Which song do you want playing when you ride this?
Shining Star - Earth Wind and Fire
Disco Inferno 🔥🔥🔥
I Ran, such a good song
Edit: I got “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” twice and “One Way Or Another” once
During the preview night (I saw on another vlog) one of the songs they played outside was "Fire" from the Ohio Players. I was hoping that was one of the choices here! But of the ones we have, I think I like "September" best - the one you got 🙂
September hands down
Love the "recording of any type is strictly prohibited" moment at 11:48 followed immediately by everyone recording the rest of the ride
I haven't ridden it yet but lol
"First there was cake, and now there is toast. This plan is making me hungry." Love it! What a big change from Universe of Energy. Impressive stuff.
“Stupid Judy!”
@@UmmYeahOk “I understood that reference!”
Typical Drax
Everytime I hear "of course it is about time. Have you not been paying attention?" I laugh so hard. It's so stupid but it cracks me up
As good if not better than why is gamora. Genuinely wouldn't suprise me if I was told Dave Bautista improvised that line.
FINALLY! A fly through with “September!”
You were behind us! Thank you for posting! We just got to watch our first ride all over again! Hahaha.
You guys really looked like you enjoyed it 😁
So impressed with how well they fit this ride to EPCOTs theme- gotta admit I was worried but they killed it
I love your profile picture! I loooove and miss Club Penguin.
@@disneyparksstarwarslover7638 Lolll thank you it was an era
How, exactly, does this fit to EPCOT's theme? I mean, I realize that the idea of sticking to a theme at WDW is something they don't care about anymore and probably never will again as long as they can make money from shoehorning IP in anywhere they can, but I'm super-curious about what your basis is for that statement.
@@ttintagel It obviously could have been significantly better, and I'm still an IP ride hater for the most part. But as far as IP rides go this was one of the less offensive to me. In my mind, EPCOT has always had the main theme of a "celebration of progress", and approached that in two ways. One was with Future World, showing how the future could look with all the real world advancements our society is making (like space travel in mission space, agriculture in living with the land, transportation in test track, etc). Importantly it's not a fantasy future, it's a very real and achievable future (space travel in mission space is based a lot more in reality than the space travel in space mountain, for example). The second approach to the theme is in world showcase, where we celebrate all the progress of the past that has lead us to the point we are at now, and how past cultures have shaped the present world. Cosmic rewind at least loosely addressed both of these points. I know the ride is obviously more sci fi than reality, but i thought the queue and the pre-shows did a good job emphasizing that the technology of the planet we're on came from a lot of research and years of scientific advancement, which is essentially future world's theme. Plus, the ride itself gets at more of the world showcase theme in celebrating the cultures of the present, by making the main conflict trying to protect a classic part of American culture, that being rock and roll. Its still definitely a stretch and thematically EPCOT has seen way better attractions, but it could have very easily been a cashgrab with no relevance to EPCOT whatsoever. It's definitely still a cashgrab, and rides like Flight of Passage prove that being IP based is no excuse to be off theme, but at least SOME effort was made to give it the same overarching message as the rest of the park. To be fair though I've also only been on Cosmic Rewind once like half a year ago, so maybe I haven't been on it enough to know what I'm talking about, or don't remember it right. But that was my general takeaway.
At the end of the ride, Quill says "Every Person Comes Out Tired" (EPCOT) :)
😂😂😂😂😂
not anymore - they took it out
Ive been waiting for the POV with September playing!! This is my hope that when I ride this it will be that song!! Just seems so fun!!

Thank you a lot. Couldn't hear it all in any POV and during the ride itself.
@@WastelandH Ty there’s some errors in my script tho but they are very little
Wow. I'm actually very impressed. This is a very solid ride. I was skeptical of its theme & location in Epcot but it really worked for me. :)
Just had the opportunity to ride it! Story and pacing wise it is a complete mess, but its beautiful organized chaos and I absolutely love it. It's such a fun ride!
And there’s the Guardians for you, beautiful, chaotic mess. 🤣
The music, as always with the Guardians, is amazing
Nobody would ride Space Mountain after this cause this is what Space Mountain should look like. Much more immersive and really looks like you're in space with all the set pieces and projections.
yep, it’s needed for a re-do, hopefully the Tokyo one in 2027 does it right
No, do not ruin WDW Space Mountain.
