Nord-Lock vs Nylon Insert Nut - The Challenge

- In this series, we challenge the Nord-Lock wedge-locking washers against other bolt locking solutions. We use the Junker Vibration Test (DIN 65151) which is considered to be the most severe vibration test for bolted connections.
In this video, we tested the Nylon Insert Nut (Nut with Polyamide insert) and compared with Nord-Lock wedge-locking washers, both performing under the same conditions.

Thanks, useful for CPG
Acknowledge the benefits although no left hand thread model?
Interesting but what happens when load is on/off? Say on a shock absorber. In this scenario the nyloc would stay located under vibration but the nut with washer would vibrate loose.
The way a bolted joint usually works is that the clamp load generated by the bolt should always be higher that the working load that effect the joint. This means that the bolted joint does never loose all of the preload because if that happens then the joint will open and the bolt will have to take all of the dynamic loads. Then the risk of fatigue failure of the bolt is very high. A bolt is very strong regarding static load but not very strong regarding dynamic load.
"the good news is you will not lose the nut!" Hahahha that was a great joke :)
Typical propaganda style advertising with no control test... Haha
