modest, it's nice to see that I am not sure if I would want to buy a house that someone committed suicide in. Would you?
    Nicely done. Peace...

Rockin' Into The Night thank you Stacy . Yes I was reading all about the disagreements between his wife and ex wife, pretty sad when there are children involved . It is a modest house yes but from an aerial view it’s quite expansive. I did notice the rainbow as I was leaving and driving over the hill. It was beautiful. Would I live in the house? Hmmm. Probably . Things like that don’t bother me really but you never know til you actually live there I think

Chester and his (then pregnant) girlfriend was sitting down the row from us. My brother and I went over to say hi. Got a great photo of him with my brother. A day I'll always remember.
