You keep up the great job you are doing for the topic of Climate Change. Just go through any neighborhood in any state in any town. You won't see children outside. No bicycle riding. No walks to see friends. No playing in the park. Because of the heat you rarely see kids staying all afternoon at the local city pool. It is too hot and UV rays are too strong . That is a fact.

Indiana a state controlled by republicans finally was given no choice by the Federal government to clean up their waterways. In Indianapolis we have some of the poorest quality of air because they used coal to generate electricity I believe until the Federal government said no more. Left to republicans devices we’d be like Los Angeles where some days it’s so dark because of air quality that they recommend you stay inside. Republicans don’t care as long as they keep their corporate buddies happy but you can’t keep poisoning the planet and expect not to have the natural disasters we are experiencing now. I am 61. I live in Seattle. EVERY summer gets hotter and hotter. The smoke from all the wildfires makes the sky red and brown and the air smells like charcoal. This never happened when I was younger. We had 24" and 36" of snow here sometimes when I was a kid. We got less than 2" last winter. GLOBAL WARMING is REAL! We're destroying the planet for our children and grandchildren.

Um, two years ago I bought a hybrid car. It gets 62 miles per gallon. We love this car. Last year, I bought a hybrid truck. It gets 42 miles per gallon. This truck does everything I need it to do. Neither vehicle broke our bank account because hybrid vehicle prices have actually gone down. A hybrid vehicle tends to cost about $1,000 to $2,000 more than their non hybrid counterparts. When you factor in the savings on gas, it is totally worth it.
I love my hybrid also!

I live in Canada, in New Brunswick, and you cannot convince me that there is no Climate Change. When I was a kid - which wasn't that long ago - our MAX temperature for the day between June and August would be 25-30C - with 30 being the most extreme and would not be that common. With Humidex, we might have hit 32, and those days were mostly in August, and maybe only once or twice in that month.
Now? Now we're getting 30 with humidex kicking things into the upper 30's and even touching into 40. Our Summers are more humid, the stretches of hot weather last for more than one or two days and happen more often in a month. We're getting more rotating storms when such things were EXTREMELY rare, and we're now even seeing funnel clouds/low scale tornadoes. Our winters are no longer as cold, there isn't the snow we used to have - nowhere close to it - and our springs and falls are earlier and shorter while summer seems much longer.
People like Margie need to get a reality check; maybe go to a place that has signs of the change and live there for a while. Maybe one of those island's that sinking thanks to rising sea levels...
