While Pixar created Wall E, Finding Nemo, Up, Toy Story and The Incredibles
But only Toy story have great sequels
While in DreamWorks it felt like you grow up along with these characters and you see them have character development honestly just look at how Po, Shrek, Alex and Hiccup started in their first movie and look at them in the end of their trilogy and even their spin off like Puss in Boots have a great sendoff in the last wish.
Even one offs are masterpiece from Megamind, Prince of Egypt, Sinbad and the seven seas, Road to El Dorado and chicken run.

DreamWorks bro hands down all day long
How to train your Dragon is literally part of my life lol because of that long term storytelling
Watched the first movie when I was in middle school then the second one was in my mid teens and the last one was in college during my early adulthood bro this movie is like that friend you've been with since you were a kid that also grow up together with you, Hiccup journey from a boy to a Man and finally becoming a Father
Kung Fu Panda is another masterpiece with phenomenal villains: Tai Lung, Lord Shen and Kai and it's a great movie about the journey of life having all these difficult obstacles in you're way as it gets more difficult and every time you overcome them you also get stronger until you reached your full potential it's literally a metaphor for growing up as Po started as an amateur kung Fu genius that sells noddles to learning a lot of new experiences both good and bad and in the end becoming more mature and wise because of all the personal obstacles he face like the saying *The Student has become the Master*

I feel this way about most of Pixar’s movies but some of their most recent ones feel like their primarily just for kids.
A lot of their older movies had adults as main characters dealing with adult stuff, ratatouille literally had drinking and featured no child characters. Finding Nemo and the incredibles were movies about being parents. Soul is a newer one that also seems more adult geared.
Meanwhile movies like luca and turning red revolve around child characters and seem to have been made to appeal primarily just to kids.

Disney makes consistent but safe and predictable movies.
Pixar makes movies that play with your emotions, they just go out of their way to use all the feelings that they know.
Dreamworks is simply memorable. Their lows are still unforgettable and their highs are so high they define culture, even if they have to wait a decade to get that status. They're the ones who change the industry, the ones who create trends instead of following them. Honestly, one comment I saw perfectly sums it up, at least with Disney, during the past 20 or so years, while Disney in more consistent in making good movies with each release, dreamworks is a bit more sporadic but it’s highs are much much higher (kung fu panda, how to train your dragon, last wish, prince of Egypt)

Prince of Egypt is legit one of ,if not, the best animated movies to come out. Probably not even just animated, it's legitimately amazing film.
I feel like the reason Pixar is seen as the standard of good quality is just Dreamwork's admittedly kinda consistent HARD misses. Shark Tale, Shrek 3, Boss Baby, Trolls.

I would have to go with Dreamworks, mainly for two reasons. Reason one is that while their quality (at least to me) has more ups and downs than Pixar, their highs are much greater than Pixar's (the last wish being an obvious example). Reason two is simply because most of their movies are a part of my childhood, with some of them being the Shrek franchise, httyd, kung fu panda, Megamind, and Monsters vs Aliens. for some of my favorites (in no particular order), they would have to be httyd 2, Monsters vs Aliens, Kung Fu Panda 2, and the last wish.
