After using a 2006 Samsung flip phone with no camera I finally decided to upgrade this fall after I received a notice that 3G was going away next year and the family had nagged me about upgrading for years. Never have liked the large modern smart phones, saw this one in the store and no other would do. Of course my brain is a bit fried what with ALL THE STUFF it has and does. I could delete over half the apps and never miss them. But then, I'm 72 and it's a different world today.
I had flip phones too but their cameras were so mediocre you may as well say they don't have one. A lot of phones back in those days also did not have micro USB but instead needed a bizarre cable that only works with that device. If you ever lost that cable you may as well throw the phone away. They usually had some sort of connector that you would not see on anything else. Then sending a text from one can be annoying if it is long at all. You can imagine I don't miss those old flip phones. The ones I had did not run Android or anything that most people would be familiar with and there were never any apps for the Brew OS they usually came with other than only the basic apps. It seemed like everyone hated them and would not develop an app for them.
@sharoncrisostomo7859 Battery for my Z Flip 3 is a huge downside, but I just carry a charger with my just incase so it's not a huge deal since I'm used to it.
Got to agree with you on all five of your criticisms of this device. I've had my Galaxy z flip 5 now for one month, and already can see exactly what you're saying. The most disappointing being the camera. Even with a supplemental app on Google, doesn't really take care of the problem.

Why does everyone complain about the camera quality? I've been watching a lot of videos pertaining to the camera, and it looks fine. When you are comparing the camera of this Z Flip to the camera on an actual flip phone, these blow those cameras out of the water. When I think of a bad camera, I think of dumb phones and cameras back in the 1990s. None of these cameras are bad like that. I truly believe you need to lower your expectations and recognize that we have come a long way in terms of our technology. It's far from humbling to hear that the camera is "trash," when it is better than every phone I've had in my life, since I've never had a phone in this price range before. As someone who has been smartphone free, using only an actual flip phone for almost two years, these cameras are not only great, but actually usable. I suggest looking at these products with a more humble mindset, because these products are more amazing than you might think.
I always buy expensive phones. I own a Galaxy S23 and a Galaxy S22 Ultra as well. To be honest, image quality is pretty up to par with those phones. It may not be as spectacular, but pictures come out great. I mean, phone cameras nowadays tend to oversaturate the pictures anyway, and pictures and videos taken by this phone are superb. I have no complaint about it. Also, this phone lets me take a selfie with its main camera, which is awesome. Pictures come out much clearer, and the cameras doesn't soften my facial features.
I was debating between S23 and Z Flip 5. The former has better battery life, and the latter has gotten some reports of thermal throttling when pushed (multitasking with 2 windows and other stuff running). They cost roughly the same on Samsung right now for base models. But I notice trade-in value of Flip 5 can be as much as $1000, whereas for the S23, it's about $800. For someone who plans to trade-in next year, this seems like a factor to consider. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything about the trade-in advantage of the Flip 5 though.
If you have just a normal s23 then i wouldnt see a reason not to go for the flip. If you have an a23 ultra i just say stay on the ultra line. I read alot of review about the z flip and alot of the negative reviews are from peole who switch from a ultra to a z flip and then they get dispointed. Meaning most people who own an ultra will be disappointed.
My major problems was that the screen protector broke right in the middle after two months. I replaced it (twice!!). Whenever the outside temperature sank below -0 degrees Celsius the screen protector kept rising from the display as I had it opened. A really irritating problems as times. As I was on the toilet and held the phone at literary 3 decimeters from ground level I accidentally dropped it on the floor face down. That was the fatal blow that destroyed the screen. I really love the idea of a flip phone. It's small and easy to carry around. I didn't care as much about the specs. The main reason (obviously) was the flip feature. I don't think we are there just yet in that technology aspect. So I'll wait for some years, until the flip 10 is out before buying one again.
The screen went bad on my Z Flip 5 after just 3 months. The constant bending caused it to form a blacked out bar along the middle crease. Within minutes, the blacked out area spread to the entire screen. Phone was completely dead at that point.
