Love the idea of putting detergent in the small food containers! The canvas back seems like it has the potential to be heavy, especially if you have to take something back wet to hang dry, but they are sturdy. A folding cart with wheels might be a good option. Also, not everyone is lucky enough to have washing machines in their homes. They might have to go to the laundromat or use the facilities in the basement of their apartment buildings. One think I like about the laundromat is that, if it's not crowded, you can do several loads at once.
Hi Patric! I spoke to you at the Christmas Junk Bonanza about how to get a grease stain out of a knit shirt that had been washed and dried multiple times. Well, I did what you recommended and the stains came out!! Thank you so much for your advice!
Love your book! Question: my son gets grease and diesel fluid on his clothing at work. (Ugh) I've tried vinegar plus water as suggested in your book. Repeated for 2 washes without drying in between. Some is gone, but I need something that will work with only 2 trips through my large cap washing machine - especially his puffy winter coat. Any other suggestions to get that grease out of his tan puffer jacket?
@@patricrichardson6350 Yes. I have tried that and also bleach, vinegar, Oxi, amonia, boiling water, soaking, peroxide, Dawn, you name it. Discoloring and smells remain.

This was very helpful. Thanks for the reminders and tips. A first trip to a laundry mat in many years is coming up soon. Now I feel I’ll be ready! 😊

Hi Patrick... what do I do with a persistent cocktail sauce stain that has already been soaked and washed😟
