Pools is a horror game developed and published by Tensori for PC with PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X/S releasing at a later date. Pools is a liminal spaces psychological horror game inspired by backrooms. - Игры
Thanks for all the likes and support on the horror games lately! Means the world to me fam. Also just a heads up there are no jump scares in this video. With that being said this game made me feel a lot of anxiety for some reason which made me get sick during it. Jump scare games don't really bother me that much but this really got me because it's endless dread. Never had this happen before so I guess I have a fear of liminal spaces now.
Nice.
I'm here!
Hell, yeah, you’re playing pools ❤❤ oh yeah brother
❤❤
Heck yes Brad!
The real question is, can you pee in the pools?
You will swim there
A pool that can’t be peed in, is not a pool.
Oh yes, you can 28:41
Can you spit??
Some pools if u pee in them the water goes blue around u let's everyone no its came from u no lie its true
17:10 my heart dropped once i heard the whispers this game is actyually scary
The chlorine bill must be ridiculous.
Or it must really smell 'swampy'
It's on contract
Not the chlorine, the ventilation system 😅
Just think about being the dude who tiled the whole thing…
@jimmysahlin9780 Some say he's still there caulking joints
Brad, I'm 51 but try to stay young the best of my ability. You are the best gamer channel out there. Thank you man for being so real.
51 is the new 25 and Brad is the bees knees. He’s the best antidepressant I know of. Not sure what my Hdl and ldl are looking like, but he’s good for the blood pressure.
First time I didn’t hear Brad say, “Alley-oop” when making his first high jump. 😨
😂
first time i didnt hear him say f*** that chair
Monster
What's funny is I instinctively yelled "alley-oop" when he jumped off that diving board on the first level--which is almost certainly a byproduct of watching brad on/off for 10+ years and hearing that very phrase
Fun fact to those who DONT know. The pool rooms are one of the levels to the back rooms so it’s connected to the original back rooms. It’s a rabbit hole of levels with different environments, and some are safe when others do have entities/creatures😅
I thought they said there were no entities!
@@hjsimpson The entities are ducks
😂😂😂 @@the_expidition427
@@the_expidition427and moving statues
There is one entity besides the mannequin… there’s an achievement for catching sight of him
35:01 the "I'm scared" made me feel so sorry for him
:)
I know, but this game and liminal spaces in real life are terrifying. He handled it like a champ. Some of his rage quit videos from bitd are totally what I’d have done. He’d have been justified in noping out.
I love how Brad froze when the ladder disappeared!😂😂😂
Don’t worry Brad, that duck surprised me too. And omg I hate whispering, I started moving my body to the left when you kept going down the stairs.
32:10 i had the same reaction here
Faxx
Hey Brad, i just wanted to share i’ve been watching you TLOU 1 play through and watching the time capsules for your daughter are so beautiful! i lost my father a couple years back at 15, and the interactions with your daughter made me tear up. love your videos!!
9:33 the way the duck follows him….
I was coming here to say that, see if anyone else caught it
You’re thinking of aerated water, Brad. It has air constantly pumped into it (most often for water treatment). The air lowers the density of water below that of the human body, unlike normal water. Instead of floating, you sink.
I’m OBSESSED with liminal spaces, they bring me such comfort. I had complete opposite vibes I’d love to explore this place in a dream or irl. I love that Brad was so freaked but kept playing lol.
Brad's gonna throw some chairs tonight
This is absolutely my favourite kind of thing. It takes so much more intelligence to build a game like this then to build a traditional horror game. This game does not supply the terror; instead it creates an environment in which your minds own can bloom.
It’s just walking around. Boredom, yes. Terror, no.
@@thespectralights2072 suit yourself; different folks are scared by different stuff. I find that those of us with active imaginations are much more terrified by things like this than they are by cheap jump scares and cliched spooks.
Edited for spelling.
@@riphopfer5816 I agree with you but the game still needs some more elements to make that environment truly creepy for me. Depending on this environment alone isn’t effective IMO. There are 0 stakes in the game
I wouldn’t really say it takes more intelligence…Just say you like it without having to insult every other dev making games
The fear of deep water is called thalassophobia, and that underground abandoned mall is in Florida. Place gives me Toluca Mall vibes. Man, I just wanna go down there and blast the Silent Hill 4 OST over the PA/sound system. If it even still works, that is.
Brad
WELCOME TO THE BACKROOMS
Where physics and time don't exist
“Why are the ceilings that high?”
Umm. For the acoustics? Duh. 🤣🤣
It's 2 AM.. and I am still going to watch the whole thing ❤
its 1:30 AM here - I am going to watch the whole thing with you as well :D
Its 3:07 in my country. I am going to watch the whole thing too!!
Edit: Regret
Its 12.22 here, so in american time its 12.22 AM i think. And im going to watch the whole thing too:). Sry about my spelling if it isnt correct. Ps. Love u brad, love ur content. keep up the good work!:)
5am gang
you're a real one
Dudeeeee you made my day, I started watching this on a different channel- and though “damn I wish rad Brad played this and more horror games” and you delivered! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The way he didn't notice the duck staring at him at the beginning
At 6:29 my tablet screen went complete black probably due to super amoled screen only focusing on the path forward as brad plays.
