Literally, Mehmed is showing unnecessary drama, so immature and makes a quick judgement. The mistake is Mustafa's, he should've never shown him consoles and tried to cheer him up. He surely has a jealousy towards Mustafa, that's why he thinks Mustafa that way. He blames him for manipulating Suleiman, he should take a look at his mother and then know the real definition of manupulations.

@@Yanatscrolls The first born was not automatically the heir in the Ottoman empire. It was ultimately up to the Sultan. The decision was based upon merit, not order of birth.
You're right he wasn't , but he was the eldest prince whose mother isn't in favor with the sultan ,he didn't have time to mourn . He lost his mentor and strongest form of protection , he needed to move on@@TJRhea

Yeah, she "loved" him so much that she used him as a shield and a weapon against Hurrem and Suleiman. She turned him into bait with her own hands by constantly threatening Hurrem's children, using Mustafa. "I will destroy you with the power I get from my prince" and "You will watch your children die (when Mustafa becomes the sultan" are Mahidevran's own words. She couldn't spare even her own son from using him for her fragile ego and arrogance to show off. What did she save lmao? She threw him in fire with her own hands, instead of protecting him she sought protection from him. Tell me one mother who uses her child as a shield.
