FINALLY... a fragrance comparison video where the reviewers refer to the fragrances by name fairly consistently. Too many videos are filled with "this" and "this," and "this one" and "this one." GREAT JOB! And Ashley certainly brings the knowledge. Looking forward to seeing more of her on the channel.

I've had Laudano Nero for nearly two years and could never quite put my finger on what was happening. I really love a strong cannabis accord in my frags and very seldom is it accurate or even present. I like them both differently! Thanks for a great review! Thanks Ashley!

Black afgano takes me to an ancient city bazaars that field with bakhoor , oud , hookah tobacco & hand made rose soaps & I simply love it . I just revived a 10 ml amouge fate man & it reminded me of BA & I am liking it as much . Laudano Nero sounds interesting to try for sure because I love boozy scents . Thank you guys for this sweet review as always !
This scent does take me to a souq or a bazaar towards the bakhour/oud shop. When I pair it with spice bomb, I'm a walking bazaar wherever i go lmao
The booziness is a bit different in LN because of it being cognac and also because of what it's mixed with and how much of it there is. It kind of melds with the dark honey note. It stands out amongst boozy fragrances where its whisky or rum and it really smells like that spirit. Here there are so many notes that its more of a part of the blend rather than being in the spotlight.
Great review. I have a hard time wearing Laudano Nero out because just don't know wear it fits for me. It's much different than Black Afgano. LN is just a huge frag for me! Ashley has a great nose! Thanks for the review.

I like L/ Nero more. It's complex, smoky and boozy. I get a boozy dried fruit Accord. B/Afgano is great dark hasshishy but I find it harder to wear. Great review.
never tried BA.own and love LN.i have laudano nero ,lillipur ,marrema ,orion from TT. love them all.TT fragrances ,i think, are the best in that price range and up, that you can buy.quality ingredients,not harsh ,long lasting....thank you

Just got my nose on Laudano Nero tonight, I get a lot of ashy tobacco and as it dried down it reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Tobacco Oud. Different scents but a lot of crossover. Not smelt BA yet, have tried Sospiro Laylati though and that has a similar vibe but more clean musk in it its not as dark as Laudano Nero.
I feel I psychically willed this video into existence. Only kidding. Seriously, I'd enjoy hearing her opinion after having WORN both fragrances. Most seasoned reviewers, perfumers and fragrance enthusiasts will readily admit that scents are VASTLY different on the skin than on paper. However, I truly enjoyed hearing you both discuss these beloved gems for those 'in tha know'. And giving a tantalizing introduction to those who may be new to these scent creations. Honors, Mosiah

I feel laudanoNero rough and ashy, the ash is cold and unpleasant for me. Therefore I prefer blackAfgano in spite of it's sweetness.
I almost said I was given a sample of Black Afgano when I went to Lucky Scent but then I just realized it was Bal d'Afrique!
Nasomatto’s Black Afghano!, Ashley is right, it is more refined and it is because of the quality of the raw materials, hence triple the price. Great video!

I own both, Laudano Nero is the best and a beastmode scent. Ecstasy is decent, but not as strong, or striking.

I'm on my second bottle of Black Afgano and the earlier bottle (purchased 2011) compared to my recent purchase (2019) had much stronger sillage and staying power on the skin. You can note the dilution in colour alone. A little disappointed to be honest but it still smells amazing.
From what I remember from college days in uk, hash from Afghanistan or Pakistan was black, Lebanon area of origin it was red, and Moroccan was gold. Hence the name!

Enjoyed this comparison video. According to me (and that's all that matters - LOL!) I don't see that much similarity between the two other (Nere is much sweeter and boozier) than they're both fine fragrances and in the same zipcode. I own Laudano Nero for and not Black Afgano for a few reasons: 1) I don't mind the beast mode because I just spray one-quarter to one-half spray under the shirt 2) my girlfriend loves it and it receive more favorable comments 3) I have a couple inexpensive fragrances that remind me quite a bit of Black Afgano.

I like both perfumes. Laudano Nero is piercing, 1 spray and I am done....and I like the cognac in it. But I like Black Afgano, strong, rough, heavy, smokey;-) They smell different. Completely different.

Just to let you know. Black afgano does not have a cannabis note. It has a hashish note. The two scents are completely different.

Hmmm. Interesting.
Ashley's comparison is a little unfair to Paolo Terenzi since Ashley clearly has some fond, personal scent memories with Black Afgano. Even though her views are biased (I suppose all of our views on fragrance are pretty biased.) and she's fond of the mild, simple, and understated, she's still quite eloquent and is able to describe her preferences and the fragrance nuances well. Personally, I think Laudano Nero is one of the best fragrances I've ever smelled! Paolo Terenzi is certainly a master of perfumery!
Not fan of beast mode fragrances, I kind of feel weird when my fragrances projects loudly.

I hear ya..it gives me anxiety lol. There's several frags I own that 1 spray is overbearing at my work. Technically I've only been called out once, but I know people talk.
I think it's so odd when you absolutely cannot smell your fragrance (not nose blind) and others compliment you 🤔
then dilute the perfume or use only one spray. I don't understand people that like lighter fragrances, you can dilute a strong frag but you cannot strengthen a weak one...

Both are in same category of smell,,, but is day and night between!!! Laudano it is more sweet,,,, its more like cough syrup!!!! And also Laudano Nero is more powerfull Laudano nero i like and Black Afgano i love it,,,, i wear in any season...

I had not considered Laudano Nero until now, although I do not normally consider myself tending toward sweet fragrances. I have been really wanting to try Black Afgano. Bernie777 I sampled Black Afgano in a perfume shop in Miami I liked it a lot bought Anubis Kiss and when I tell you they are near identical I mean it. If you sprayed both on skin it would be hard for most people to tell them apart.

I’ve gotta say Sebastian, I’ve smelled Black Afghano, was totally nasty 🤢, but Tiziana Terenzi after Kilian has been my longest lasting perfume ever especially for the price, the Rise one in specific. I think that Nasamato is very very overrated. Sheesh I just got a sample and man, you guys aren't kidding about the beast mode! I can't believe how potent this stuff is! Insane! As usual though with incense notes, they just dominate everything else on my skin so that all 5 or 6 colognes I have that contain incense notes basically smell identical in the dry down. Bummer. This smells almost exactly like dark rebel on me. I can scarcely tell them apart. This smells cleaner. But it smells like a head shop. That's pretty much it. I feel like I could get some hippie oil from the head shop and smell the exact same for like $5 lol. As for the cannabis note - to me it smells like bong water. Not so great. I feel like way WAY too many colognes have incense lately, I guess it's just all the ones I've been trying.

The problem with Black Afgano is that it fades away EXTREMELY quick. Like within one to two hours you can barely smell it unless you put your nose in contact with the skin. A shame, cause i love the smell.
LN has a word and cloying rubbery smell. I wanted to like it but gave it away