I kid you not I was having all kinds of feelings at that moment. That too watching this at 3 am right now. Indeed what a great time to watch this.
The whispers in the dark abyss at 17:15 just shivered my timbers. Yeah, I'd never play this. Literally turned my stomach. I see how the title of this video isn't hyperbole...AND I'M NOT EVEN THE ONE PLAYING!! 😱😱
"There's just chairs here. And im horrified" 😂
"There's just chairs here ... and I'm horrified"
lol
My dad showed me your channel a long time ago I'm talking like 5 years ago and I'm loving every single upload you make.
Hey Brad. I love your videos! I’ve been watching your videos for 3 years. And your videos always make my day better and more enjoyable.
You can sit in the chairs. When you do, all the noises intensify just like when you stop walking in real life. Your heartbeat slows down you don’t hear your own breathing as much and your awareness of your environment shoots through the roof. That’s the best thing about this game in my opinion. That’s sheer genius.
To me, this game is what would happened if we got transported into M. C. Escher's mind. I find the game aesthetics to be very similar to his art, especially his "Relativity" and "Waterfall" paintings. I can't help but see some of Escher favorite thematics (upside down walls, doors and ladders, water, etc.) in this game.
I didn't see the vid, so I don't know if Brad went that far, but you can effectively find MC Escher stairs in the game.
I ain't going to any near to a place like this.. I can see myself getting lost and discover what i shouldn't..
That shimmery movement effect is *chefs kiss*. that really helps create the illusion that there’s something moving in the corner of your eye, or some distant object looks… Unnatural.
I can’t be the only one that finds every room oddly comforting?
me too man, i had like this weird passion as a kid i always used to swim in places or water pits, it gave me some kind of feeling idk what it is
💀💀💀
I've been subbed to Brad for years and used to watch religiously. Haven't in a while (yay adulting), but this gave me real nostalgia trips back to Condemned and Cry of Fear. Made me all warm and fuzzy.
Hay brad love the video ❤ and got one question for you and it is will you ever do multiplayer videos
its 2:30am and i'm watching him walk through the pools 😅
Love to see you playing Horror games Brad, I see you for 5 years and you are the best ❤Keep up the good work legend and you are my favorite yotuber!
Every other game:
Brad:" I like exploring in games. you can find ammo or something useful. You need take your time for exploring."
This game:
Brad: you know what, I want close this game as soon as possible.
Also just want to put it out there that I love you content sir. You are amazing.
Awesome gameplays Brad
Keep it up
A physiological Thriller, “What are you afraid of….?”. You kept mentioning that you felt that you were being followed and something or someone was going to get you. I just admired the view and the unneeded fear that you had for the entire game; it was fun!
That alot of tiles. Imagine being a tiler
You know Brad is a real one when he says several times he’s violently unwell but still completes the game so we don’t have to 😭👏
Been my best go to gamer when I need to chill for 7 years now. Thanks for all the fun content, fam.
I just finished this game yesterday it took me three hours . Only level I was stuck on was with all the stairs and the fake doors . Great game and 10 bucks on steam . Great channel and another great video
It's 11PM... and I'm still watching your video Brad ❤ I love you Brad! 🔥
Same lol
2 mins in…. “Yeah, I’m not going in there…” just killed me! 😂
Been subscribed since Downpour. Seems like yesterday that i watched you play Cry of Fear. Its been so fun watching you play indie horror games again. Thanks, Brad!
In which game he cried
@@fayazcharms lol it is a game called Cry of Fear. nobody crying
Thanks for keeping it real about your anxiety while playing this. Not a lot of folks would publicly admit to how seriously it can affect you mentally and physically, and I think it's really positive to show others it's okay to talk about and a normal part of being human. (Even if we probably shouldn't insist on doing things past the point that they make us physically ill. 😅)
Staying up to watch Brad man❤️😌
Hope you and your family are doing well. I appreciate the vids.
Brad you are beast and a trooper getting though this. I've been watching your content since the original dead space trilogy. After you played this game, you definitely deserve to play a chill game next
I'm glad Brad gets through the horror games, so i don't have too 😭. Been watching for 11 years and i hope you reach 11 more. Thanks for the memories Brad 🫡♥️
I just had my friend send me reel about this game and now I am seeing you play It!! What a Timing Brad 💥💥❤
Even though I'm watching you play I also felt really off like ill. Man even though you didn't like it thanks for playing and sharing. Also I literally only watch your horror gameplays so thank you for all the horror games this year so far! Have you heard of the horror game "Try to Fall Asleep"? I highly recommend if you haven't had enough horror games. I've only seen a bit of the gameplay but would totally love to watch you play it. Take it easy Brad!
36:06 Brad idc what anyone says, you just created the horror comedy genre lmao
as someone with a fear of heights that diving board part at the start of the game gave me a form of anxiety that is indescribable
I love watching you play horror games!
