Aether Raids, AR-D: AoE Marianne is a BEAST! Rank 1 Anima Defense Showcase [FEH]

Good evening, everyone! Apologies for uploading my video a little late because I fell ill the day before, but I feel better now. For my new Anima defense, I took some inspiration from Joel of FEHology's SeaDolphin pasta map and made a Dancer/Rally trap defense but added my own flair to the mix, so this is more or less a watered-down version of the original pasta. I wasn't able to make it to Rank 1 last Astra season because this defense got sac played, but second time's the charm and I got a perfect defense week! My AoE Marianne was totally the MVP this season!

Thank you! Free 80% AoE DR without a stat check is still an amazing boon for an old unit, though luckily Nagi isn't all that common in AR-O so I can breathe easy. 🤭

I love this defense build 😮. The Rally on Duo Sanaki really helped keep everyone on their toes because it made her so unpredictable that focusing on Marianne become even more stressful. Plus there's no real counters to AOEs in Astra/Anima so you always had the upper hand. GGs congrats on rank 1 💪

Thank you! I agree that the unpredictability from Rally Traps worked to my favor and made it trickier to approach this defense in general. And yeah, you love to see the big damage from AoE when it lands. 😎

Aoe is the great equaliser for an older infantry nuke

So true, especially with the HP>25% condition being commonplace for most modern units.

AoE huh? That’s a neat idea, usually just use flare

AoE is pretty niche since it could be easily dodged (unless if you run Embla) and is mainly used to punish those who rely on pure omnitanking. Surprisingly, most of my opponents didn't position their Save units well, not that I mind.
