However my friend.......you, and you alone, thought it to be a piece of 'nothing', when all along it has been a gorgeous piece of 'something'....something beautiful..!!
Larry Slemp - I doubt I am the only one who thought 'firewood' on first sight but, knowing it was in the hands of a master craftsman knew it was going to be way more than that.
That wood grain is just gorgeous. It’s always amazing what beauty resides inside of a gnarled and twisted piece of old wood. Kind of an analogy for seniors, I’d say... nicely done.
Old root ball, plus a beautiful colour of resin magically transformed by Andy into a absolutely stunning piece of art Great video to watch, thank you for sharing 😉
Not only do I like the work you do, I like they way you do it. . .silently! I get so tired of these RUclipsrs who think they have to describe their every movement or fill the airwaves with music. Woodworkers want to hear the wood being worked, that's all! Because of that I liked as many of your videos as I could find and subscribed and hit the notification bell, which is what every other site begs me to do as they are prattling on about what they are doing.
OMG!!! EVERY TIME you amaze me more than the last time. I can't imagine how you come up with the idea, and how you can envision an end product that turns out so incredibly beautiful every time. Incredible as always! Can't wait to see what comes next. Take care, and thanks for sharing.
“You de man”! I watch in sheer fear going....”he’s going to loos e a finger?” U are so talented and hey amateurs who thinks this would be a gr8 first time project...forget it! Leave it to the Pro’s like Andy! This is so dangerous for those of us with little or no experience. Andy is a well gifted craftsman and KNOW’S his work! Thank you Mr. Phillip for the beautiful and “on the edge of your seat” lathe work! You work is exceptionally beautiful and a well crafted. Thank you 🙏🏻 for all the guidance and videos! You are the man! Take care, stay well and stay healthy!
Very Nice Andy! I love the various colors of the yellows and gold combined! The shape is Perfection as well! Have a Great Weekend! Stay Safe, Stay Well and Stay Blessed!
You are a MASTER CRAFTSMAN! Yellow is my favorite color. It's so happy and positive. I can't tell you how many times I've been asked in my lifetime career, "How do you sing like that?" Now, I get it. I was right all along. I tell them, "I don't know." It's simply inside you. Whatever that is... it's just who you are and not something you just do. There's something very special and unique about the core of you where you have this vision and it changes as you go but at the end, it always turns out as something that came from a great place. Congratulations.😊🙏🤟
I would not guess one could create such a beautiful piece from a terrible looking log, but cheers to you and and your skill on creating a nice vase from that. Congratulations, I need to also say that I like best your work with translucent resina, those are gorgeous.
I don’t know about the rest of you all but I get a Bob Ross type feeling when I watch Andy Phillips do his thing the only thing’s missing are some happy little trees and clouds lol. There’s something very satisfying watching beautiful art being created.
I’ve personally never been that big of a fan of the color yellow, but it works well on this piece. I like the way the resin has swirls, a beautiful black edge to it, and the overall look of the wood. Beautiful work 💜
Man... the stuff that comes off your lathe is just incredible. I feel like I could stare at that vase and notice something new each time I look at it. Truly beautiful.
Beautiful as always! Keep up the good work, and be blessed always for continually entertaining us with the creation of your wonderful art (and utilitarian ) pieces! 😊🎨🎨
First, that has got to be one of the scariest things I have seen spinning around on a lathe, what's next a tangled ball of razor wire? Second, am I the only one who thought for a second Andy was going to turn the duck tape and plastic!? just me....... That turned out amazing!
Hello! I always watch your videos with great aesthetic pleasure) You make unique masterpieces. Sometimes you really want to touch a warm tree that carries an unforgettable aroma and history, each copy has its own
I have watched many of these videos and still cannot believe how an ugly chunk of nothing more than firewood turns into such a brilliant work of art.
Linda Andrews I agree with you ! Many people by-pass these challenges not realizing the potential out comes & opportunities they’re missing .
However my friend.......you, and you alone, thought it to be a piece of 'nothing', when all along it has been a gorgeous piece of 'something'....something beautiful..!!
@@larryslemp9698 everything has the potential for beauty, or ugliness; all decided by the artist’s vision, and then by the audiences’ perception.

Are you saying we should run seniors through a lathe?

Andy - love your work. Would you consider ending your videos with a side-by-side of the original piece of wood and the finished piece?
Wow!!! That is amazing. Love the colours. 💛💛🤍🤍💛💛

Are you kidding me? Andy is just amazing!!! Like a magician! Amazing talent!!

Nice and simple.
With those colours, and the character of the wood, I think that's one of my favourites so far.

I love this! I feel like it would be a perfect way to display sunflowers. 💛
The knots and the colors are stunning!
The yellow complements the wood grain. Beautiful piece!
Beautiful job Andy. That yellow really pops.
It's very interesting. The colors and the woodgrain are complimentary.
I love how nonchalantly Andy Phillip steps up his game with each project. Phenomenal work as always!
I love that you used yellow resin. I haven’t seen that much and it contrasts beautifully with the grain of the wood. It is a bright, cheerful piece!
Thank you

What an incredibly awesome piece of artwork Andy!! Excellent work! Cheers, Paige C.
The ugly duckling. Sensational! The yellow appears to be as crushed pineapple. Sweet and delicious. Well done. I’m ready for the next piece of art!
An absolutely lovely, eye-catching piece of art. Beyond recognizing you as a top-tier woodturner, Andy, it's my view that few can do goo like you do.