Brad thank you so much for the video.. was feeling so depressed.. Your videos always help in cheeering my mood.. Your gameplays are best in the world.. Hope clementine is alright.. Thanks a lot again
Oh geez. The whispering sounds like this time I had sleep paralysis and heard fast whispering in the room where I was trying to nap. It was scary as heck and that definitely unlocked an unpleasant memory. Nope nope nope!!! 😣😣😣
😂 First I want to say right at the start of this game, after Brad had stopped talking, I thought Brad was shifting shit around loudly trying to get comfortably settled, before he started this game. Than , realize it was the game sounding like pots and pans falling . But thank you again Brad for posting a another special horror game for us. This will probably give me nightmares. 😮😊
Ya man,it’s terrifying and it gives you that really loneliness feeling too man I hate that feeling lonely keep the vids up man and take it easy
That "random ring on the wall" at 22:17 is where a rescue ring float used to hang...
I feel sick just thinking about the implications of there having been a rescue ring before and now there isn't...
I just played through the game this evening, and I really enjoyed it despite my fear and loathing of horror games. I didn't find it disturbing in the least. It was intriguing, especially in the later parts where the environment changes. Yeah, really original game.
9:17 so hard to watch
I've been subbed for almost a decade now (kind of surreal to say). The first video of yours I watched was the first Dying Light, and on my runs I would jump over fences pretending I was the character in the game lol
4:34 that time I was freaked out.....My heart was actually racing while watching this
@theRadBrad since I quit smoking weed this is how most of my dreams are now
Can you imagine having to clean all those tiles and keep them that glossy and shiny?😩
This kinda reminds me of something you'd see in the Control/Alan Wake universe. Control had some trippy af areas in that game 😬😬
I feel the full dread watching you to play this also, water freaks me out!
9:42 bro didnt even notice the duck watching em
When I saw the map on the wall, I expected Brad to want to take picture of it 🤣
which mouse do you use for your gaming
Well, that was trippy. All I could think of was the poor cleaning lady scrubbing all that tile grout with a toothbrush, lol
Watching your videos/walkthroughs since i was 10… I’m 20 now and I’ve always wondered what is your profile picture. It’s definitely iconic atp but i still dunno where it’s from. Hope you keep up the quality work uncle and i hope you and your family is doing alright old man :)
Isn't it from DeadSpace?
I’ve watched this gameplay many times but I’m going to watch it again because its brad !!❤️
Fun fact about this game. The ducks follow your movement. They turn and look in the direction that you are standing
I've been really enjoying these horror games, keep it up Brad!
Pools? What a name. If you was feeling sick then we were all feeling sick too. I could've not had lasted walking in all that water. But great video.
Thank you for playing 🙏
That empty void that you walked across was a glass floor.
Bro my heart was racing with you wasn’t boring for one sec killer video brother
Thank you so much for toughing it out for us!!! 😁 it still gets a bit spooky just watching, so I can only imagine when you're actually playing yourself 🫣😂
I just realized why something seemed so familiar about the location. Thinking back, it really reminds me of those weird baptism areas in certain churches. I was baptized at church in the late 90s and I remember the pool giving me the same weird feeling, plus the off-putting florescent lighting, tile, and water where it feels like it shouldn't be...
You are by far the best RUclipsr ever. Keep up the awesome work Brad.
35:13 There are footsteps while you're lying on the floor.
I don’t know how to swim, and my second biggest fear is drowning (so much so that I hyper fixate on the thought to the point where I start to lose my breath). It’s kept me up at night in the past, but I’ve learned to manage that fear as what I’m experiencing in those moments isn’t real. Also I’ve been claustrophobic ever since I was young, but became less afraid because I used to go into small places when I was younger (under beds, closets, etc. I still fear tight spaces and tend to hyperventilate if I think about them for too long. And lastly, freaking mannequins. I don’t know how to describe it, but I have a 6th sense around those things. So this game definitely gave me anxiety and a feeling of dread. I felt like I had to vomit. They’ve done a good job of creeping me the heck out.
This reminds me of the original Marathon trilogy from the early ‘90s, but without the puzzle-doors and aliens beaming in across the hall.
That tiling job was at least a 2 man crew.
My favorite part “why is this even hear” you can just hear the confusion so clearly aha
Who else would actually love to be in this place right now?
These just have that feeling of something or someone ominous watching. There usually isn’t but you can’t shake that feeling that you aren’t alone. Old Halo CE multiplayer maps have the same feeling going on.
44:21 i think that was reference for movie called a house that jack build
something like this mixed with control would be awesome, love you and your videos, like always.
Why am I watching this at midnight....
One thing about horror games is that " you're Scared if there is somthing and you're scared if their is Nothing"
I never thought @theRadBrad would make me feel so brave!
Woah, that’s so crazy. I’ve never had a game that provoked a PHYSICAL response like that. I’m excited to see if I get as anxious as you now haha (the words of an absolute sadist)
‘This is like the devil made it.’ That made me laugh.
The Lamb , when You dropped Your mic ...I thought it was part of the Game 🧠🤯👀
