That intro was like three and half levels of a call of duty game.
That intro was intense.
Please don't ever edit music into a discussion again.
Several of these people are talking with accents, and the music isn't helping, in fact it's getting in the way.
I wish you'd fix it. Pull the music and let us hear clearly what's being said.
Dan Lewis true I barely can hear conversation
It's a common beginner's mistake.
There's an art to mixing music in with the human voice. They share some frequencies.
Thanks for the video, LAV! I have one of the US guns (TCC #49). There is a strict 500rd break-in. I'm impressed with the broken-in trigger and the outstanding accuracy. It point-shoots well if you wear gloves or use grip tape. However, the gun still has some issues: Out of the box, my sights were 1" off at 10yds and shooting high, and part of the white insert in the right rear sight dot had fallen out. I had the front sight drifted, but it still shoots high. The barrel is not ramped; I can't reliably feel anything but FMJ, and even then I get at least a couple jams per range session (with production ammo). The slide is so massive, and has so much inertia, that the low bore axis makes no difference; the Walther PPQ, for example, shoots just as flat and accurately. The locking block is very innovative, but moves at a 90-degree angle with significant friction, and must be run wet or the slide will eventually have to be bumped forward before it will return to battery (you can catch this if you pay close attention to one of the "Russian operator themed" promotional videos). The laser engraving is very fine and somewhat sharp, and will probably fill with plastic from your holster. And the empty mags don't drop free. Overall, this gun has a couple of impressive features; however, it must be run wet with ball-profile ammo-- it's about as reliable as a finicky 1911. It's a great range gun, and I kind of appreciate the malfunction practice it gives me, but it's an expensive piece for what you actually get. I would never trust my life to this gun. I got a great holster and mag pouch from Daniel's Holsters, though. It's a fun toy if you have the money. Keep it clean, keep it greased, and stay safe.
Greg Krsak Thanks for this great review. Before I go reaching for my wallet. Glock it still is. I was excited by the low bore to grip on this gun.
One of the best episodes I have ever watched on TacTV, Great job and very educating!
Thanks larry for these awesome videos. Your format and info is by far the best gun show on TV/Internet period
Larry, you always brings the best insider footage. We need more!
Your videos are by far the best when it comes to guns. Always educational and interesting. Keep up the good work Larry!
At 18:43... anyone else notice the mag drop?
Well, Larry noticed.
Frickin Awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on one. Vick you lucky Dowg.
Thanks for showing all of this
Low bore axis, striker fired, high capacity.. awesome pistol.. Can't wait to actually fire one..
Italian designers, man. I freaking love that they think outside the box.
Thanks for bringing this vid out. I WANT ONE!
It would be cool to see you reviewing and looking at gear too...maybe even Warrior Assault Systems, my favourite company.
Awesome!! I been waiting for this video for a long time !
Beautiful episode vickers. Very well done.
Very interesting design. I can't wait to get my hands on one. I'm really interested to see if the recoil impulse is very different from other similar platforms.
Quickly becoming my favorite channel👍👍
damn that intro was awesome man, and a hell of an episode, thanks for sharing
Great videos keep them coming love them
The engineering side of this handgun is dead-on perfect!! I was going to blow some big bux on a Pardini but now, I WANT ONE OF THESE!!!
I love videos where I learn something. This one certainly did that. Thanks.
you don't need a soundtrack at the manufacturing plant, the din of the goings on is fine. makes it that much harder to understand what is being said. love the video!
Did this video got lost in the hard drive somewhere? Would have been badass and new two years ago.
This is from Tac TV... A couple of years ago.
Well don't I feel stupid!
+Kent Sextro we all have our moments.
Cool vid, glad to see some innovation in the market!
YES! I've been waiting for this video for a VERY. long. time...
Larry Vickers is THE man! Huge fan of that man. God blessed, he is healing and recovering from a battle with cancer.
Nice video and very interesting pistol LAV...can't wait for them to hit the street and put one in the collection!
