New boot goofin! Looks good af. Sad to hear about your old man again but def comfort to be had that hes with God now and was able to meet the little man before his time came. We'll make this trip one for the books in his honor.
Sorry about your loss, pal. You always keep it real - your honesty and passion shines true. Death connects us to our roots. I had an awful year too - lost my bru - my soul-mate and just recently my dog - my brown shadow... but we owe it to the one's that dropped off the trail to keep wheeling. Keep the cool content coming, pal. This channel deserves a bigger tribe!

Heart felt sympathy from Australia for you and your family Bro. I'm sure he'd be super proud. You're enthusiasm is infectious and is inspiring my own Grand Grand build here in Oz. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you touring down under sometime King. Peace 🙏🏼
Oh trust me I’ve had a few weeks to really cry. Sometimes I feel guilty that I don’t cry as much anymore thinking about him. But thank you. I appreciate you
Brother you’re Grand Cherokee is by far one of the best lookin ones I’ve seen so far! I totally understand where you’re coming from about Pops I lost mine too couple of years ago ya just gotta keep moving forward brother cause that’s what he’d want you to keep doing no doubt!
That has to be the most tasteful WK2 I have seen. It really wears those 35s well. I hope the 35s don't wear your fenders as well ;) I'm a TJ guy at heart, but my current ride is a WG (WJ manufactured in Austria). I use it as a military casualty rescue ambulance in Ukraine (Russia at the moment). So after having started with an XJ, followed by a ZJ, I'm now back in the Grand Cherokee crowd. I'll be following your channel. Prayers for you and your father.
Sorry for your loss. Prayers and well wishes to you and yours. Granite Grand looks real good on 35s. I'm slowly working on building my wk2 and 35s have been on my mind since day 1. I have a summit so the quadralift will be a bit of a different approach but knowing what needs to be cut and how much offset is good to know. Im sure that with my suspension it will differ a bit, but still a good starting base. Keep up the great content and keep on wheelin'.
Thank you so much. And yes 35’s are a little bit of a project to fit. Even with a 3” lift. I believe the Quadra lift gives you a max of 2.6”. Just gonna need some snip snip haha
Thanks for being vulnerable. My heart goes out to you and your family. I am glad to see you back; the wheels look awesome. I'm kind of jealous now, haha.
Hey man, awesome GC. You don’t see too many GC builds so it peeked my interested instantly. This video came across my suggested feed this morning, looks like you’re a WA/OR local! Just subscribed, keep up the videos 🙌
Started watching your videos in the last couple weeks as I also have a Grand Cherokee and I always appreciate your down to earth personality. When you mentioned your dad was sick in one of your videos I have been thinking of him and you for a while. Sorry to hear about your dad. It sounds like he is at peace now.
Keep your head up bro, I know what it feels to lose somebody like your dad, I lost my mom when I was 10 years old and it sucks bro just know they’re in a much better place now and you gotta stay strong keep going brotha much love from cali!
I'm so sorry for your loss. His pain is over now and he's in a better place. It's always hard to lose a loved one. Keep on keeping on. Take your time to grieve, we'll be here when you want to get back on with the videos!
FYI I just purchased a 2020 JGC Laredo Altitude but didn't realize anything about the 4x4 transfer case. I have the basic one as I was like where is the switch for 4-low, 4-hi etc. The salesman at the BMW dealers said it's in the settings screen. Ya he lied. I came from a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4. So I guess I'll keep it as long as I can stand it and trade it for one I can do some off-roading with. I was stupid going into purchasing my first Jeep. I got caught up in wanting a all black one and thought they were all the same 4 wheel drive wise. Oh well.
Hey Jon so sorry for your loss, I lost both my parents a decade ago (just a few months apart) and it was a wake up call for sure that tomorrow is not guaranteed. Like you said he's no longer suffering and he's there, you just can't see him and I'm 100% sure he's so very proud of you.
