Speak for yourself, it’s unacceptable that a professional athlete gets paid that much money. Btw the Dodgers will not win a Championship with Ohtani on the roster.
@@larrydanadavid2435 Unnaceptable? It’s a business. It’s ridiculous that a player is worth that much, but that’s the amount of revenue a player can create for a franchise. I don’t like it as much as you do, but it’s why many celebrities invest in sports franchises.
I absolutely lose it every time I see this one. Literally probably zoomed in on the guy pitching having no idea there is a freight train heading straight for his junk.
@@ddebenedictis I don't see why? I used to have a physical education teacher who was apparently quite fond of North American sports. So it was a lot of baseball in the warmer months. Never have I been so bored. Either you're standing in the field, waiting patiently for a ball to come your way (which it never did), or you were sitting on the bench waiting for your turn to bat, which almost never happened, since the teacher insisted on the 3 outs rule. Literally no one plays baseball here, so actually getting to first base was quite an achievement. It was beyond bizarre. Still, I do agree that every kid should be able to throw a ball. But there are better sports to be taught at school.
@@michel_dutch You are right, I didn't mean every child should play baseball, I just meant that going outside to play, including tossing a ball around with a pal, was really fun for me. Also, a baseball just happens to be a really good size to fit in your hand so it was pretty easy to throw reasonably accurately.
@@ddebenedictis In that case, I fully agree! 👍I also should have added that baseball practice (basically just throwing the ball between 2 people) actually was fun.
The worst part of Stephen A Smith’s first pitch was that he did a whole inning in the booth. Had to listen to the radio feed of the game on a huge delay for the whole thing.
Throwing off a mound is really different than flat ground; if you've never done it before, your throws are going to sail a lot higher and more arm-side than you expect. McGregor's first pitch is what I'd expect from someone who is decent at playing catch on flat ground but has never thrown from a mound before.
@@markellzey1531 The only problem with that theory is these people live in the spot light. They are use to that attention. The celebs anyway, maybe not the Mayor or beauty queens.
Frankly, as long as it gets more or less on target to the catcher it's not _too_ embarrassing. The one bounce pitch and the one that looped right over were kinda okay. Bad throws without a doubt, but like, if you're gonna be bad at throwing then that's not embarrassingly bad. There was also one that basically dribbled to the catcher, and one that went wide but still catchable that I would give 3rd and 4th on the embarrassing but not too badly so scale.
Jordan Leandre was the best one (Fenway Park)....mostly because he was a pitcher for his high school team...LOL Course the real best part was that he was able to be there to do it at all.
I don’t really care about those politicians, music stars or miss whatevers, but if you are a professional ball sport athlete and you pitch like that, it is downright embarrassing.
THIS IS WILD CRAZY FIRST PITCHING FROM ALL OF THEM LOL. IF THIS WAS A PITCHING FOR A REAL GAME IT WOULD BE BASES LOADED AND SCORING PLAYS BY WALKS ALSO ERRORS TOO
I was thinking I could go out there and sling the ball at least better than Steven A - but then 50 cent came out there and I realized, if 50 can’t throw a good pitch I probably can’t either lol
Ms. Texas stepped with the wrong leg. I'd love to throw out a first pitch but I'd need a month to get my arm back in shape to not hurt myself, and probably another month or two to be confident that I could get it near the plate.
I can not understand why this keeps happening. All these "celebrities " are well aware of others' mishaps while first pitch debacle. However, they keep on doing it. Nobody gets notified of their first pitch delivery minutes before it happens. They have all the time of the world to get some practice...
I'm a Red Sox fan, and I was expecting Jordan's first pitch that hit the guy in the nuts on the fly to be in this video. At 2:37, was not disappointed.

MLB doesn't just grab you with no notice to throw out the first pitch. You and I would be at our local baseball field, on the mound and practice over and over just so we don't look like these people 😅
I know for sure George W. Bush practised his when he threw out the first pitch after 9/11 at yankee stadium for game 3 of the 2001 World Series, but I don't think most people who do don't really care as much lol
I love videos like this that so just how little actual athletic ability Stephen a Smith really has. This one was not quite as cringy as his video of boxing. This list needed Obama's.
It feels weird to throw a pitch without a glove on non throwing hand….that alone throws everything off ….add in nerves and u get results like this . George W Bush still has the best first pitch of all time . He had a nice40- 50 mph strike . Solid throw but not trying to gun it in
Throwing poorly is embarrassing.
Getting smashed in the nuts because someone threw poorly is a thousand times worse.
“Alright Jordan Fire it in there” HE FIRED IT IN THERE ALRIGHT 😭

I don’t. That’s still a ridiculous amount of money to make. Plus baseball is in decline.