Truly a historic segment there! I've followed the Strike One for years now and it's really great to not only hear the story behind it but to see the faces of the people who made this gun a reality. I think this gun is the next evolution of pistol technology and will set a new standard as they stated in this video. I hope they come out with a compact or even a subcompact model as this gun would be a bear to conceal. Either way, just throw a Surefire X300 Ultra on there and you couldn't ask for a better "bump in the night" or SHTF pistol for us civilians. As always, thanks for the expertise and the ever cool slow-mo footage!!
Rumor has it that they will be unveiling a smaller (combat) version at 2016 SHOT
awesome video Larry!
Can't wait to see a compact or sub compact strike one. :)
That's the most badass intro on RUclips!
Very interesting.. thanks.
Hopefully I can get my hands on one here in Canada with a reasonable price point
I love the moustache guy. Its rare you get someone so old that knows their stuff about guns and manufacturing.
Excellent video! Can't wait to get my hands on one. Was that the magazine accidentally released at 18:44?
Non-stop dubstep. Yep, this is def a video from 2015 😂
If by some chance the striker/sear mal-functions while carrying in the holster, will the firing-pin-block prevent a firing of the cartridge...?
Awesome video Larry, anymore thoughts on this pistol? Thanks for going over and getting us on site video!
Dmitry and Nikola looked like real G's when they fired their guns, Larry looks like an operator for sure.
Does Nikola have any family in Sicily per chance? xD
Wow I definitely wouldn't mind getting one of those
Dammit Larry! now I need a strike one..
Anyone else think Dimitri looks like the Great One Wayne Gretzky. I would rock one of those Arsenals
did the magazine accidentally fall out at 18:43? are the mag release buttons sticking out a little too much?
Hey dudes, FWIW, "Tanfoglio" is pronounced sort of like "Tan-foal-lee-yo". The G is silent. Great video, love the interviews and factory shots. Very interesting innovation from the country that brought us the pistol.
What happened with the magazine at 18:44 ? This has probably been asked already but that's a lot of scrolling.. ;)
Diggin the new intro!
*mag drops* "Did I just do that? Shit."
cool. love Italian guns among other things
That moment when your mag drops out of nowhere
Awesome
Good video, sir.
Will you be featuring Tanfoglio's firearms as well? Wondering about buying a Stock 3 Extreme
Huh, I didn't know Tanfoglio was the italian company that made the Strike One.
It makes perfect sense, though. They've done outsourced manufacturing work on CZ-75 deivatives for years.
Looks cool. One of the first non-Glock guns that piques my interest.
***** I have one. It's a fun "range gun", but it doesn't feed or cycle standard 9mm very well.
Greg Krsak Hey dude, so it doesn't like to get standard ball? What does the gun cycle well?
Jblooddrunk really hot ammo, like plus p ammo, it has Russian spec ops in mind
@@GregKrsak Maybe YOURS don’t.
Remember the 500 round break-in.
Mine is flawless.
@@gustavoechevarria9369 Correct!
Ждем Strike One Mini )))
definitely buying it
I really want a strike one it also is cool they put a distributor in OKC a hour away from me.
Think it won't be long until you start seeing some serious number increases in your subscriber count, excellent content made with excellent quality...editing is outstanding. Keep it up Vickers Tactical.
What happened with the mag LAV? Didn't look intentional or am I mistaken?
Ya did look like he was confused when it popped out at the end
To me it looked like the gun had a very large magazine release button, like competition guns.
Edward Fortune reminded me when I had my Caracal pistols. If your right thumb wasn't completely spooning your left thumb, it would always engage the slide lock mechanism and one would not get slide lock after the last shot.
Edward Fortune Outside of patent infringement, I'm wondering why it doesn't have an HK/Euro style paddle mag release to counter this issue for guys with bigger hands. I notice the designers tend to base their ergonomics on Weaver stance grips and why it's not issue for them.
+BlueHyena agreed i found getting used to the paddle on my vp9 was a little challenging vs my xd m&p and glock but now i wish everyone of my guns had it
Nice gun
You going to done a video on the Stryk B when it's released?
