Thanks for all the likes and support on the horror games lately! Means the world to me fam. Also just a heads up there are no jump scares in this video. With that being said this game made me feel a lot of anxiety for some reason which made me get sick during it. Jump scare games don't really bother me that much but this really got me because it's endless dread. Never had this happen before so I guess I have a fear of liminal spaces now.
I know, but this game and liminal spaces in real life are terrifying. He handled it like a champ. Some of his rage quit videos from bitd are totally what I’d have done. He’d have been justified in noping out.
What's funny is I instinctively yelled "alley-oop" when he jumped off that diving board on the first level--which is almost certainly a byproduct of watching brad on/off for 10+ years and hearing that very phrase
Fun fact to those who DONT know. The pool rooms are one of the levels that is commonly connected to the back-rooms in games. It’s a rabbit hole of levels with different environments, and some are safe when others do have entities/creatures😅
Hey Brad, i just wanted to share i’ve been watching you TLOU 1 play through and watching the time capsules for your daughter are so beautiful! i lost my father a couple years back at 15, and the interactions with your daughter made me tear up. love your videos!!

The fear of deep water is called thalassophobia, and that underground abandoned mall is in Florida. Place gives me Toluca Mall vibes. Man, I just wanna go down there and blast the Silent Hill 4 OST over the PA/sound system. If it even still works, that is.
I’m OBSESSED with liminal spaces, they bring me such comfort. I had complete opposite vibes I’d love to explore this place in a dream or irl. I love that Brad was so freaked but kept playing lol.
Don’t worry Brad, that duck surprised me too. And omg I hate whispering, I started moving my body to the left when you kept going down the stairs. 32:10 i had the same reaction here
You’re thinking of aerated water, Brad. It has air constantly pumped into it (most often for water treatment). The air lowers the density of water below that of the human body, unlike normal water. Instead of floating, you sink.
This is absolutely my favourite kind of thing. It takes so much more intelligence to build a game like this then to build a traditional horror game. This game does not supply the terror; instead it creates an environment in which your minds own can bloom.

The whispers in the dark abyss at 17:15 just shivered my timbers. Yeah, I'd never play this. Literally turned my stomach. I see how the title of this video isn't hyperbole...AND I'M NOT EVEN THE ONE PLAYING!! 😱😱
At 6:29 my tablet screen went complete black probably due to super amoled screen only focusing on the path forward as brad plays. I kid you not I was having all kinds of feelings at that moment. That too watching this at 3 am right now. Indeed what a great time to watch this.

To me, this game is what would happened if we got transported into M. C. Escher's mind. I find the game aesthetics to be very similar to his art, especially his "Relativity" and "Waterfall" paintings. I can't help but see some of Escher favorite thematics (upside down walls, doors and ladders, water, etc.) in this game.
Dudeeeee you made my day, I started watching this on a different channel- and though “damn I wish rad Brad played this and more horror games” and you delivered! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
A physiological Thriller, “What are you afraid of….?”. You kept mentioning that you felt that you were being followed and something or someone was going to get you. I just admired the view and the unneeded fear that you had for the entire game; it was fun!
Brad. I watched this yesterday and still havent been able to get it out of my head. Even made a Facebook post about it and linked your video. I am absolutely shook. Thank you 😂
Thanks for keeping it real about your anxiety while playing this. Not a lot of folks would publicly admit to how seriously it can affect you mentally and physically, and I think it's really positive to show others it's okay to talk about and a normal part of being human. (Even if we probably shouldn't insist on doing things past the point that they make us physically ill. 😅)
I've been subbed to Brad for years and used to watch religiously. Haven't in a while (yay adulting), but this gave me real nostalgia trips back to Condemned and Cry of Fear. Made me all warm and fuzzy.
It does have an eerie feeling watching Brad. The anticipation of whats around he corner? Is there something in the water? Changing of lighting....possible jump scare to pull my soul out of my body. Yeh it gives off an uneasy feeling. lol With that said I really enjoy your videos bud.
I love these games. I've played tons of them, good and bad. This is one of the best. I like both "pools" and "backrooms" but the pools in particular feel like a deep memory that I can't quite recall but makes me feel like I've actually been there before irl.

Than , realize it was the game sounding like pots and pans falling . But thank you again Brad for posting a another special horror game for us. This will probably give me nightmares. 😮😊
I'm glad Brad gets through the horror games, so i don't have too 😭. Been watching for 11 years and i hope you reach 11 more. Thanks for the memories Brad 🫡♥️
This is the first game I have ever paid for. Found it by accident a couple weeks back and I am in love. I’m not a gaming person, like the last time I played a game was on the Wii or Nintendo in like 2008. Had to get used to using the computer controls but I do not regret it. This game is an experience
I've been subbed for almost a decade now (kind of surreal to say). The first video of yours I watched was the first Dying Light, and on my runs I would jump over fences pretending I was the character in the game lol
I just realized why something seemed so familiar about the location. Thinking back, it really reminds me of those weird baptism areas in certain churches. I was baptized at church in the late 90s and I remember the pool giving me the same weird feeling, plus the off-putting florescent lighting, tile, and water where it feels like it shouldn't be...
These just have that feeling of something or someone ominous watching. There usually isn’t but you can’t shake that feeling that you aren’t alone. Old Halo CE multiplayer maps have the same feeling going on.

49:38 I like swimming and was pretty good as a kid. Don't mind water until this story. I mean... low density water isn't something I considered before. Jeezus lol
Yeah, this game is one of the best definition of Psychology Horror with its eerie atmosphere throughout the entire game. I will say the motion of the view when walking and even looking around is amazingly smooth, and I'd love to see more games try to get to this level. Closer to how your eyes see things than the jerkiness of a mouse.
That dream like aspect… That’s precisely the vibe they’re going for. In fact, I have my own personal category for games like this: I don’t call them “horror” because “horror” has so many connotations associated with it. I called these “oneiric”- Which simply means “dream like”.
I was born in Manchester, England. I lived there for the first seven years of my life. My favourite euphemism for the porcelain throne is “the bog“. I’ve tried my damnedest to retain as much of my Englishness as possible over the years. Even taken multiple months-long trips back, with the primary intention of simply gaining back a bit of my accent And catching up on the latest in slang. but, yeah: I tend to either call it “the bog” or “the dunny “, depending upon the company I’m in.
Because of Subnautica, I am afraid of the ocean lol I went snorkeling in Hawaii a few summers ago, as soon as I got far enough from the beach and I couldn’t see the sand at the bottom anymore, I had a mini panic attack and noped back toward the shore 😂 Those dark endless pools reminded me of that haha…
Steam rooms are great. I have adult onset muscular dystrophy, and when it was in its early stages I used to go to my local YMCA which had a steam room, a sauna, a hot tub, and a swimming pool. There was nothing better for my muscles than working out in the pool, then coming into the steam room and massaging all the knots out there was a hose in the steam room so you could get your hot and cold at the same time, which is just brilliant for knotted muscles. Almost as good as a proper massage. After getting all loosened up again then I would dive back into the cold water and all my muscles would tighten again but they would tighten around my considerably-straightened spine. Hi advocate hard for aquatic therapy - including steam rooms and massaging hot tubs. They probably stuck an extra couple of years onto my functional life. Keep me going forever, but anything is better than just letting yourself fall apart.

One thing about horror games is that " you're Scared if there is somthing and you're scared if their is Nothing"
Who else would actually love to be in this place right now?