@@hannakim9519 Screen protectors going bad would have nothing to do with the OLED display having a blacked out bar or line; it is display damage. While it is possible to be a defect in the hinge and/or its surrounding components that can cause display damage on the flip devices, it most commonly happens from liquid damage, dropping the phone, or similar physical damage to the phone.
I agree with everything highlighted and starting to hate using my Flip 5. I still love the form factor and wonder if I can ever go back to the mega form like Ultra or Pro Max. Really disappointing Samsung and to not improve the Flip 6 is basically criminal.
@@OhSo_Interesting is there an update up to this date about the screen? i am planning to purchase one :( but still unsure because of the screen issues ive have been seeing
My phone heats up, but worse, the screen was failing on the fold. It began with a line of light straight across the fold. Although I had no injury or misuse, apparently, the rubber seal at the fold was failing. Currently in a dispute with my mobile phone provider due to them pushing another color phone on me for the warranty.
I agree with all of that. Had mine for a month now and love it. My only real concern is the main flip screen, during Canadian winter, how will it stand up to the cold. Guess we'll find out
I actually just upgraded to the flip 5 after my flip 3 protective screen separated, I was due for a free upgrade. The protective screen definitely did not like the cold weather, though I had cleaned it the previous day and some moisture might have gotten under the protective film.
I was told do NOT open it in the extreme cold. The inner screen protector can crack if it gets to cold and opened up. So, We were warned. Even asfter you go inside, give it 10-15 min. if it wasnt in an inner insulated pocket.
Well it's officially stated to only open and close in ambient temperature which is 35 degrees F to 86 degrees F. Just keep it closed in the cold Temps.
My z flip 5 flew off of my belt loop at 85mph on the expressway and bounced under God knows how many Cars with the case did not have a scratch on it so as long as you have a good case you should have no problem I did have to get a new case
The camera is not trash. It takes pretty good shots, just not elite level but thats acceptable because it's not made to compete with the 15 pros and 23 ultras.
This! It's not a flagship series phone so you can't expect flagship features. I switched from the iPhone 14 pro max and tbh I don't think I'd go back although I do miss the size of the iPhone keyboard. However the flip 5 is hands down the best just with the customization options alone. Pictures are pretty decent
@@claudiaceceliaMartinez Still love this thing! I switched from years of iPhones as well to this as I was bored and got tired of the huge max slab taking up my thigh lol I could never go back now. People talk trash without even owning it. I use Gboard for the keyboard and you can resize it to whatever size you want! Enjoy it!

My Z flip 5's inner display broke within less than 3 months of usage. I did not drop it, I didn't abuse it (like keep opening and closing). But it just broke and slowly turning into a black screen. I had to survive with the exterior screen for whole 2 months (thank god I got good luck installed and have most of my apps available). But reason why I had to wait so long is because Samsung's a huge mess and took over 1 month to get my parts. Even after they have the parts, they still fail to contact me, and I also wasn't able to reach them through phone because they never pick up (was on hold for hours). In the end, I did get it repaired for free because it's still under warranty. But the experience was horrible and I can say I'm am expert at using the exterior screen now.
Im 4 months in to z flip 5 life. I would say there are only two problems with my z flip 5: 1. The camera, which isnt a problem because im not really trying to take great photos, but if i was, this isnt the phone for it. 2. While using wireless Android Auto, my phone gets really warm. Other than that, having had phones from every maker, this is probably my favorite phone ever.
Had Flip 4 and Flip 5, I'm not a high user so I'm not opening and closing every 5 seconds, a camera is a camera its fair not movie quality but its still respectable ... if you want the pro picture get a SKR camera... scratches are down to the user and not the fault of the phone...QR payment is no issue. Yes battery is under powered if you use it a lot then your need to keep charging, but a low user its fine for battery life.... my Flip 4 which is 2 years old now has to be charged daily.... ( yup it does not heat up) .... cover display is a cover display its not designed for working its identification. Its not a all singing all dancing phone... its not a pocket PC, its a phone and portable communication facility.... Would I buy again ?..... Oh yes Flip 6 is a purchase in the waiting....