Well....apparently knowing the basic mechanics of the over hand throwing motion is not overrated.
It seems like a pretty safe bet that some of these people have never even touched a baseball before. That should be part of everyone's childhood!

Accurate
Give that man the ten thousand dollars!

How can we sit and listen to Steven A yell at us about sports when he cant even reach home plate.
How can anyone listen to him regardless? Turn that noise off.
Lets see him dunk a basket or throw a football 🤣
That’s what I’m saying bro, 😂😂
I know all of us were dying to go out there and just do it ourselves with how bad this was 😂

The “worst” end up being the best as they are the ones we remember.
I love how the rappers always try to say they "did it on purpose" 💀
Didn't these people had kids to play catch with? Man that's atrocious 😅
Bruh. Narcissist don’t play with the kids. That’s someone else’s job because their own lives matter more to them.

That kinda makes me think he did it on purpose lmao it's like a perfect nut shot on that camera guy
michael jordan played baseball professionally LOL
"Over the backstop. Halfway to the plate. Into the back of the umpire's head. Who knows where your throw will land?"
(It hit me in the groin!)
Best first pitch is George W Bush at the 2001 WS.
That's a different video most likely.
I literally couldn't watch anymore after Miss Texas. I paused it, laughed super loud, and then ... went to another room of the house.
‘Just a BIT outside.’ 😂
For multiple pitches.
I don’t really care about those politicians, music stars or miss whatevers, but if you are a professional ball sport athlete and you pitch like that, it is downright embarrassing.
Now we know how hard it is for baseball fans to throw a baseball 😮
Thank you MLB we've all been waiting for this for a long time
2:40 oh my..
I can dig Carly Rae Jepsen in those shorts. 😜
Sad part about Jordan’s pitch is he did play baseball. He wasn’t a pitcher but did play outfield so you expect a better throw than that.
Was waiting for Gary dellabate baba booey 😂
2:41 DAMN that must've hurt
Ba Ba Booey’s first pitch is an all time classic
Only way Carl Lewis’ could have been better is if he sang the national anthem after it.
That second Ms Texas strikes me a fun gal.
2:40 - He got two balls with one pitch.
3 balls 1 strike
2:38 That cameraman just lost part of his manhood.
Where’s Fauci?
Do these people not come prepared? Unbelievable. It is not hard to throw a baseball from the pitcher’s mound to home plate. Just embarrassing.
Nose si es porque soy dominicano pero creo que lo hacen a propósito 🙆🙆🙆 nadie puede lanzar tan mal 🙆🙆🙆🙆
No maní bastante gente tienen lanzamiento terrible.
There is absolutely no upside & a whole lot of down side accepting the request to throw the first pitch
You guys forgot Tiffany hwang lmao her first pitch was epic though
Juuust a bit outside.

You know that pitch still haunts Michael Jordan to this day, given his personality and history with baseball and his dad.
If I knew I was throwing a first pitch, I'd practice a bit before hand.
2:26 Let s go rangers

2:26 damn, who's Ms. Texas?
Alright Jordan, fire it in there. "Well ok, if you insist".
"Fifddy Sense, Curtis Jackson"
Just a bit outside 💀
Oh come on MLB not having Dr. Fauci's terrible first pitch in here is a crime
You wouldn't believe mj was in the mlb the way his pitch went
I can not understand why this keeps happening. All these "celebrities " are well aware of others' mishaps while first pitch debacle. However, they keep on doing it.

For starters, someone should demonstrate the proper way to grip the ball. They would also be better off eschewing the windup.

I like this. If the pitch turns out to be in the zone, the guy swinging the bat can just line it right back up the middle. Think fast, Miss Texas!
Stephen A should never be allowed to comment on an athletic event ever again.
