BTW, am not here for the projector but from the lil knowledge what I know about projector. For the paint u have. That's good what u did there. Well done!
Projector brands don't really mean squat dude. It's how real the specs they state in their specification matters. Some better than others due to their R&D in their own respective conditions & material used. That's what matters. A good indoor image for projector, u can go for a spec like a 2000 ansi lumens, 3000:1 contrast ratio or above(higher better picture clarity) & most important resolution 1920x1080p is the best, of course puting 4k aside. But if budget is key, go for at least 1280x70p. & LCD still better than DLP.

2000lumens with 3000:1 conttrast ratio with at least 1280x800 resolution is good. If u can get a higher contrast ratio & resolution is what makes the image projects more clarity. Higher lumens without higher contrast does make a good image clarity in lighted room. Make sure it's an actual lumens & contrast ratio.
Just get any deep matt black paint not glossy & try it urself. U can go dark grey too. Dark grey is like 1 part grey & 2 or 3 parts black. Start with small footprint & when u achieve what u want, then the serious painting to what ever u use will start.