No, WDW is the original Space Mountain and historic. It needs to do nothing. And saying they could do a project better 50 years later while heavily borrowing from the original concept itself is a bit frustrating.
@@Clay3613 Agreed. Only thing it needs is a paint job from time to time, fix the audio as tech gets better, maybe re-lay coaster track as-needed, but thats it. Upkeep, no upgrades.
I don’t think that’s true. It’s a classic ride everyone will still go on it.
Tom, WDWNT always has the best videos and coverage. I've watched other previews from different RUclipsrs where they do nothing but yap away, have bad footage and are just annoying.
WDWNT is the best. Thank You very much.
Whee!! You got "September!" Love that song! 😄Looks like so much fun!! Thank you!
I was not expecting celestials to be involved! This makes me even more excited, and clearly whatever that scene at the end of externals was is even bigger than we thought! Also, terry crews!
@WDW News Today 18:26 Drax says "is that the Ding Dang?" And Star Lord corrects "The Big Bang"
Wow, the queue and pre-show area are truly beautiful, and have a very "Old EPCOT" feel. And the ride experience looks like it would be fun even for those like me who aren't into the movies. The only concern is the number of bright, flashing lights. The first one would probably blind me and make me miss the rest of the show.
11:12 “Epcoters…Epcotians…citizens of Epcot!”
Rode it yesterday!! AMAZING!! The song was Blondie "One Way or Another". It was about how I expected it to be except I didn't think it would spin like that...my stomach was like UHHHH WhaaaaT?? It was super fun though.
Excellent ride video.... Thanks, Tom!
Great job, Tom. It looks like a lot of FUN! Thanks for bringing us along…
You bet!
@@WDWNT you Got the Song September! awesome.
Rode it today, it was great. I understand the story better now watching it back again.
THANKS for the great walk thru the queue!
Thats gotta be one of the longest pre-shows yet..
Exactly what I was thinking for like a 2-3 minute ride? Got space mountain theme as the way it starts off and being pitch blacked. But way to long for not that much on the ride. I use to think Hollywood Tower of terror was long but this takes it
This preshow is PHENOMENAL and even better in person. It really compliments the ride.
@@Truth_CA Pandora has an insane amount of pre-show rooms. Unless they're Rise of the Resistance quality, I do think some of these could've been incorporated in the queue.

Great review, great ride. Cannot wait for October.

FINALLY! A reason to go to Epcot. This looks amazing.
I can’t wait to go to that ride I love Epcot center and I love the guardians of the galaxy.
That was cool can’t wait to ride it!
WDW News, I wish the end of the ride and the exit did'nt look so much like a Subway railway station. But apart from that it might be a good ride. Cheers, Chris Perry.
I'm pretty sure there was something originally planned on that space that got axed due to budget cuts but the rest of the ride looks great anyways
@@gissneric Yes, You are possibly right. Budget Cut's are the new "E" ticket at Disney these day's. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Definitely going to be a classic
So sad i couldnt ride it when i was there 4/4-4/14 😫 thanks for the video!! So cool!
Because it opens on may 27th this is the preview for cast members lol

COSMIC REWIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to ride
Holy cow!!! That looked REALLY FUN. And September is one of my favorite songs!!
Incredible ride. And cue
Wow looks amazing
rocket: "its about time"
drax: "of course its about time have you not been paying attention" 😭😭😭
i have drawn part of a map of disneyland florida (because the disney park in orlando is not a disneyland) and guardians of the galaxy: cosmic rewind is there, on the side of tomorrowland that connects to avengers campus (which has web slingers: a spider-man adventure, iron man experience, avengers assemble: flight force and whatever the quinjet ride in the disney california adventure avengers campus will be called, and that is only the rides since i don't talk about the restaurants and shows). tomorrowland also has the peoplemover, called the tomorrowland tour tram (lol try saying that 10 times fast) that goes around or through most of the other rides, autopia, which doesn't have a rail on the road, but it doesn't need it since the cars are in single file lines and don't drive next to each other like at disneyland, buzz lightyear's astro blasters, which is themed to the lightyear movie rather than the toy story version of buzz lightyear; disneyland florida has toy story land in its 2nd theme park so it isn't necessary, tron lightcycle run, space mountain, the disneyland version but it uses two tracks, increasing capacity even further and astro orbiter, which is on the ground instead of on the roof of the peoplemover. i only drew a part of the map since fantasyland and toontown are very big and sit on the far right of the park. tomorrowland and avengers campus are on the left of the park
Disney is getting way, way too good at the insanely impressive queues. That teleportation trick is AWESOME!