I have connected my flip 5 to desktop screen via Dock Station ( HDMI ) . It worked perfectly alright. Hope you re-edit your video again and add this as a cool feature in ur upcoming videos !!! 😎
I wouldn't call these MAJOR problems. Maybe battery and camera, but they're still good enough. You can't compare them to the Ultra or Iphone. It's just not physically possible to put a bigger battery and cameras into this form factor. You have to sacrifice some things in order to have it be foldable.
Im coming from a s23+ so i honestly can say that I agree with all of your points, except the wireless scanning issue. Yes im not able to scan it from tapping thr top of my phone, but if i aim the bottom of my phone, it works flawlessly and I never have to touch any scanner and my phone scans. As far as battery goes, I usually have 30% to 40% by the end of the day, sometimes even 50%. Battery is rarely an issue for me. With my s23+ i would usually end with 50% to 60% battery, so when i have special case scenarios when i use gps for hours on end that phone would last me. When this happened with my flip 5, it would tank my battery, thats the only issue ive had. As far the keyboard experience on the front screen, i dont see any issues with it. Dex as well idc about that, even on my tablet i dont use it. Great video and all valid points, keep it up. I do wish the cameras were a little bit better
My Z Flip 5's lower screen went totally white on the 10th day I bought it. Didn't drop it or splash water over it or smth, absolutely nothing. I opened it to answer a call and all of the sudden its lower screen went completely white and was flashing. That went on for about 2 hours on and off. It came back to normal on its own . Hopung that doesn't repeat.
You don't have it in a case to protect it? That's user error. Also, I have no issues with tap-to-pay, while in a case with a metal kickstand in the way.
Other's have probably already said the following collectively, but what is the internet if not for everyone to post their unrequested opinions. Just like yours in this video. 😁 Nearly all of these "MAJOR" problems are a stretch just to create a video longer than 5 minutes. The phone is meant to be pockitible. Not have the world's best camera. For the camera specs it has, it takes great photos. The best camera is the one you have on you. It's super convenient to be able to put the phone in flex mode and take a photo hand-free, or hold it in such a way to take a birds-eye-view shot. As far as the scratches and the fake issue with Tap To Pay? Use a case on your device 😂. The reason you had an issue with tap was because you forgot you could access your cards from that cover display. The battery still lasts a full day for average usage. You being a RUclipsr would probably have higher than average usage. So you may need to charge before the day ends. While the keyboard IS vertically shallow compared to other phones, at least you can see what you're doing above that. Having the DeX in the phone would be cool. But again, the phone is meant for pocketability. If you want that type of productivity, you get the latest S Ultra or the latest Fold instead.
i have never had a problem with the tap feature. i came from s21 ultra. i do agree the camera sucks in terms of picture quality and responsiveness of it. thoght i wasn't going to bother me but it kinda do battery life is shorten from a normal full day use. but it charges pretty fast, so it makes up for it. and handy power banks are everywhere no comment on dex, i never use them. i have laptop and computer for that display keyboard? i don't mind spending a second to open up the phone. i mainly i like that i can do more things without having to open the phone when i'm in the middle of work
These foldable phones are only safe buying with proper insurance cover and warranty after expire of the two it creates huge dent on wallet to get repaired and chances are higher too compared to bar phones
My 5 major issues: - Battery life - No widgets and limitations on cover screen - Camera - Reliability- My internal screen already has a thick green line apparently due to display failure near the folding crease. Replacement under warranty takes 12 business days + shipping. I sincerely hope there's a flip version of S23 Ultra or a smaller version of S23 ULtra.
@@Losing4Fun Even with Good lock, you can't have app widgets on cover screen. You cannot change quick panel shortcuts on cover screen. And many more...
Commenting live as I watch this lol. I don't take pics and I have a cool case so no scratches. Easy fix dude. I have experienced difficulty with the tap but once I get it down it should be OK. Maybe lol.
