I'm still new to the watch world and it blows my mind how from a small distance and such you can tell these fakes so quickly. I understand that comes with experience but would love to hear the details so I can learn stuff to watch for....no pun intended.

As to Gucci, there is a debate about their quality because 40 years ago they bought a Swiss watch company, and made it Gucci Watches, and that is who makes it. As to Fossil, it was founded as a budget quartz watch company in the 80s, and while they make a lot of the fashion watches, their own name brand stuff are actually decent quality for the price.
