Often I will post photos of a guitar throught the build process because I get so excited about something that I can't wait to show it off.... In the end you can order it however you want it.
Very Nice.. King Blossom guitars went into some details on how to do side marker Fiber optics but i would really enjoy seeing a video on how to acutally get the LED inlays and running them through the body.. As well as maybe Inlay with led lights under it.. Using clear epoxy or ?? possabilities are emerging.. Thanks for sharing
I would hope so. It was for a customer and I haven't heard back on how he likes it yet. It was my very first one with RGB LED's. Came out really good but man that is a lot of wiring... Took me over 8 hours to solder it all up
That particular guitar is already sold. I can put you in touch with the owner and that would be an impartial review anyway. Perhaps on the next one I build I'll do a more in-depth review on the guitar itself instead of the LED system.
I wish there was an easier way to do this. Because literally when I sit down to wire one of these up it is about 8 to 10 hours of soldering.... :-( Just for the LED's and then there is all the rest of the work such as removing the fretboard, re-attaching the fretboard, Fretting, wiring it up, etc.... It is a BIG job to do these. But worth it! I haven't seen anything similar that is external and unintrusve to playing.
Chris! Just listen to this, for a minute....my background and education is in electronics, both digital and analog, and mechanics. Also, I've loved playing guitar for 40 years. My current job is doing 3_D CAD Drawings, with Solidworks, for an LED LIGHTING MANUFACTURER! What a co-incidence, huh?- OK - So THIS IS WHY I WROTE: I have an IDEA, FOR YOUR LED GUITARS, that will ramp up their "coolness factor", by 75 percent! They're ALREADY COOL- BUT _THIS_ will make them even COOLER!!!!!!! I can design a parallel LED circuit, whereby, when the players HIT ANY NOTE, it will LIGHT UP THE LEDs! NOW - I'm sure you can imagine, if I can make ANY note light up ALL of them, than I can make CERTAIN NOTES LIGHT CERTAIN LEDs!...Like the E STRING light up the Blue LEDS, A STRING light up the GREEN LEDs, etc...OR, I could make ALL NOTES BELOW A -440Hz, light up BLUE, and ALL NOTES ABOVE A - 440Hz, light up RED. SO, during a BASS SOLO, with a flurry of notes, it would be a sea of.Blue and Red....Or, if the band has a logo or favorite color, say,.GREEN, you can make all the notes light up GREEN, and it will show a Rhythmic pattern of GREEN, along with the BEAT!....I can foresee a LOT of Rhythmic ideas and color patterns!!
Hi Mikey, That sounds totally cool. I however am backed up with orders for the next year. Maybe fried me up on Facebook though and we might do something in the future?...
Can you do a more in depth review/demo of the guitar because you didnt play the guitar? And also Because i WILL be ordering the purple and green guitar somewhere near the time of march or april for sure! Unless i find a guitar which is more awesome which i highly doubt!!
@bigvelvetdog Also, at your website the pictures of the the guitar all show the head stock with the paintjob on it but then the pictures on the bottom show it with the plain, no paint job finish. which comes with the guitar? if you dont understand the question please tell me
Well... Some things are trade secrets. In all the idea of doing this is not rocket science and fairly easy. But the work itself is tedious and takes many hours to do. Start getting tricky with it and it becomes a major project. But always fun to do something new and challenging.
Does adding LED's change the the overall tone from taking out pieces of the neck? Ive been playing bass for 11 years now and always thought the led inlays were flipping awesome! Just not sure if i wanna risk a chance of my tone changing. I hope you know what i mean lol.
it could depending on how the LED installation is done. For example I have done modifications in the past where it was necessary to completely replace the fingerboard. In that case you are going to get a tone variation based on a different piece of wood. For better or worse? But these days i don't even offer those kinds of modifications. The outcome is much better when you are installing LED's on a instrument being built from the ground up.
Well it can be done by someone with experience. I can tell you just by the fact that you are asking this question, without a doubt if you do this yourself you will ruine your guitar. This is the type of thing that should only be done by someone with experience doing it. Frets will never play the same if you pull the neck apart and put it back together. When I do it I completely replace the fingerboard.
Could I send you a guitar idea that I have? I don't care about the LED lights.... I can do that myself.... I am just wondering if you could build one for me? Because it would be AWESOME if you could! :) ~DD
I love your bass playing styles, and the creativity of all of your guitars, it literally awestruck me!
I really like the LED guitars. I need one!
Have a great day!

I've been trying to learn the whole song myself. It is impossibly difficult. (for me) but lots of great riffs in there.
Stu is awesome! One of my favorite bass players

"A bit rusty..." Yeah right! You shredded!

Thanks! There are just so many awesome players out there. I just don't play as much or as well as I used to...

Which materials? LED's? You can get those anywhere... Radio Shack. Other stuff? We make just about everything in-house.
The green and purple one? Just something I built.
man you are good
Yes but it has to be done when building the guitar. There are other methods too but I typically only do it when building the neck.
I would build a bass with this setup but I don't do modifications anymore

@bigvelvetdog Thank you so much!!! i don't like buying guitars when i don't hear them... also how wide is the neck(kinda random but you know).
I absolutely Need the LED Enlays!! I have a SoundGear 505 and the 885, Where do I get it done?

Well, If you are comfortable with steaming off a fretboard and then making a new one and re-assembling it.... it's easy to do. :-)
what was that amazing jem body?
what's the song starting around 3:30? I dig the soundgarden-esq sound in the verse.
The sone is "wildfire in the streets" by Tommy Fields
hey do you have a model and make for that controler?

Is there anyway i can like send in a guitar for you to work on?
What kind of pickups come with the guitar?