Razr plus is better then the z flip 5. Number 1 it has a feature like DeX called ready for and it runs 100 times better then DeX. 2 if say you are running a game and 8 gigs of ram is just not enough your screwed with Samsung but the razr plus has a feature you can turn your 8 gigs of ram into 10 gigs of ram. The razr lets you sacrifice 2 gigs of storage and turn it into 2 gigs of ram. It's called ram boost. So while the razr ships with 8 gigs of RAM like the flip 5 the razr can sacrifice 2 gigs of storage to boost your ram up to 10 gigs of ram. That's something the flip 5 can't do. So with ram and features the razr plus will have a slightly longer shelf life then the flip 5.
the thing that bugs me the most is that google assistant used to work with the phone closed and now it doesnt, unless you revert the update backwardss.
Only issues I've had over 6ish months are: Plastic bezel ring chipped. Rubber hinge cover malfunctioned and had to be sent back. Accidentally got my fingernail hooked into the screen protector and now it needs to be replaced.
That’s because it’s a stupid concept. It sounds fun, but you cannot make a screen that folds like paper and use it over and over again and expect it not to fail. It’s simply not logical, Samsung has never been able to make a foldable screen that does not have this issue. Phone is still relatively new and already hearing people with comments about how it’s breaking.
5:00, yes you are exagerating because I use Samsung Pay on my Flip 5 all the time and it doesn't need to touch the reader. Obiously you need to use the bottom part of the phone (note: the top part is the outer screen, yes, I'm being sarcastic). 5:15 Lesson here: USE A CASE! And, btw, that's true for any phone. !0:39 No, the Razr + (or 40 Ultra) is not any better to type on the cover screen. I owned that phone and sent it back. I kept the Flip 5. But I do agree with you that the outer screen takes some getting used to for replies and it's only good for short messages. All that said, I enjoyed your video very much.
Same. I really want to try the Flip but something in my heart keeps saying go big or go home and stick with the Ultra series lol..ugh idk what to do. I also have s22 ultra.
Overall this review, though honest... I feel the user is at fault for most of these issues. Not understand the location of the NFC chip within the body of the phone. Insisting that the manufacturer should fix the issue of you not wanting to put a case on your phone. Also having to high of expections when it comes to improving the battery and the camera. The form factor limits how much they can put in that phone... Want a better camera then they would have to shrink the size of the outside display. As for the battery they would have to enlarge the size of the phone, which would also enlarge the price. Every issue you have with this phone is a compromise Samsung had to make, due to the form factor and price of the phone.
U didn't address the 2 big bugaboos of the flips: broken hinges as well as the "line of death". Had these on each of our phones, & then had to deal with nasty, obfuscating, stalling Samsung. Never again.
13:24 am not using pointed stylus. but using a rubber stylus to type this message. and avoid using pointed objects on your phone. if it damages the phone, don't complain just like having scratches when you drop it or hit it on somethint.
That tap to pay problem is such a specific type of problem 😂 Edit: even the cover displays typing is such a minor issue LOL just open your phone! If you're in a situation that doesnt allow it for whatever reason, just wait till you can! These "problems" are wack
I have the 10 plus since 2019 Still have it in 2024 It's been 5 years. The phone never worked right. The motherboard on the S10+ Done I'm still looking for a new phone.
So, u do most of the video comparing it to the primo S23. I submit that they serve 2 different types of ppl. If u gotta have that flip, then that is ur phone. But for the S23, u can compare to way more manufacturers.
Well i dont think expecting a great typing experience on the cover display is a fair expection, its only purpose is to inform you what the notification is so you can decide if you need to open the phone, and to give you basic info like the weather. But if these are the main issues then you sold me on it. I rarely use the camera and only use samsung pay when i forgot my wallet and galaxy watch. Never once used dex. I normally only use 40% of my galaxy 10s battery. So im sold
Why can't you fold the phone and use it that way? It works for me! I use a case and have no scratches. You know that the payment apps work on the cover screen? Do you know about goodlock???
