    Another great guide. I always use the simple phrase when teaching this - It's got to look like your low serve, right up to the moment it's not. As well as the same action and body stance, I tell them not to change where they are looking when doing the flick serve. Eyes focused on the low serve point and relying on the practiced action to flick the shuttle to the correct area.

    Hi, at the 2nd point Jen shows a racket rotation as a deceptive mechanism, however when I see Greg perform the serve he is not using that, Jen isn't either at 2.12, nor do the other players performing a flick. All of that seems logical als the racket rotation has a bigger chance to result in an error. Would it be possible to replace the racket rotation in the video at 1.02 by a lateral movement? Kind Regards, Erik

    When the 1.15m rule came in did you guys change anything e.g. did you specifically practise serving at the new limit?

      Yeah, BE got a couple of the service height things and we spent quite a bit of time figuring out what height we could go to, whilst still being legal!
      To be honest I (Jenny) didn’t feel the need to change my serve much as I was comfortable in what I was currently doing and it was working well for me :)

    • @richiero0o0
      @richiero0o0 3 года назад +1

      When you're sitting watching TV, get a squash ball and just keep doing squeezes to build up your finger strength.
      Also note that at the point you apply the finger power there's also a tiny (really tiny) of amount of forearm rotation.

    Make low serves during the whole match and then in the end make a high serve at a crucial point. Definetely you'll deceive your opponent.
