I want to first thank you as I enjoy many of your videos. It is nice to see what I may have forgotten over my 27 year of using this software or even better something I may not have used before.
In this case I feel this video only covered half of what a user should know when setup and use datum targets. It also teaches bad modeling practices that are too easy to learn and as I find can hard to break a user from continuing to use. I know this is a quick tutorial and I may seem to be picky but one bad practice shown is creating a second set of dimension to the point sketch rather than using the sketch driving dimensions. The other would be the sketch driving dimension scheme. The sketch dimension scheme should be setup ready to show in the drawing and be driven from the displayed datum’s. This would be in reference to your choice of datum [C].
Having written all of this I want you to know I look forward to viewing move videos.

Actually, due to Model Based Definition, Flexible Modeling, Annotation Features, and downstream use of First Article Inspection & Critical Dimensions, the old conventional wisdom of "at least 95% of your dimensions should be shown dimensions and you shouldn't create dimensions" doesn't necessarily apply. I myself used to teach that and advocate that until about a decade ago. I've had several discussions with PTC product managers about this as well. Creating dimensions is no longer regarded as a bad practice. Changes in technology result in changes in recommended practices.

Thank you very much for the videos. They are all incredibly helpful!!! I have created some Datum targets in the same manner, but when I show them in the 2D drawing some of them wont show the target areas. Some will show the target diameter and some won't. Does anyone know the reason for this? I've searched the internet and to no avail......

I suggest opening a ticket with PTC Tech Support.
