- A lyric video for Sarah McLachlan's "Possession". It's pretty self explanatory. You all probably have the gist of these videos by now. At least I hope you do. Sorry, I'm rambling.
The story of how this song came to be is so haunting. But not more haunting than these lyrics and Sarah’s voice. Incredible. ❤❤❤❤❤
The song is beautifully sung and played by all involved. Besides the lyrics, the Bass line what really draws me in.
After researching the song though. I found it to have a sad and dark story to tell.
A lonely computer programmer was righting letters to Miss McLachlan.
After being rejected and labeled a stalker. Drove himself out into the woods and pointed a shotgun towards his own head.
Nobody even knew he was missing. His rent payed months in advance.
It was a tipped over motorcycle in the driveway that brought attention to him.
He was finally found rip Uwe Vandrei
this is hands down 1of the greatest stalker songs ever!! + the fact it was written by and actual stalker 😹

@@RealFunFuneral976 yes it's true -- he was stalking her and writing her creepy letters ...I guess in her own way Sarah Mclachlan was like: I'm not afraid of you so I'm gonna make a song out of 1of your creepy letters -- it turned out to be a hit ...he tried to sue Sarah ...but before a settlement could be reached ...the guy committed suicide

Reminds me of an episode from "Sliders" where Rembrandt Brown ran into his "biggest fan", and she turned out to be an absolute nutcase psycho, and then he escapes from the house and her boyfriend, and when he finally gets away and meets up with the others, the manager at the hotel, said, "You are Rembrandt Brown, Wow i am your Biggest Fan!" and Brown angrily replies," Don't!! Don't You EVER say that AGAIN!!"

This song reminds me of something that happened years ago. She copied his steelo. She had numbers on her side saying otherwise. He & her both kept tabs on each other & were cool with each other initially. It didn't end well for either.