I like the new intro ;)
Bros I want to see the bravo model are they at shot 2018?!
anybody have one of these? Thoughts?
18:26 Isn't the rear sight mounted backwards? The two dots are facing the target.
The metal frame version is interesting.
The magazine falling out during mid fire, that is the one thing that concerns me with this gun.
18:45
That strike one looks nice.
Any news on the Strike One Speed?
Some points in this video where subtitles would have been appreciated, the background noise was just drowning out Mr. Bandini.
CAN NEVER GET ENOUGHT OF SLOW MO!
Why the mag felld down while you were shooting ?? (at 18'45) :) :)
Looks like he squeezed his hands and made it fall out. I have done the same thing.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A MAGAZINE CAPACITY OF 19 PLUS 1 LIKE MY SPRINGFIELD XDM 3.8. THE GRIP LOOKS LONG ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE 2 MORE ROUNDS.
do a video on the deagle
I really do hope it comes to the US. I would love to have one.
Shinakumiatsu It's been available for months already (soonerstatearsenal.com). If you have the deep pockets, have at it.
I want one!
Is that the same type of pistol that the Russians ran in the 'Insane Russian Confidence Drill'?
Echo Sierra Yes.
Echo Sierra Yep.
Echo Sierra You're an idiot? His in Italy and Russia produce !!!
Echo Sierra in Russia it is called Swift СТРИЖ
илья головА The Strizh and Strike One are essentially the same pistol.
Is the production by Tanfoglio still up-to-date?
Figured the style of the ambi mag release they have gone for was going to be a design flaw and it looks like it is seeing as the mag drops out during this video.
Should have just made it changeable with a left or right option or better yet gone a HK and Walther paddle style.
So I wonder what happened, in 2018 I don’t see these pistols available, let alone at Glock prices. They are some being made by a US company under license but seem to be at the $1500-$2000 price which seems very expensive for a polymer striker fired pistol.
subbed
The hype train is real. I hope it lives up to it.
Isnt that the same basic design of the rotating barrel like the beretta PX4?? It was released in 2004 I think...
i hope they make one glock 19 sized that would be an amazing gun
BRING BACK THE TV SHOW...YER THE BEST
vickers tactical can you plzz see about indian insas rifles
I want to get one with a black slide and a tan frame just so that I can name it Black & Tanfoglio.
Anyone else see Larry's mag fall out? Lol (a little past 18:30)
I'm stilling waiting to see this gun in .45ACP, myself.
That pistol is going to put Beretta out of Business. Beautiful gun!
+Jason M Beretta is in Business since 1526, hard to put it out.
I used to own a Glock 17. So to those who tried this gun, can you tell me how it compares to a compensated Glock when it comes to recoil and muzzle rise?
That mag drop happens whenever I shoot the full ambi FNS guns. Too bad, just doesn't work for some hands.
I would to appreciate if the music was left out when they were talking, it is kinda "annoying" - nevertheless the new intro is fucking awesome, larry!
hehe accidental mag drop at 18:42 :D One disadvantage of a fat ambi mag release button :) why not going the walther way with a index finder mag drop on the triggerguard?
because Americans don't like it generally. it's more a European thing.
So this was recorded last year? Or in 2013???
This was filmed in 2013. Why was it not published sooner? Was it? If Tanfoglio's making it, that's some muscle behind it. Nice gun. They need to redesign the rear sight to accept standard after-market sights.
if they made a compact version of this gun Id be all over this as my ccw gun
yeah maybe if it was around $350 id be interested, think ill be keeping my HK P-30 for daily carry.
Wow. I'm assuming y
ou are also on the "why pay $20 for a Zippo when you can pick up a Bic for $1.99 all day, everyday" bandwagon
nope but when i can buy a shotgun that 10x more useful for $350 why would i spend $1800 for one thats near worthless other than cool factor, firearms are nothing more than tools, and when the tool doesnt have a real use it becomes a novelty and worth far less
+nathan campbell you do have a good point