Thank you very much for the excellent video. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 which is almost 5 years old and it's time to upgrade to a newer Samsung. My faithful Galaxy Note 9 has an S-Pen, the functionality of a Secure Folder (where I store all my banking apps and sensitive notes) and most importantly an external Micro SD card slot. The intrinsic memory of my Galaxy Note 9 is just 128 GB but I use an external memory card that gives me an additional 786 GB of extra space. The Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra both have a S-Pen (a discrete S-Pen in Z Fold 5 is the biggest disadvantage I think, mainly because I tend to misplace small things). Could you please tell me which phone, the Z Fold 5 or the Galaxy S23 Ultra has Secure Folder and a slot to accommodate an external Micro SD Card to enhance the storage capacity? Thanks so much!

NFC works at a distance. I never once touched my phone to a payment surface before.
The screen went bad on my Z Flip 5 after just 3 months. The constant bending caused it to form a blacked out bar along the middle crease. Within minutes, the blacked out area spread to the entire screen. Phone was completely dead at that point.
is the lcd screen really is the problem or the screen protector?
@@hannakim9519 Screen protectors going bad would have nothing to do with the OLED display having a blacked out bar or line; it is display damage. While it is possible to be a defect in the hinge and/or its surrounding components that can cause display damage on the flip devices, it most commonly happens from liquid damage, dropping the phone, or similar physical damage to the phone.
@@hannakim9519 guess what was mentioned above its an LCD issue which costs a lot if not covered under warranty.
I agree with everything highlighted and starting to hate using my Flip 5. I still love the form factor and wonder if I can ever go back to the mega form like Ultra or Pro Max. Really disappointing Samsung and to not improve the Flip 6 is basically criminal.
JOIN THE CLUB NEVER AGAIN THIS FREAKING FLIP PHONE. THEY SHOULD USE A KISS TECHNIQUES. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. I WILL NOT UPGRADE TO ANY FLIP.
You can tap and pay and when you do tap below the outside screen, the back bottom of the phone.
the genius didnt realized it before complaining so hard
I just switched from the flip 4 to the 5 the same camera is a little disappointing but so far loving the flip 5
Any problems with the screen?
@@eduardos.195 so far the screen to hold up well. where as my flip 4 after 2 months white dots appeared on the middle portion on the screen.
@@OhSo_Interesting is there an update up to this date about the screen? i am planning to purchase one :( but still unsure because of the screen issues ive have been seeing
As for the tap pay, i def agree. But flat, no. Actually i open it half way and it works perfect every time.
I find the cover display easy to type on. I use email, text and WhatsApp. No problem.
your personality shines in this video i love the story when you dropped your phone, real world test!
Guess we'll find out
Guess so 😭 I'm thinking more about lessened insulation thanks to the larger display -
I've saved up so much money from 4 jobs, thinking I might upgrade from the S10e to this phone if it's not gonna break on me so soon. Also in Canada~
What case was it?😂
Want to share with the class what case that was? Thinking of upgrading my broken s21
For me it's been durable, good photos, decent battery life that gets me through the day, amazing at the gym because of it's size and front screen, customization, android notifications are superior, it's fast, smooth and awesome screen, selfies with the fam in flex mode and the NFC closed always gets me a comment out of strangers lol.
I use Gboard for the keyboard and you can resize it to whatever size you want!
Enjoy it!
Iv been using it for 6 months already based in SA this is by far the best flip phone in my opinion. I dnt regret buying it I'm still finding lots of interesting things about this phone 6 months later I'm loving it 😅😅
Watching and typing this on my z flip 5 cover screen and the only issue I got with it is battery life. But we all know battery is not why we're buying this phone lol. Just go for it, you won't regret it. It's the coolest phone ever 😂
Yes I typed the first time with one hand and it was full of typos. But it doesn't bother me 😂
That was a long way of saying the Flip 5 has no major problems, just minor inconveniences.
I BOUGHT THIS FLIP5 FOR JUST 2 THINGS... NOSTALGIA BECAUSE IT'S SMALL AND THAT I CAN KEEP MY MOBILE AND THE SMOKE PACK IN THE SAME POCKET.. I AM SICK AND TIRED THAT SMART PHONES TAKES 2 MUCH SPACE.... IM SOO HAPPY THAT I GOT THIS PHONE 😃😃😃😃😃😃
You had me subscribed just with the communism joke 😂🤣
As someone who would affected in no way shape or form by those problems, if those are the major issues, im getting it
The battery part I agree and can relate to very much as a Flip 4 owner 😂
you do not need to open it to tap. just tap the upper part of the color case(i.e. the bottom case).