They've been taking notes from Universal...
@@ducktails1695 Hollywood studios has bathrooms more themed than most Universal queues.
SONG LIST
In Order of Best Fit For the Ride
1. Disco Inferno (Burn Baby Burn) by The Trammps 🕺 This song is from the 70s, and it's a groovy and hilarious choice for the ride which is very on brand for the Guardians franchise. The lyrics are a word play tying into the theme of the big bang, and the energy is high! This is the kind of song they would've used if this was a scene in a Guardians movie.
2. One Way or Another by Blondie 🏃♀️Fastest song on the ride!! I love that the speed of this song matches the high speed of the coaster. And the lyrics match the theme the closest because the Guardians are trying to get the get the cosmic generator back.
3. Conga by Gloria Estefan💃Okay, hear me out! This is the funniest song on the ride just because of how unexpected it is! I laughed my butt off when I heard the horn intro blare through the speakers 😂 The humor alone is very on brand for the franchise and is why this song deserves to be above the next 3.
4. September by Earth, Wind & Fire 🔥 Okay, this song is the banger of all bangers. It's super upbeat, it's a 70's staple and everyone loves it. It's on the second half of the list because the theming doesn't match all that much, but who cares when you can vibe out and sing along to every word?! 🙌
5. Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears - This song is an 80s classic and it's a vibe! There are some connections to the theming of the ride, but the energy is way too low and doesn't match the intensity of the coaster.
6. I Ran by A Flock of Seagulls - I'm sure there will be a lot of guests who appreciate hearing this song come on, but I felt that the energy and theming were not a good match for the ride.
Reply with your favorite!
I agree with you 100%. Disco Inferno matches the ride perfectly. It's the best one.
One way or another is fitting too, and the guitar riff while being launched backwards is amazing.
Conga is amazing because if you think about it, you're in a Conga yourself 😆. Also, unexpect, as you said. It's amazing.
September fits well in atmosphere and energy, but not in theme. It's my favourite though one since it's my favourite song ever thought.
The last two songs, I also agree with you. They're not fitting in my opinion!
So it’s like an upgraded space mountain
IKR it’s like space mountain but with lights on
But with the guardians of the galaxy baby
Yeah. And Jurassic World VelociCoaster is an "upgraded" Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster.
Please.
That spins w tv screens and good music. Yes
@@timothybernardi68 Come on dude. The lift hill looks straight ripped from WDW Space Mountain. Gave me the impression they are making that ride redundant. Not passing judgement on this ride at all, but they do have a point
I watch all of the POVs now just to see what song they get. 🤣💞🎶
-Aimee
I know a lot of people will say this is like Space Mountain, but it reminds me more of a ride in Opryland called Chaos.
It reminds me most of hyperspace mountain, which I don’t know if comparing this to a cheap overlay is a good or bad things.
Wait this looks so familiar 🤔......oh yeah hyperspace mountain!!!!
That end coaster ride brought me so much joy hearing everyone whooping and hollering. Thanks for the great recording.
21:21 is my favorite part
Looks awesome
i haven't been to epcot since 1998 .....
Waiting in the pre q is like waiting for my pittza,to defrost in the micro wave .. so sad
Man feel like Boston's Don't Look Back would have been a good song choice for this hahaa!
This is what California Adventure needed! Not some half assed overlay to an iconic ride. I actually would love to experience this firsthand.
Tbf, Mission Breakout is equally as amazing as this in its own right.
I’ve been on both and enjoy them for the story and the experience.
@@The1Goofer right? I unironically find Mission Breakout to be the best ride in that park, and probably my clear favorite Disney ride for the sheer adrenaline fueled fun alone. ToT is great too, and I’m glad it is still in Florida, but I wouldn’t trade Mission Breakout for anything. I’m glad Orlando got their own super fun ride!
awesome!
From Universe of Energy to Space Mountain 2.0 LOL
EVERY PERSON COMES OUT TIRED!
May have to take a Dramamine before I get on ride next time I'm at Epcot since I don't see myself going before this opens.

There are 6 songs total that you get randomly.
