This video was absolutely excellent! Even someone like me who knows almost nothing about this game followed you and understood what you were saying. Very digestible and phenomenal analysis skills! Straight fire brother great video ^ ^
This whole video coulda just been a black screen that read ‘f.S and j2k’ But on the real you made a dope video, I dont play the character but I love watching behind the scenes like these you did real well 💯
I think he is still good! J2k is still viable I think they just made it fair and 2S became a really good neutral tool with its extended range and dash momentum. I think the defs just don’t want chipp players to be able to skip neutral in strive
Idk if it's good or bad news that I know and do everything in this video but am still in floor 5 I think I gotta work on my combos and blockstrings or something
At that floor It would help a lot to focus on getting better at recognizing and exploiting you opponents bad habits. A lot of people will let you command grab them 3 times in a row not knowing what to do.
This my first fighting game and trying chipp. So helps a lot to see these breakdowns. Great stuff man. Currently I’m sitting at 5F. Feel neutral is the first thing I need to learn. Coz I get countered all day.
Nago 214 is plus, if there's a gap it's because the player is missing the timing for their inputs. Only option chipp should have is dp outside of that good video chief
Appreciate the guide man, I learned a lot about a part of the game I am pretty shit at. Having no fighting game experience other than Smash (lol), GGS is my first and I get bodied hardcore by my friends who have been playing fighting games for well over 2 decades. Will give this stuff a shot later.
@@StrawHatCentral there’s a way for you to do chipps wall run combo off the command grab. I can’t do it consistently but it’s definitely an option you want to consider
@@KingJinzo2125 I gotcha I actually included that in my wall running 101 guide. It goes in depth about all the applications of wall running let me know what you think
@@StrawHatCentral you know, now that I think about it I think I did get it from that video😂 my fault fam but that wall run guide really helped me out. I would get hits with chipp, but they were mainly stray hits that I couldn’t capitalize on, so not only did it increase my combo potential and damage, it also gave me a free mixup with his command grab. Looking forward to more of your content bro
I came into this expecting another 10+ minute video of some dude rambling in training about very nuanced interactions that would never happen, but was pleasantly surprised to see you put more thought into the presentation of the video. Information you say is supported by video examples and pauses, and your dialogue follows the actual video flow to keep them synergized. This is some quality content. Keep it up, homie.
This analysis is FANTASTIC. I definitely want to learn Chipp better and getting in the head of a player more experience and hearing their though process is great. IDK if its built into replays but if you could see the other player's inputs recorded into it man that would make this even better.
6P is good. I sprinkle in 6HS in stagger pressure on the corner. Something like 2k 6HS will punish mash attempts (outside dp/super) really hard. Get them to stand still and then get ez tick grab attempts. Also found 2HS is underrated button. Risky cuz of slow recovery but it is a surprisingly good anti-air. Chipo has the neutral tools to hang. Just that he gets wasted in like 2 touches lmao.
Ay man, great video! As someone who is new to GG and fighting games in general, hearing about your decision making is so helpful. Subbed!
Absolutely. I was gonna comment just that
This was ART playa. Keep em coming this was right to the point like chipp😤👊🏼👊🏼
Thanks my boi! I have a zato matchup analysis coming out soon. We can’t let these Zato players run around online for free

@@StrawHatCentral Yeah I definitely am good at making my opponent hold 3 command grabs
If you’re stuck that low you need to focus on absolute basics, anti air footsies and really simple pressure
Nice

Try Red RCing after command grab when you have extra meter with Chipp, can get some good confirms when ppl are low like in the first Nago clip
For sure! I was just so caught up in the moment trying to make the read that I didn’t realize I had the meter

do you feel like you get caught a lot by your backdashes? I feel like I get caught alot during my backdashes tryign to rethink some plans