Yes as mentioned you can tap it folded but it needs to be fully flat on top of scanner
Mine works fine without it being flat
Mine works fine without it being flat 8:17
Are you tapping with the hinge only (phone closed) or with the top display?@@mikepotter6064
ive been tapping with my phone closed, it works so smoothly! havent tried tapping w the phone open, but when closed ive never had an issue. didnt have to lay it flat.
For tap, either tap folded or tap with the bottom of the phone: thats where the tap is.
I find the flip 5's camera way better than tha iphone 12 or 13,or 14 I have compared my flip 5 toh all these 3 flagship phone
Ever heard of phone cases?
I have connected my flip 5 to desktop screen via Dock Station ( HDMI ) . It worked perfectly alright. Hope you re-edit your video again and add this as a cool feature in ur upcoming videos !!! 😎
That's not true.....
@@Cubano2031100% true it works
It is.. anyway u continue finding its flaws and I , enjoy its coolest features .. Take Care@@Cubano2031
Welp that answered all my questions. Thank you!
I wouldn't call these MAJOR problems. Maybe battery and camera, but they're still good enough. You can't compare them to the Ultra or Iphone. It's just not physically possible to put a bigger battery and cameras into this form factor. You have to sacrifice some things in order to have it be foldable.
The tap to pay is not bad at all it works just like iphone only difference is you have to use the bottome part
Thnx for the feedback!! All about different experiences and uses with this one!
OMG, Buddy! You crack me up😂. Love the videos and the wise cracks. Thanks for sharing!
Great update for my Mini Disc player.
You don't have it in a case to protect it? That's user error. Also, I have no issues with tap-to-pay, while in a case with a metal kickstand in the way.
If that's all the major 5 issues, I am gonna buy it, yes man, definitely!
Never bought a phone for the camera. Bought a Flip for the size. It's a darn good phone.
I take it your a person who wants a slim and portable phone so the flip would be good. If your a camera person then the z flip makes no sense.
@@darkiceywolf2953 Correct. I think they're all good. Just personal preference. -
Other's have probably already said the following collectively, but what is the internet if not for everyone to post their unrequested opinions. Just like yours in this video. 😁
Nearly all of these "MAJOR" problems are a stretch just to create a video longer than 5 minutes.
Bro! GREAT VIDEO! VERY ENTERTAINING!
i have never had a problem with the tap feature.
i came from s21 ultra. i do agree the camera sucks in terms of picture quality and responsiveness of it. thoght i wasn't going to bother me but it kinda do
battery life is shorten from a normal full day use. but it charges pretty fast, so it makes up for it. and handy power banks are everywhere
no comment on dex, i never use them. i have laptop and computer for that
display keyboard? i don't mind spending a second to open up the phone. i mainly i like that i can do more things without having to open the phone when i'm in the middle of work
These foldable phones are only safe buying with proper insurance cover and warranty after expire of the two it creates huge dent on wallet to get repaired and chances are higher too compared to bar phones
Actually the Motorola RAZR plus is the best flip phone.. and has less issues, and better features.
I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT MOTOROLA. I'M SO DISCOURAGED NOW ON SAMSUNG. NEVER AGAIN. I WILL SELL THIS PHONE FOR A CHEAPER PRICE AND BIY MOTOROLA.
My 5 major issues:
- Battery life
- No widgets and limitations on cover screen
- Camera
- Reliability- My internal screen already has a thick green line apparently due to display failure near the folding crease. Replacement under warranty takes 12 business days + shipping.
I sincerely hope there's a flip version of S23 Ultra or a smaller version of S23 ULtra.
That makes me sad, I'm thinking about getting this phone. I have a fold 3 now and I'm on my 2nd replacement
Limitations on cover screen? Good Lock solve this.
