To clarify, this car doing 4.9 seconds is NOT FAST. Especially when compared to this car competition. The BMW X5 M50i does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. The Audi SQ8 and SQ7 does 3.8 seconds. Those cars also sound better and ride just as nice (in the case of the Audi nicer). I understand this isn’t the C63 but it’s also shouldn’t be an AMG product. It’s handling is mediocre, the power is adequate for something this size but nothing more, and ultimately it doesn’t make you feel like your driving an AMG product. It’s a very mid car and after spending years driving tons of different cars, this is easily an AMG product that doesn’t inspire. However, I have another AMG product coming tomorrow (that’s not a 63 model) that is VERY GOOD. 🙂

This car’s primary competitors are better in almost every way, so that makes it pretty mid in the overall scale of new German SUVs. Its important to mention that its competitors are just better because that shows where this car falls short in comparison
I think he was speaking relatively. A now ~20 year old Chevy Trailblazer SS with less hp does 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds so 5 seconds for a 2023 AMG isn't quick enough.