I never went on universe of energy, but I have a feeling what i had experienced was much better
The music is random? Awesome
I hope I will ride this one day
Can anyone tell me what the ride lines were like before fast passes in the 90s and 80s? I remember waiting in I think a 2 hour line for Big Thunder Mountain when I was 6 during Christmas 1986, but maybe that long line was just because it was Christmas.
You had just one que line, you knew how long the wait was going to be, but in Disney true fashion, you would go from one waiting room to another, to another, and in the end after a long wait, you would ride something. Picture The Haunted Mansion, that is what the old que is like. In 1999 fastpass taught all of not to wait in line, you got your paper fastpass and walked around, took pictures and returned when it was your turn. You were in the park so you kept your place in line. Not like the cell phone nightmare where people pick 3 rides and they are not even in the park to ride. Disney took a great thing and made it harder for the guest to enjoy a vacation.
Wow, the ride felt way too short considering how long the queue is!
Agreed. Maybe 2 minutes max?
they probably expect an insane line maybe
It's an indoor ride...it can only be so long lol. It's not like it can stretch out half way across the park and come back around. If you think about it, most rides are like this. You wait in line for sometimes 2hrs to ride on something that lasts maybe 2-3 minutes.
@@ducktails1695 revenge of the mummy is a short indoor coaster and because of the theme and pacing, it feels longer than it actually is
My name is craig Dennis I watch your videos very day and how is the new galaxy ride in epot i in joy all of your videos all the time 👍👍👍
Not convinced about this ride yet.
So jealous I never see myself getting to Disney these days
It would be cool if there was a secret where if you asked a cast member a certain question, they could change the song that plays to the universe of energy song

I just wish the boarding area was different it’s basically identical to web slingers
YOU GOT SEPTEMBERRRR STOPPP I WANT THAT SONG WHEN I RIDE
8:00 are those the old doors to enter the UoE ride vehicle loading area?
No, they demolished everything inside the Energy Pavilion before building Guardians
I still don't understand why this is in Epcot?
It just doesn't fit in thematically. Should be in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Theming and sightlines are out. Filling empty buildings is in. But I agree with you.
Well since old Epcot was mainly Pavilions showcasing innovations, this is kinda set up like a Nova Core “pavilion” for earth. In that sense, I think it does actually kinda fit the theme 🤷🏻♂️
What I think Disney should do for these more recent IP drops in EPCOT is instead of dedicating individual pavilions or areas to IP, they should integrate them into each existing pavilion. Each IP drop would act as an example of Disney products or pop culture and its interpretation of that area of science and technology for that pavilion and the role it has played in advancing culture’s awareness of that field. For example. EPCOT currently has a space pavilion (mission space) which acts as a truly EPCOT example of displaying and allowing others to experience the technologies and emerging ideas of space travel. In the case of Guardians of the Galaxy, this could act as an IP example for the space pavilion, displaying pop culture’s interpretation of space technology in the movie and educating the viewer about how the ideas brought about in IP could help to inspire future technologies and generations. A short preshow film could describe this and tie the IP in and then the ride could just be a Guardians of the Galaxy ride with no need for further tie-ins to EPCOT. This model would allow Disney to happily integrate IP for every Future World Pavilion while also retaining EPCOT’s ideas of technology, edutainment, the future, and inspiration for all. World of Motion could become home to test track and IP such as Star Wars and all the examples of possible new transportation technologies that could emerge in future decades from those movies. As mentioned previously, the Space Pavilion could be home to mission space and the guardians of the galaxy. They could reconstruct the queue building behind the current space pavilion and redivert the launch tunnel to the roller coaster. The Universe of Energy could be reinstated and then become home to an IP example such as Fantasia where you discuss examples of energy seen in scenes such as bald mountain. The Living Seas could reinstate the educational dark ride and then tie in IP such as 20,000 leagues or Nemo or the little mermaid and discuss the diversity and fragility of the world’s oceans. The land could be home to living with the land, soarin’, and IP like Pocahontas or Moana. The Imagination pavilion could be home to journey into imagination and IP like alice and wonderland where you could discuss the impact of Disney animation and the whimsical creativity and imagination found in the movie on the liberal arts. Even the health pavilion could be re-instated and integrate IP like inside out where you discuss the impact of mental health and balancing emotions. Pleace feel free to let me know what you think about this idea. I really think it would benefit the Disney visitor and Disney in regards to EPCOT and IP.
Which is better for this ride front, middle, or back car?

That was funny that Michael Kay was filming his reaction at the end when you got off the ride.