@@Losing4Fun Even with Good lock, you can't have app widgets on cover screen. You cannot change quick panel shortcuts on cover screen. And many more...
Ah. Looks like the screen issue I had with mine which is the very first model repeats.
You can get all the apps and widgets on the cover screen with good lock
Good informative video and you're kinda funny as well so it keeps it interesting. Thank you. Subbed to your channel 😊.
Commenting live as I watch this lol. I don't take pics and I have a cool case so no scratches. Easy fix dude. I have experienced difficulty with the tap but once I get it down it should be OK. Maybe lol.
the thumbnail scared me because i just ordered it and im waiting for it to arrive and then is see the thumb nail with a crack in the middle
Only issues I've had over 6ish months are:
Plastic bezel ring chipped.
Rubber hinge cover malfunctioned and had to be sent back.
Accidentally got my fingernail hooked into the screen protector and now it needs to be replaced.
How many times did you have to say "tap"?
Informative video still. Thanks. ✌️
Lol I’m sure you could hold on to the screen part and tap with it semi folded, then you won’t drop it, so that point is mute, no issue with tap
Where did you get the wallpaper of the cat staring at the coffee? Super cute, I need
It's a lofi video!
Your voice is good ,I don't need subtitles in your video
Have you heard of the screen having damage issues? My screen has bubbles under the part where it folds. I'm not sure why.
Yeah thats not my situation. The bottom part doesnt work for tap. In fact the chip for it is indeed in the top half.
I have the S22 Ultra and I'm still on the fence for the Fold 5, Flip 5, s23 Ultra, or waiting for the S24 Ultra lol
Same here
Same
Thank you that helps me decide I’ll stick buying iPhone😀
13:24 am not using pointed stylus. but using a rubber stylus to type this message. and avoid using pointed objects on your phone. if it damages the phone, don't complain just like having scratches when you drop it or hit it on somethint.
That tap to pay problem is such a specific type of problem 😂
Edit: even the cover displays typing is such a minor issue LOL just open your phone! If you're in a situation that doesnt allow it for whatever reason, just wait till you can! These "problems" are wack
Great video! Just subscribed!
I have non of these issues except the tap to pay thing sux, just lucky i guess
I have no problem using the tab to pay, I use folded front screen cover screen without using the inner screen.
I have the 10 plus since 2019
Still have it in 2024 It's been 5 years.
What Tablet/Ipad would u recommend for a Student, Price should be as low as possible. Limit 600 Euro
So im sold
I worked around the tap problem myself from day one. Just hold your phone upsidedown to tap, problem solved.
Why can't you fold the phone and use it that way? It works for me! I use a case and have no scratches. You know that the payment apps work on the cover screen? Do you know about goodlock???
You must be getting these phones for free for a review. How can you own several current top of the line phones at the same time?
Like seriously, are these the major issues.. 😍... I'm confused to trade my s22 with zflip 5 or not.
Shame you missed the biggest problem of screen cracking or blacking along the fold. Samsung warranty say its because I've opened and closed it to much ! On my third one but contract ends next week so won't be getting another
Ordered one in green and 512 after this video
I'll stick with my s23 ultra. I couldn't make this many downgrades fir the gimmic of it folding. It's neat, but that's it.
I believe the nfc reader is at the bottom part of the phone.
Had 1 for 5 weeks and screen got white line down it, don’t get one they’re prone to failing
I have connectivity issues with my ultra 23. After only a year. I need to get another phone. Cant decide between flip or fold. I love the camera on ultra 23. :(
Bro says he's going to tell us 5 major issues when in fact I can list 5 major issues ANY phone can have, it's an electronic device, even the best of the best is going to mess up and he a lemon sometimes
I only had my zflip5 for 7 months and I got the crease bubble. I been trying to get it fixed because my phone is under warranty but Samsung wants to charge me 99$ to fix it. I had the same issue with my flip3,4 and now 5. Customer service is horrible. I will NEVER buy a Samsung product ever again.
Hey ... It seems that you "flipped" on your original post when it came out. [which I liked] You were so positive. What is up?
