Part 2: • Hector Berrellez Detai...
Part 1: • Hector Berrellez on Be...
    --------
Hector Berrellez discussed his experience working undercover in Colombia during the height of Pablo Escobar's reign. Berrellez revealed that getting close to Escobar himself was nearly impossible due to his extensive protection and network of loyalists. He also mentioned that he did not have the opportunity to work with DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena, who later became famous through the Netflix series "Narcos." Berrellez explained that when working undercover, he was not allowed to visit the DEA office or be seen with other agents to maintain his cover. He also shared the risks and adrenaline rush that came with the job, admitting that he didn't think he would survive retirement due to his risky operations. Berrellez shared a jaw-dropping anecdote about arresting a captain from a narcotics sheriff's department in Texas who had sold him heroin.
