Great video! Can the expression pedal have an add-on assignment where heel down can trigger the tuner (while still also being volume post-amp/pre delay and reverb? Thanks!
Thank you! 🙏🏻 Unfortunately, you can't get that detailed with the heel and toe functions on the Nano Cortex. This possibly could be in a future update though. One workaround could be to intercept via USB midi with a DAW. This may get complicated though.
Great video! I'm considering the Nano Cortex but am I understanding correctly that it's not possible to use a midi footswitch and expression pedal simultaneously? I use a Behringer FCB1010 which has both PC switches as well as 2 expression pedals, but the NC seems to force you to choose one or the other?
Thank you! 🙏🏻 Unfortunately, that is indeed the case with the TRS jack. I am wondering in future updates if they will allow both via USB. That would at least give you the ability to expand, but not with the gear you mention. This was sort of a surprising feature miss, in my opinion.
If you wish to use a physical wah pedal, you simply plug in line with the Nano Cortex input. You don't need to use the expression pedal port, as this is just a physical pedal that can control virtual pedals on the Nano Cortex itself.
I tend to agree. I am curious what future software updates will bring though. Even though pre/post device blocks are fixed today, doesn't mean they might be interchangable in the future. We will just have to wait and see.
thank you gary !
You're welcome! 🙏🏻

Which expression pedal are you using?
Thanks for the informative videos! 🙂🤟🏻
Thank you and glad to hear you find them useful!
It's a PaintAudio Expression Pedal (used in this video):

@@GaryWrightMusic thanks for the reply! Yea that's pretty disappointing considering it can handle those tasks separately
The new ToneX firmware update with the added effects is a big hit to the Cortex.
There is certainly a lot of competition at this price point. People will always have a preference, given the varying use cases.
Hey Gary ! Thanks for the video very interesting. Do you know when tap tempo, controlled by one of the two switches, will be available on the nano ?
If I want to use a crybaby pedal, I need to do this configuration? or plug the crybaby in the front an after plug the nano?

No wah or whammy is a huge miss for having an expression pedal option

Good afternoon to you, as well!
