  • Have you ever been told to “slow down”! Patience is a virtue. And just hearing those words doesn’t even sound plausible to you? And may even encourage you to speed up just a little bit more?
And instead that your life and world operate with urgency and speed; urgency to help; to give; to be successful; to give back; to live! Well, this Talk is for you. Michelle, through her experience as an executive, a corporate board member, a community volunteer, a philanthropist, an executive coach, a consultant, an adventurer…and so much more describes these urgent types. She talks about their qualities, how you may want to exercise your urgency, as well as how to live and work with them.
Leonardo di Vinci said, “I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.” The world needs all type of people. And its time the urgent folks are recognized for their gifts and contributions. As Michelle says, “we amplify and put into action all we touch, especially the great work of those virtuous patient people." Michelle Lucero lives life with urgency. She’s just a small-town girl that... is a community champion, C-Suite Executive for a prestigious system of health, Children’s Hospital Colorado (chief administrative officer, general counsel, and chief flashmob officer) a motivational speaker, coach, mentor, mother, corporate board member, consultant, and adventurer…
Michelle is a true believer that we have an obligation to give back to our community and the world. She is able to do and accomplish all she is blessed to do, both locally and globally, because she is a person who lives life with urgency. Michelle also has a consulting business (Edgefinders, LLC) and is writing two books - the first on embracing milestones and the second on authentic leadership. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
