Because of the pandemic, I can't get the replacement. So I will try to fix the laser. I measured the resistance of the connector and I got 0.6 Ohms. So if I put a lower resistance cable, there will be a greater potential drop, so it should shine. Could this work?
What's the name of the cable that you took in the minute 2:21?
Help me pls
Errrr...Laser ribbon cable... I guess!
@@UberMicroRepairs thank you, soooo much
@@gustavo-gj6vd LOL.. No problem.
Why clean the laser when it's brand new out the box ? Great video by the way 👍👍
Just incase I have touched it or dust has attrecked to it.
you need to go faster than that and no need for the install, etc. sounds cuz it takes away from the non-verbal instruction.
You're correct. this was an early video. I'm uploading more and getting to grips with editing. Not confident enough to talk yet.
What type of grease do you use to grease the laser travel rails? What about a manufacturer please.
It is just standard lithium geese. you can pick it up from amazon, eBay or hardware stores. Comes in yellow or white.
@@UberMicroRepairs thank you.
Just wondering if you still offer this service? its happened to my PS3 slim (knackered blu-ray laser drive)
