  • Tested out several presets of KORG NTS-3 kaoss pad. I think it would go very well with my trumpet.
    Occasionally Hologram Electronics Microcosm was also used.

    I guess I'm hearing they improved the audio quality quite a lot. I have the old mini-KP and it's unusable in this regard. Will consider !

      Yes, a friend of mine who has an older version said the same thing. This new KP is small but very powerful. It's worth considering.l!

    I understand the use of midi to control something with a touch pad or control its parameters via midi.
    I'm missing the use of analog sync...

      Actually, in this video, the device controls its built-in effects and does not use MIDI. It also supports your favorite analog sync.

    Did you have any issues with levels and/or clipping? Also were you running pedals before/after?

      No, so far I haven't had any problems. You can adjust the NTS-3's input gain in the range of -85 dB to +9 dB, so I don't think there's any need to worry about clipping. In this video, the NTS-3 is placed at the end of the effects chain.
