The Pilgrim: This guest will head to any new ride you've opened as part of a huge group of guests, like a pilgrimage to a sacred site. Whether they get on is another question.
'intensephobics' will go on every single flat ride and kiddie coaster, but nopes out if a ride looks too intense. foodies - they'll eat their way around the park because they can. great for ''best food' awards.
Reminds me of Yoshi Valley in Mario Kart 64. Everyone's a ? but the "racing around the screen perimeter" view shows everyone at specific levels of track progress, so it DAMN WELL knows what place everyone is in!
Remember that this game is pre - 2000. Plus the prices are designed so the simulation works. If you think $1.50 is a steal, then think about how cheap $49 upkeep is. No one would be willing to work for that. Especially if you also consider the building upkeep, cleaning etc.
I remember there's some coding for their pathfinding, making them much more prone to get stuck on some dead ends than other dead ends. I believe it's the same bias causing guests in vanilla to be unable to finish a left indented maze. If anything, I wouldn't mind if they leave that quirk in OpenRCT2 for guests who have not bought a park map. Would love to see guests with a map to not get lost on double, triple or wider paths, ignore dead ends and take (transport) rides* if that makes the travel to their destination shorter or faster. *I personally like to use coasters, like the corkscrew with the Shinkansen trains, as they are often a lot quicker and more fun to play with than the miniature railway or monorail.
Their path finding algorithm is very simple. To avoid getting lost guests, you need to put a no-entry sign on dead ends, make paths as straight as possible and connect behind every ride. See, as far as I know, the path finding checks at an intersection in which direction the desired target is. The path in that direction is then chosen. They don't check for dead ends or if the path actually ends even closer to the ride than they've been before. Hope that helps. 🙂
Type 10 The Drowner: is weird, because they never even bother learning to swim. They rather die. if they spent as much time learning to swim as much as they do complaining about the park, they'd swim just fine.

2:01 Well, the game did debut in 1999. That and it’s a British game and I don’t think there’s any actual conversion into different currencies. I think that when you choose a currency, all that changes is the currency sign.
The game does adjust the price scale depending on the currency selected. It picks from powers of ten. And the swedish kr is given the wrong setting, making the prices silly.
As a kid, I never completed any scenario, because in my kids mind all I wanted to do is to build and watch amusement parks and rides and didn't even care about goals. That is until I watched you and other rct contents and made me realize as a teenager I've been playing rct 2 and 3 wrong the whole time. This year as an adult, I completed my very first scenario in rct 2. I have already completed all vanilla rct 3 scenarios 5 years ago.
Man I'm glad I wasn't the only one who made a conscious effort to turn certain guests into this mad maniac 😛 I'd pick up every sick guest, put them on a path till they puke and then move them back so the one guy isolated on there would have the worst time possible

Hey Cody you are AWESOME. I mean seriously some of your videos are just hilarious ! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to download RCT2 on IOS? I also was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to unlock all scenarios on RCT on IOS. I made it pretty far but some of these challenges are just so dang hard. The Pilgrim: This guest will head to any new ride you've opened as part of a huge group of guests, like a pilgrimage to a sacred site. Whether they get on is another question.
The baby, They never ride any big thrill or coaster. All they ride is most gentle ride ever and only ride that gentle ride
The All Rides Are Too Intense For Me, despite you going out of your way to make it below 1.

HAHA yes!! So great
There's always a guest that never wants to ride anything because all rides are either too intense or not exciting enough

The Opinionchanger.
The guy who first wants to go somewhere, but when he arrives at the entrance he changes his mind.
Ooo that’s a good one!!
Ah yes "Headed for Wooden Roller Coaster 1" "Gets there, and then goes somewhere else with zero comment or thought whatsoever."

The guest who walks around for 5 minutes, walks past ALL rides, then wants to go home.

$1.50 is an absolute steal. I went to Six Flags recently for a school fieldtrip and the soft drinks were bare minimum of $5
