  • Because the ASRock B550 PG Velocita doesn’t come with integrated WiFi, but does have an available m.2 slot and antenna holes in the I/O shield, I wanted to see how easy and affordable it was to add this feature. All I had to do was find the right m.2 card with the latest standards and it was off to the races. The best part is, this video will apply to nearly anyone with a motherboard that has an m.2 WiFi slot! Welcome to the Middle of Knowhere.

I wish wifi was standard, to the point where you would have to actively seek boards that were not ready with on board wifi.

@@MiddleofKnowhere k thx. Can I take one from eBay for 13€ or do you think I should go PCIe? I just think it's smart to use that feature if I have it

Up to you really. A pcie slotted wifi solution can perform just as well as the m.2, but you’re then using a slot below your gpu and if you have a thick gpu you may not have room. I’m always for saving money if you can get the same results.

If the B660m Pro board has the same kind of m.2 wifi slot with the same kind of Keying, then yeah, you should be good.
