Hello. My name is Ahmed and I'm a Fligth Instructor and an Examiner for over 8 years. Currently I fly A320 as a F/O. You have done a nice effort to make this video.
However, the information you have mentioned at 6:20 regarding the final approach fix is not precise. The final approach fix for this approach is at 6.3 DME IAV at 2700 feet AMSL as indicated on the PROFILE view of this chart. To be more specific, at the Maltese Cross symbol. The second point is that on the PLAN view of the chart, that bold holding race course shape is called a COURSE REVERSAL. because it is bold, it has to be flown as charted. It is used to position the aircraft on the intermediate/final approach segment if the aircraft is commencing the approach from overhead the VOR. So its not for circling.
6:20 , is it Final Approach Fix ? I thought it’s Glide slope check altitude . Referring to Plan view , FAF will be whenever , at 2700’ , the GS is intercepted for ILS ( And MALTESE CROSS will be FAF for LOC only approach)
What he meant is that because the aircraft is RNAV equipped, it is above the DME minima and therefore this is restriction is not needed for his approach.
HEy Pranas ! Thanks for these videos man!! AM a FAA certified CME/IR pilot and currently studying for the JAA ATPL ( a curse indeed) but your videos are very helpful if you can please upload more of these videos covering JAA material and also if you can some videos regarding how to use the CRP-5 on Navigation questions please! cus high time THE JAA/EASE gives permission to use electronic flight computers for students!!!! anyway thanks alot for the videos !!
You prolly dont care but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Rocky Judson thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Than you very much for these videos, can you please give a general explanation about the left hand bottom of the sheet (Changes), do the modify anything of the chart? , is it important to note them during the briefing?
The outbound from the VOR vno of 174 degrees- u said it's a heading, but shouldn't that be radial 174 not a heading to distance 9.9 before turning to intercept the localiser ?
Hi could someone tell me why de they tell you the transition altitud in a landing chart? I mean you wont use it at all, even in case of a go around you dont climb to 5000
hello. thanks for the tutorials. if a chart does not have effective date, which is the effective date? the same as emited date? are there some sectional chart tutorials? O have some questions about sectional charts
Hello and congratulations for your videos. I have a question: when do we disconnect the automatic pilot if we do perform an automatic landing? Thank you
trust me not because he’s stuttering so much, he knows his stuff! this is how i explain to family member things about aviation and i stutter and they might think uon know what u talking bout, but it’s because so many information rushing to you while you explain one thing
Grrrrr. I soon realized the meaning of VNO. But IAV... I suppose it means "international Airport of Vilnius". Am I right? Well, I'm a glider student, not a CPL student. It's nice-to-know for me, not need-to-know.
IAV is the identity code for the ILS/DME and the LOC/DME. At Christchurch International Airport in New Zealand (CH/NZCH), the identity code for runway 02 is ICH (CH= Christchurch) and for runway 20 is IHW (HW= Harewood, the suburb the airport is located in).

hey guy,at 09:19,that is race track and base turn. it's not circling.be careful.thanks
Am I hearing correctly at 7:59 "for the localizer approach we don't need the DME"? DME is absolutely required.
samuraiskyhawk26 hahaha
What he meant is that because the aircraft is RNAV equipped, it is above the DME minima and therefore this is restriction is not needed for his approach.
6:20 is where you intercept the glide slope, 4.0 DME from IAV. FAF is 6.3 DME from IAV.
Very clear, very useful! Thanks a lot for sharing!

Well done... I appreciate your explanation, you made it very clear and easy
Do the chart numbers have a meaning? Why does it have a letter? 10-2G
How do we know if chart is already expired?
Idont think ATIS called airodrom terminal information service, i think is Automatic Terminal Information Service 0:53
Great presentation. Thanks
The best...thanks for your time...go ahead !
Correction it's a track not HDG 😁✌️
Why is the airport and runway elevation different ? Can someone please help me out with this
Wish you all the best man, very helpful thank you!
You are the best, congrats from South America..!!!
many thanks! Highly appreciate your efforts in putting forth this tutorial.

09:20 these lines are certainly not for circling, one is for racetrack and the other for the reversal prescribed track
Great! For a while now i've wanted to see a video on how to read jeppesen charts correctly, Thanks very much. :D
You missed man made structure .please confrim are they in AGL or altitudes ?
The outbound from the VOR vno of 174 degrees- u said it's a heading, but shouldn't that be radial 174 not a heading to distance 9.9 before turning to intercept the localiser ?

7:58 DME REQUIRED!
Many systems allow GPS in lieu of DME. So you don't need traditional DME.
Amazing video!!!!!

Hello and congratulations for your videos.
I have a question: when do we disconnect the automatic pilot if we do perform an automatic landing?
Thank you
I dont know what to say to it. It is , WOW very useful. I'll test it tomorrow
You would need the transition altitude if you did a go around and went to your alternate.
thank you very much but would you pls focus to make charts clear to viewers
Incredible and informative video
Great vid: thank you!
Minimum SECTOR altitude?
great ! very useful videos thanks at lot
3:18 you proceed on a TRACK of 149 degrees and NOT heading! You always have wind in real life.
Great job !!
best very good video.thanks
Hi :) very good video!
But how do I know which chart I have to take with me on my journey?
Greetings
David
All the charts of departure, destination and alternate airports.
The problem with Jeppesen charts, is that there is no way of telling if they are still valid or not..
trust me not because he’s stuttering so much, he knows his stuff! this is how i explain to family member things about aviation and i stutter and they might think uon know what u talking bout, but it’s because so many information rushing to you while you explain one thing
awesome. thanks.
Pranas ....this channe has become boring without you :(
Thanks pranas

MrJetra IAV just stands for the Localizer DME instead of the VORTAC DME

Atis = automatic, not aerodrome
Pilotmeja it’s automated
thank you!!!
Thanks man
