It looks like that Carb-A-Traitor, could use a little bit of Taryl Tuning😂😂 !!
One trick we used "BACK IN THE DAY" to set the Super Glue was Baking Soda. Just sprinkle the Baking Soda on the seam where you see the oozing glue, and it will set quicker and form a strong bond.
Love your Channel, Taryl! And....there's your dinner 🫵🏻
You can also get an activator, just remember to get the glue bottle away from it before you spray. You only make that mistake once when you have a solid bottle of ca glue.
I still use that trick want to make super Glue to be more Effective add Baking Soda.
I keep some in a Small squeeze Bottle
A squirt bottle of water will make it set.
We called them bance guns here in the uk and i believe they still use them , used on railway changing fish plates and chair fastenings, the sockets were held on with a pin and a rubber rings the pins use to bend, you could get a cradle that could be put on the rails to help in carry and take the weight removing fish bolts, but we just used them by hand and after a shift you knew you had been using them 👍👍
That sure would work out good for changing out wheels on an 18 Wheeler.
It wouldn't work out so good for your back!! Haha!
That would have come in so handy when I worked on Semi Trucks and Trailers.
Taryl is a skilled mechanic who has the hands to show for it!
When i was a kid we used gas drills for drilling holes in maple trees for spouts to collect sap to make syrup. Much better than using a bit and brace. One guy I worked for used a regular corded drill with a genset in a trailer to tap trees. Dragging the cord around was a PITA.
Nice to see Carla in the skit. You need to add her to more skits.
Is that Taryl's wife>??
33 years in the Laborers Union in Boston and I’d never seen one of these till I was hired by a company that did railroad work. Like you mentioned Taryl Most companies have switched over to Battery powered Dewalt and Milwaukee impact guns since they are so much easier/ convenient to use. The only problem the battery tools have a much greater tendency to get “lost” than the 40lb gas powered ones 😂
Fear the Carladactyl! She was mad!
Put one those larger Unicorn log splitter bits on that tool for forcible entry on locked metal doors? Say good bye to the door jambs and the hinges.
Hi if you add baking soda to the super glue it will get super hard super fast just sprinkle it over the super glue in no time it will be rock hard!!!!!!
Get a 1" to 3/4 adapter. And a 3/4 to 1/2 one
Love the video. Forgot to check the oil in that impact! 😂
3m and sem autobody products has the thick crazy glue, also comes with a pump spray that hardens the glue instanty. Sem also makes multi purpose panel adhesive. That bonds plastics steel aluminium awsome product, 24 hour cure time.
Well so far when it comes to chainsaws, battery powered stuff can't keep up with gas powered saws.
love how every project starts with let's take this cover off..tons of unneeded plastic.. Happy Halloween to all in Podunk
Got the primer bulb backwards it draws from the tank and pushes through the carb and from the carb return pipe straight to tank.. That's how we have always done it in SA
🤫😂
I wish that I had known the simple “purge ball” line trick when I was in the industry. I usually found out the hard way.
Incredible man powerful
try sprinkling some baking soda over your super glue next time, it isn't pretty but it sets up much faster and stronger
Add baking soda to your super glue….sand, rinse, and repeat
You can always get it going you'll good
Those Racine 2cycle 1" impact guns are over $1,000 used. I'm sure at least twice that new. Pretty cool.
The railroad welds the tracks together, instead of bolting. Seamlesstracks.
My hubby's maternal grandfather worked for the SouthernRail-
way in his younger days...not sure if he ever used this "dbl smacker", but
H.H.Peeples
probably
knew about it...

mahn Teryl !!
(and my may-yun really enjoys your ability and willingness to share as he learns on our small engine stuff.
You mean the torque test channel
That would look nice next to my 2 gas powered Ryobi Sawalls. Got those from a salvage yard.
You can pin the socket on and secure it with an oring in the socket groove.
Ya used a Roll Pin
Oddly, I just happened to watch the video where they were torque testing one of these yesterday. Strange timing and strange that youtube recommended it to me.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN. Another fine post, cheers guys.
I used a gas powered impact for tightening anchor bolts that went around 300 ft in the ground then they had to be tightened to spec with a 5 ft long torque wrench named Bertha lol. Come to think of it they did switch to electric impacts half way through the job reason for being we had to stand them straight up on the bolts and people were getting gassed out in the dig out were the bolt were to be anchored.
Wow. I have worked on petrol breakers, but I've never seen a petrol powered nut gun.
I wonder what torque it can produce?
You should use a bicycle hand brake lever assembly for that trigger replacement.
add a post hole auger? That might make it have a new life.
Halloween Taryl is the best!
Yup an old RACINE Railroad Impact Gun. Made right here in my hometown in Wisconsin.
Like to have one for collecting. Baking soda makes the glue harden near instant and work where it wouldn't without the soda.
Sell one to Andrew Camarata. He has all kinds of heavy equipment with giant bolts holding the wheels on.
Taryl , the torque test channel covers this. It is designed for the railroad. They can impact the tracks together
You guys should get one of those Service body Pickups (with all the toolboxes and compartments on each side) so you can put all of the common spare parts and your tools in there and go to calls and be able to fix it up on site without needing to bring it back to the shop. You can pick them up (pickup geddit? hehe) cheap at auctions all the time, especially when local government gets rid of their current fleet to buy new ones, they like having shiny new stuff for some reason, I dunno that seems to be the case most times when the taxpayer is picking up the bill..
Very interesting. The railroad had a lot of unusual equipment. Thanks for the video
Taryl, thats a Tanaka motor on that nut choocher! I wonder if they left the old lable on under the Racine on the recoil? Id love to have one of those for my trucks .
it's got a torque cam adjustment that prevents over torquing or snapping fasteners
You and Mrs Dactyl need to have another egg. Then name it squirrell Dactyl
It has a "Two smoker" on the back, file that phrase away for later use.