Michael Kay is my favorite Disney character.
Was that Glenn Close in the pre-show?
17:24 is when the ride starts
Queue and preshow were cool. We couldn't make out much of the actual ride. How was it?
I just got off it from passholder previews. The queue took us 15 minutes. The ride itself is really fun. The reverse launch is not scary at all. The ride twists and turns a lot. I would call the spinning on the ride a rotation, as it is not very nauseating. I have heard of people getting sick on it though. My mom hates rollercoasters, but she loved this ride. The screen in the scene right before the launch is terrible. You curve right in front of it, and you can see the screen curve. It gives a distorted and terrible appearance. The screens on the rest of the ride blend very well with the surrounding building. Right after the reverse launch, you get to see the inside of the massive building for the first time, and it is massive. It is incredibly smooth, and is quite long for a coaster. The wind got my mom’s hair flying throughout the ride. I would say it is more intense than Space Mountain, and less intense than Rock n Rollercoaster. The rotating is not bad, but if you are concerned about getting sick, I would take a Dramamine. Our song on the ride was I Ran (So Far Away). The song fit really well with the layout, but people have said there are better songs. The full list is: September, Conga, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, I Ran, Disco Inferno, and One Way or Another. You have no clue what song you will get when you board, and having the surprise song adds re-rideability. The screens may be a bit overwhelming on your first ride, as you are moving quickly, and they are absolutely massive. The majority of the screens are larger than the screens on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. I have heard that the ride has been encountering major technical difficulties recently. We encountered a very short stop in the first lift-hill. All of the Guardians on the small monitors switched to Terry Crews, who told us to remain seated and that the air-vent that will let us into space is not opening. Shortly after, he told us they “got it open” and we started moving again. It was most likely due to a rider that took a bit longer to board or exit the ride. Overall, the ride really is fantastic. I will warn you that the line inside is VERY short. We waited in the entire indoor line and it only took us 10 minutes. We had a bit of an extended queue at the entrance that took about 5 minutes. The ride will most likely have long lines once the virtual queue is discontinued. The extended line is right in the sun, and will not be fun. Overall, the ride was awesome!
Does the ride car rotate repeatedly, or turn and stop? I love Rock n Rollercoaster and going upside down but I can't spin. So I'm kinda concerned about this one.
@@janhenry9733 Once you launch, the ride does not stop. The rotations were very smooth and it did not feel like they happened for the thrills. It felt like they only rotated us so that we could see what was happening. I do remember doing one full rotation in a part of the coaster where there were no screens. My mom was very concerned about the rotation, and was convinced that she would hate this ride and feel nauseous, but she loved it. She did tell me about one part where she felt kind of bad. There is a part towards the end where you go around the moon. The vehicles rotate to face the moon in the center, as you are spinning around the moon. She said this was the worst part of the coaster, but it was not bad. The backwards launch is very comparable to the second launch on Slinky Dog Dash, but just backwards. The rotation was not like the teacups where it is continuous spinning for no reason. The rotations were smooth and well-timed with what was going on. I remember rotating sideways multiple times when there was a screen in front of us. The rollercoaster itself was more intense than the rotating. If you can do Gringotts at Universal (the Harry Potter ride in the bank), then you should be fine on this. The rotating felt very natural. If you are very concerned about it, I would take a Dramamine before you ride it. If you can do Rock n rollercoaster, then you can most likely do this.
@@janhenry9733 The rotating was not very intense. My mom hates rock n rollercoaster, but loves guardians
How is it so empty?! Thank u!!!
I was really excited for this ride. Normally I don’t like pre existing properties in Epcot, but Epcot definitely needed some thrill rides for the part too. Also at least we no longer have Ellen Degeneres either.
That looks exciting! But, it looks like this attraction belongs in Hollywood Studios, not EPCOT.
I cannot see that and I’m glad it’s not.. Hollywood studios has Galaxy’s Edge & Runaway railway. Epcot needed something new. We have spaceship Earth, mission Space, & the EPCOT Ball right in the center that looks space-like anyway. Especially, the Nova Corp Star-blaster ship lit up next to the lit up monorail and the lit up EPCOT Ball all together, brings the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion to life!! 🤩Even inside the queue area the technology reminds me of the Creation’s store. How everything is bright & neon lights etc.
lots for space to wait for what? looks like I wont be doing that ride -- stairs and I dont get along.