My condolances from Norway across the pond ❤. Sorry to hear about your father. On an other note, your WK is just spectacular. An inspiration for sure. Best regards from a fellow WK2 wheeler in Norway 😊
I feel ya man, I just lost my little brother. Condolences. I've been messing with my air suspension for about 8 months now. I got 33s nitto ridge grapplers. They worked great for me on my wk but they seem bigger than 33"
The new wheels and tires look great Jon, be cautious about the wheel spin and traction again as you discovered already. You will want to start planning for diffs/axles swap with the larger tires to really get the most of them on the trail. Your front brace support at the subframe is not structural to the subframe itself. You can remove the bolts from the rocker/body side of the arm and just cut it at the subframe side. This will clear all the space needed, and you do not want to reuse the subframe bolts (they are one time use, and you don't want to deal with snapped bolts).
Thank you. 🙏. I just replaced the diffs and axles but I’m looking for sturdier axles. I’m running Bwoody lateral toe arms because the stock ones are flimsy. I see they break in track hawks cuz of wheel spin. Also running Bwoody extended sway bar links and I have the camber arms ordered. Beefier subframe brackets and more to come
Oh man! Jeep looking amazing, whenever you get a chance if you could tell me how you managed to fit those 35’s! Also sorry about your dad, keep in mind he’s in a better place looking over you my man🙏🏽
Thank you 🙏 and yes, I’m still in the process of making them fit for off-roading. Doing it right will require re-welding haha. But I will go more in depth once I think I got it dialed in
Keep on keepin on my dude. I still don't understand the 35s, my 33.4s rub body/subframe metal in so many places...more offset would help a couple spots, but increase rub in others...adding 3/4" to the outside of the tires themselves is just inconceivable to me. But it looks good man!
Honestly just trying something new and experimenting and feeling things out for myself as opposed to just going off what I read or what others say you know? Like for example if I asked you before I got 33’s, would they rub on my subframes and you told me yes then it might keep me from getting them but in my case they don’t rub my subframe. They’re are also some trails I want to hit that require 35’s
Dad is having the time of life man, No pain, no tears, just pure love and joy in God’s glory. He left this life with a loving embrace from his son and was immediately met with Yeshua’s embrace. He’s a lucky man!
If you use the spacer lift you are going to have serious issues with your axles prop shaft front differential and possible transfer case over the next year or two maybe three... in 3 years a budget boost caused me to replace my differential once my prop shaft four times my drive axles three times my front shocks three times my ball joints four times my inner tie rods three times
Looking super great brother!!!! Listen! I have an eco diesel wk2 and just bought some 33x12.5r20’s I just ordered a 2” lift kit for it as well what do you think will they fit or do I need to change my tire size? Thanks so much any comment will help a lot!
You might get rubbing on the front of your front fender. You could drop the lower fascia like mine and it should clear. Also 12.5 is pretty wide. I know guys running it but they run at least 1.5-1.75l spacers. You have a fuel line running on the side of the driver rear wheel. If you pull back your liner you can see how close your tire is now to it.
@@GrandExploration Man Super thanks for responding so quickly! & ok so maybe with some spacers? Also I put the SRT body kit on mine so you think I’ll have to trim any of it? I kinda blew all my money on the set & there is no turning back haha I love your build by the way! Thanks for all the guidance!!
First of all, my deepest condolences on the death of your father. This definitely won't be easy at first. But I think you have a lot of people who love you and support you on this journey. I would like to say the following to your Granny. The 35 inch tires look great. Also the high side flank is ideal for off-road driving. However, it has to fit technically perfectly. No issue or grinding of the tires at full steering angle or full articulation. Only then is it really good. All the best and kind regards.
@@M.G.jun. thank you greatly. I appreciate that. Yes we have to do some re welding work. We got it planned in the next couple weeks. Unfortunately won’t have it done before this next trip. We’ll see if the Jeep does her own trimming on this trip haha
It's fun to go off-roading but really it isn't worth it unless you get a differential drop lower control arm drop and a transmission crossmember drop without those you're going to run into so many issues man
@@GrandExploration a 2 and a half inch budget boost will give you about 5 inches of boost I made it over some pretty gnarly rocks with that budget boost on but independent front suspension doesn't have Flex like the rear does best way to do is to throw three grand at it. When enough money you can actually get a solid axle put in the front even though it has a unibody