My Sunday is complete, thanks for the show!
Should get the mowers serviced for summer.
It's early summer here in the southern hemisphere.
And yes, our engines spin counter clockwise here.
Kind regards,
Uncle D
Thank you for sharing. Enjoyed.👍
You may use baking soda to instantly cure any cyanoacrylate containing glued or spray instacure products from Bob Smith Industries that will force stupid glue to instantly cure when the spray contacts the glue. Can damage some plastics and painted surfaces so you have to be selective about where and when you apply it. The baking soda trick I learned from a buddy that was a flight mechanic in Afghanistan and he said that is how they did field repairs on helicopter rotors that had sustained minor damage from small stones and pebbles. It cures almost instantly, can be machined, drilled, tapped, sanded and painted. Works like magic.
She has the same voice and mannerisms as jr. When she walked into the garage and freaked out about the mower she sounded just like him😂😂
That is now a piece of history pretty cool…👍👍
Hello taryl, thé very superman. My respects 👌👌👌👍👍👍😉🥳
A compression release trigger for an old motorcross bike would work on that. They're like tiny clutch leavers
I wood have used some j b weld epoxy to build up around outside if the assembly halves . Love your videos. Started in first grade going to the repair shops with my dad in 1959. The old Clintons , power products, reo and briggs and scrappins!!! The reo was a horizontal shaft with a rightangle adapter gearbox to the grass blade (18” blade).
Never knew they made such a thing.
Now that definitely fits in the category of heavy duty
You crack me up….. I’ve been working on the railroad….😂😂😂😂😂😂
you had the rotation set to tighten the nut in your first failed attempt to remove it.
that bulb sounds like a turkey caller
Hey Mr Taryl you should try super glue and baking soda it will set right up all most instantly love your videos watch them all
That looks like a railroad impact wrench or for trailer truck lugbolts lol
We use the snap on 3/4 drivve for semi's. But yeah instead of a box truck with a compressor for on to go tire changes. It would be nice to have that. The snapon 3/4 pnuematic only weighs 28lbs. The Ingersoll Rand weighs 40lbs. I've snapped lugs on a peterbilt with that Ingersoll rand. I hate both of them. I'm sure the battree powered ones were welcomed by the railroad workers haha. - Detroit
Stop it guys you cracking me up😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅
i heard those where outlawed 😁😁👍👍
For setting stupid glue, use a fine mist of water .
Matt at Diesel Creek could probably use it.
I would scarp it 😁😁😁
The business end of that impact must have been made by the same company that makes JIS screwdrivers - Vessel.
I wonder how difficult it'd be to convert those into starters for racing engines. The racing crews use battery powered ones with heavy lead/acid batteries. Could be an interesting project and way to recycle instead of scrapping them.
Impact socket retaining pin with ring. Ring goes around socket to hold pin through hole in socket and square drive. Keeps socket from flying off the tool.
Taryl you can get adapter to a smaller socket
The crew over on the @TorqueTestChannel did that rail gun test you mentioned
Need a 1" to 1/4" adapter now!
27:19
My four year old thinks that’s the funniest part of the video.😆
Interesting
The garage door closer was leaking on it
I have a Tanaka drill for lineman use, much better than a bit and brace! years later when DeWalt came out with battery powered hammer drills, a coworker broke his wrist when the drill was set to "drill" mode instead of " hammer" mode, the drill bit stopped but the tool quickly twisted his wrist out of normal range of motion.
Taryl: I forget the name of the channel that did a video on this Torque something...
Me Yelling @ my TV: Torque Test Channel!!!!
Also Taryl: 28:25
*_Facepalm_*
I use to work on track grinders for R/R
marine epoxy or fab the pieces out of steel or aluminum.
I wonder how much one of those were brand new.
What about videos of things that the test of us might actually own and need help with.
What's going on my friends
“Gwampa I got Gwamma a new thigh skwatcha fwum Tawul!
The tool that can bust any nuts loose Yah
Used them when building bridges on nature trails way back in the woods. Drills and impacts.
Well someone is going to die I guess!. That lady with the mower is really scary! Where do you hire talent like that in your neighborhood? If you die, Taryl, can I have your gas powered drill and wrench collection?
But what was causing all the oil leaking out of the mower and making the lady screech??
Literally called the torque test channel
Those might be good for starting high compression racing engines. Like on those big bore hill climbing bikes.
Been trying to find a good used gas powered 1inch impact
boy that is quite the rattle gun
Hey Taryl, you should buy the accelerator for the super glue, it cures it immediately.
Back Breaker Tools
Hello Taryl
Thanks taryl 🖖
Hell I wouldn't mind getting one of those that would make a nice engine for something other than a drill or that impact
It's easy when you have a shop full of parts laying around. Anyone could do it.
If you want to impress someone, find an old machine out in the woods, and get it running with nothing more to work with than the Leatherman on your belt....
Taryl, first of all, I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from them! But I have a problem that I’m not sure how to fix! I have a friend that has a John Deere JS45 walk behind self propelled mower. It has a Breaks and Scrapem’ model 12S502 0114 B1 engine. The engine has a primer bulb, no choke, that is located on an extended part on the lower part of the air filter housing. I can prime the carb by pouring gas directly into the carb and it will start and keep running. Oh, I also put a new carb on it because the old one was full of water and corroded like you wouldn’t believe, Anyway, if I let the mower set until later or the next day, I try to prime it with the bulb and it will not fire off. Carburetor is exactly the same as the original one. Can you help me out with any suggestions to get it to prime with the bulb?
Thank you sir in advance!
I have this exact red mower, lol mine doesn't leak, 😂
