  • Suleiman Tests Mustafa's Loyalty "YOU ARE TAKING THE THRONE, MUSTAFA"
Watch Episode 110 👉 • Magnificent Century Ep...
The tension rises even more between father and son on the Magnificent Century! As everyone gets worried for Mustafa, he doesn't bows his head. Suleiman threatens Mustafa! Mustafa walks in the guild of janisarries holding a death warrant.
Hürrem and Mustafa draw their battle lines. As Suleiman fights with his suspicions, one more difficult test awaits Mustafa.
Just as everything has settled down in the palace, everyone starts to wait in curiosity that Nazenin is giving birth. Is a new prince coming in the palace?
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

In the whole drama, i Watched only Mustafa was supported by all greatest men of otoman empire's without benefits and bribe. But others made important people by their side giving money, bribe and giving high position. By these we can know who is truly best person and who are the worst.
If there was other he would accept this proposal, but Mustafa was loyal to his father.

Mustafa was a fool. A competent prince would have taken the throne by now, with or without such assets. That's why he was never fit to rule, that's why he lost. His brother Bayezid was more willful but still lacking in terms of strategy. His brother Cihanger was physically lacking, his mind was brilliant but he was too much like Mustafa, too good and naive. His brother Selim was neither brave nor as strong as Mustafa or Bayezid or even Mehmed, but he was no fool, he knew how to play the game well and that's why he won in the end and became Sultan. As for Suleiman's chosen prince, Mehmed, according to history he was the most suitable to rule the Empire but sadly fate had other plans. Ultimately, only the strongest wins, not in mind, body, goodness or bravery but in will alone.

@@QwuithLordDartox Yep, He should have taken the throne. Also, he was was a brave warrior. Had he ascended the throne, the history would have been written differently.
He would likely surpass his father and would possibly annex vienna.

I always thought Mustafa had the support he did because of the favoritism for the first born prince. I think he was suitable as Suleyman's successor, but in intellect, strenght or agility, he was similar to his younger brothers, except Selim who began his career with the left foot. Suleyman, too, favored him, until he began to distrust him. Mustafa made senseless mistakes throughout his career which he refused to acknowledge as such. He even rebelled upon suspicion of Suleyman, although Suleyman let it go rather quickly. It makes the worship for him confusing, so i chalk it up to him being the oldest prince by a moderate difference of five years.

I don't know much about Ottoman history. But, if I go by the serial.... Mustafa was the ideal successor of Suleiman. He has the nerve of his men. Compassionate, brave, well respected and honest. But, destiny has other plans.....

Women have been whispering in the ears of powerful men since the dawn of time and civilization. Suleiman is no exception. All these idiots who blindly hate on Mustafa are doing it for one reason only. Retribution. An orthodox slave became the wife of the Sultan and now everyone looks to get some closure in their hearts by supporting her and downplaying Mustafa. You all vent your frustrations on him because he represents true Islamic and Ottoman customs, the same ones I'm guessing your ancestors have been conquered on. Had he become Sultan than the Ottoman Empire could've reached Vienna and possibly Rome. The Christian world was weak after Suleiman's death. Selim didn't do much, he just sort of sat there, drinking his days away and writing poetry. With Mustafa's leadership and the love he received from his peers the Empire could've expanded even further. He was respected by the Persians and kept the borders to the East safe. Egypt and North Africa were stable. He had an open road to Vienna. English and French were fighting among each other. He would've probably spared his brothers. Selim would drink his days away in a safe province, Bayezid would be leading the army and Cihangir would be his personal advisor. The only people who would've suffered from his reign to power would be Hurrem and Rustem. A small price to pay. Hurem won the throne with a piric victory. Her own sons turned on each other because she kept watch more over Mustafa then she did her own sons...

@afreenjahan3719 well in this story, Mustafa somehow did not stop the Janissaries from pledging loyalty to him than to Suleiman. In fact, he basked in it. So he indirectly positioned himself to be the next Sultan when his father was still alive and well. That comprises treason however you call it. Hurrem and Rustem could've plotted against him endlessly but if he only pledged 100% loyalty to his father and not listened to his mother, nothing would've happen. If you must blame someone, blame Mahidevran who instilled in her son's mind that he and only he can sit on the throne and we know what she would've done to Mustafa's brothers.

    Or a challenge at all.
In reality its natural that we all must resist the urge to challenge the ones in positions of power.
But in some cults & kingdoms it is designed indeed by traditions & ritualisms
In most royal hierarchies most princes or princesses just wait til the old queen or king just dies of old age or illness or in battle.
In the more tribalismic cults its a younger warrior defeating an old tribe leader alpha,
😂in this show however they defo portray it really romantizised as if the sultan indeed really tests his sons & daughters,,🙄 if they ever survived the purgin from their own father.
