Thank you so much for sharing this lovely recording. You play this lovely Mozart Sonata beautifully. I love your attention to all the little subtle nuances that are so important in Mozarts music. Your precise articulation is delightful. This is already a lovely Sonata and you do it full justice. Mozart would be very happy with your interpretation. Well done.
Bravo, very nice. I've always wondered what god had in mind, when Mozart was cast as a child. Uncanny ability to see music as a conversive musical artform. You look nice, prim & proper in this vid. Feel honored. Thank you for the privilege to enjoy this concert.
Thank you for the compliments!😊 regarding the conversational nature of Mozart's music, I completely agree. I think this is what draws me to him is that I can clearly identify various character types and how they are interacting with each other, as a dialog , monologs, discussion, argument or agreement....all those various types of human dynamics. It is most vividly showing in his operas, in my opinion. But each of his piano sonatas is a true gem, unique and rich in meaning. But not everyone hears that in Mozart's music. I am glad to find a like-minded opinion here!!😀👍
Like Bach, a two-handed workout for your keyboard calisthenics. I especially loved the lilt of Movement 3. Take a bow! Also, the Yamaha CFX sounded beautiful.
Thank you so much!🙏 Yes, I also particularly enjoy playing the 3rd movement!! It's so playful, yet complex and multi dimensional. I had to look up the word "lilt". Thank you for enriching my vocabulary 😄
Hi Ed, Thank you , you are too generous with your praise! I finally uploaded the video about the accompaniment styles, I hope you find it helpful! I am not sure this is the format you wanted, but it is what I felt I can do best. ruclips.net/video/ko_YCIxC2UY/видео.html
Here early! 😉 I loved your trills. It shows how good the action is on the piano. I loved the whole sonata. Are there any Beethoven sonatas you want to learn?
Hi Adam, thank you the compliments 😊 I love Mozart's sonatas! Yes, piano is doing a great job for me:) To be honest, I'm in such deep Mozart phase now, that I didn't think about Beethovem's sonatas for some time...but since you asked I thought about it a bit, and now I would be attracted to No 3 in C major and No 8 in C minor, especially as a pair! Generally I say I would be ready to play his early sonatas, but not the late ones ....not yet...I need to grow into them.to mature...but one day I think I will lay those too:) What about you? Do you prefer Mozart or Beethoven sonatas to play?
@@Dariafortepiano Beethoven's early sonatas are so good and aren't played enough. I love number 3 and played it last year! All movements are amazing, but I only got the first movement to performance level. The middle section is a flurry of broken arpeggios and it's pretty hard, but the rest is mostly doable. The last movement is extremely technically challenging. The second movement is just gorgeous and I believe the 3rd is a scherzo. I would also suggest looking at the 7th sonata in D major! It is so good, especially the first 2 movements. I've learned so much Beethoven sonatas over the past 3 years(no. 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 21) that I'm kinda burt out. Now I'm on a Chopin/Liszt faze. ^^
Yes, the second mvt of no 10 is sublime!! So beautiful! I agree about the early sonatas not being played enough, also they are closer to Mozart's spirit than his later sonatas, this is why I like them more at this moment I think, since I'm in a Mozart/ Chopin phase;) That's great! You played so many already and you are so young!! Way to go!!👏👏 I only played first one or two movements of 5, 6 and 10. Will definitely come back to Beethoven at some point! I was also in a Listz phase when i was 17-18. So I completely understand the passion and fury😉🎹👍
Brilliant performance. I can already tell you're gonna be big on RUclips and much deservedly so! your playing oozes quality. Congratz on passing me on Sub count haha, 10k soon! :)
Thank you Yotam!! You are very kind, I appreciate your support🙏🙂 haha, I'm not sure how it will unfold, but I enjoy sharing what I do and what I know about piano and music:) if it can reach a broader audience I am happier for it, I can guess we all feel similar, right? Nice to hear from you! Post more videos!🎹👍
Hi! Thank you for your feedback and comment! Actually the audio is recorded directly to the piano itself, so no editing, a clean sound file. But I used very little reverb, you are correct. Chamber setting with 10 level. I liked it that way for this sonata on the CFX. Just seemed fitting.
Hi Daria, Superb. Just for the satifcation of my curiosity, you recorded the sound directly on you piano; how did you synced it so beatifully with the video?
Hi Manuel! Thank you for your kind words! 😊 haha, I got used to doing it pretty quickly actually. I use Imovie and I zoom in on the maximum on the time cursor so I can be very precise with mili seconds. Then I play both video with sound and the separate audio file together, until they are exactly synced. Then I mute the video and only keep the aidio. You can also look at the shape of the sound waves to match them. Takes practice and time, but not too hard. 🙂
Beautifully done 👏! Sounds great from the very start, through the softness and subtleties in the 2nd movement, to the trills and marvelous patterns in the 3rd movement, everything was superb. All with no sheet music in front of you 😳. I cannot imagine how much effort it would take not only to memorize the notes but also all the nuances, and also keep the timing so steady throughout. What was your recording setup, if you don’t mind sharing? Simply wonderful, Daria!
Hello Srinivas, I'm replying late, as usual, I hope you don't mind! Thank so much for your detailed feedback! I'm very happy to know that I was able to project the little nuances of Mozart's music through my playing!😊 as for memorization, I found my way to do it pretty effectively, but it is very individual for everyone....in fact for me nuances are easy to memorize. As long as I understand their meaning and purpose in context, my ear just remembers them, hard to forget afterwards... But the piece is the longest I have ever played one piece do.far, so it was challenging, I won't lie to hold the concentration for almost 20 min..but I'm getting better at it, I think, definitely need more practice to avoid little attention slips.. My setup was CFX, medium touch , reverb chamber, I think 10 or 12 level. String and body resonance 6, key off sample 2. Thank you so much for listening and supporting my channel!🙂🎹
Hi Daria, thank you very much for your detailed reply on the settings. I don’t mind the delay at all in your replies. Did you record directly from the speakers or use the line outs? Alas, I had to give up on my plans to buy a P-515. I’ve been waiting on my order since the beginning of January this year only to be told it won’t arrive till April. I settled for a Kawai ES-110, got it delivered within 3 days! It is more than sufficient for my skill level but a far cry from the one I really wanted.
