My only opinion/tip I'd like to share is: to recognize when your team needs role players. Maybe your team already has some high carry potential picks, say Khai Jungle and Sparrow carry.
Going for an Offlaner like Feng Mao that has high carry potential may seem appealing, but you could potentially increase the entire team's viability by going something tankier or with more CC (Steel, Kwang)
We all want to carry games but one of the best ways to rank up is to learn how to be carried!
That might work in higher mmr. Rule of thumb for gold and below - pick a carry and try to carry the clown fiesta on your own.
@@Murliiiyou are 100% correct. Really, I'm almost giving up my favorite role (support) cause of this. Just an example: the other day my carry decided to play on the offlane WITH the offlaner and left me alone (I was Phase) against sparrow and dekker.

I play a fair amount of gadget and tried howitzer for a game recently. I strongly agree with your placings for them on this tierlist, gadget is just flat better and far more consistent. I think howitzer maybe needs a range buff on his missile or something, as pretty much all other mages can fairly easily match the range of his missile - and he lacks the utility and raw damage that gadget (and other mages) offer.

I will of course do being my cooked builds for sure. As Ranked is limited time slots, it will be mostly casual videos for now, but even when ranked is fully on 24/7, i'll still be doing my normal casual videos

I think a smart strategy is to be able to play any role regardless of what you pick.
Technically any role here can switch to any other role except jungle because they are committed to the jungle item
So if your first pick but you chose support, be able to play both gideon and zarus and i guess sparrow if you need her, and chat in your team chat and say "hey I think we should snipe x hero, can you switch lanes with me so we can get one of the S tier heroes?" You just have to hope your other teammates have the same mindset as you. This way you can "swap roles" and get the most advantage possible in the draft.
IMO first 2 picks should be offlane/mid depending on who's free (because Gideon and zarus)
3rd jungler
4th Support (Narbash)
5th any carry
IF the enemy picks a role out of this order you can swap to snipe someone sooner, so like if they already chose a support or jungler first or second pick, you have no need to rush that, its free.
I really don't find sparrow that strong and if you just focus her down its not too big of a problem, so getting TB or Drongo instead of sparrow isn't a deal breaker. Loosing both Zarus and Gideon is.
There is also the first Pick/Ban strategy.
First pick is always the more advantageous.
If your first Ban pick you get first hero pick. So you shouldn't ban gideon or zarus. The enemy team will ban one of them, then you get to pick first and can just get who they didn't ban.
What we did in the SCL (SEA)tournament was first ban Gadget, the enemy usually banned Zarus, then we take gideon. That removes any Big Team ults from the enemy midlaner, it forces them to go Fey likely and she's pretty weak and easy to gank or Howie who's ult is single (ish) target. So removing the A and B tier heroes from mid and forcing them to play a C/D tier is super huge. This strategy gave us a huge advantage and won us the tournament
I came here to type basically the same thing, but unfortunately, it’ll never happen. There’s already too many people that will ONLY play one role. Coordinating this with randoms would be nearly impossible I think. However, that being said, this is my first MOBA, and I’ve never played one in a more competitive scenario, so who knows… maybe people will be more cooperative than I think!!
@@murff7518 I think once you make it out of Gold people will start using their brains. For now Duo with someone who's good, play S/A tier heroes and hope you get first pick. I find the easiest way to win games is to play jungle or carry, if you both can snag that then objectives will be much easier to take and you'll win most of your games. Brain dead jungler means no objectives. 5 seconds before objective is up at least 4/5 people should be there early game. I often find in lower tiers Junglers will be doing their Red when Fang is up, just ping it and rotate its free half the time
Important thing to note is that it is more important to pick your comfort picks than the OP picks. Even though Gideon is OP, I'm not going to swap my role to mid and pick him up when my offlane role is 10x better and will most def carry the game. You also got to think of the other player and how you are also removing them from their comfort pick and forcing them onto another pick. Chasing the meta too hard and discarding your comfort picks is a trap and it is explained in my last section.
Also, in tourneys, you can choose your drafts outside of the game, and because of that, you don't have to worry about hero/role swaps. You just pick the most optimal picks. In reality, the game doesn't have that option, so it is bad idea to force an ADC main first pick to go Gideon first pick: that person should pick their actual comfort/main pick. So the same tourney pick/ban strat cannot be apply to ranked for now unfortunately
Wait @Joey.. can I not have picked offlane and I find out I’m first pic and decide to just pick sparrow in chat and my adc goes offlane without swapping roles on the screen? Sorry what am I missing?
You can communicate that in chat if you want, but it is more likely that either one or both players are not going to be comfortable with playing an off role. It's fine if you can get filled in another role, but you don't want to fall in the trap of chasing the meta too hard to the point you go onto a role you are not as nearly comfortable on. This kind of situation should not be a thing in a normal ranked mode, but unfortunately we are getting a half finished ranked mode for now

Depends, maybe 1-2 weeks is good just to see if there are any game breaking or balance issues with the hero
With the new patch do you think this list stands? Ricktors buffs,zarus major nerfs,kwang buffs,kira nerf. Than tank items buffed and carry items reworked. Even with gids nerf his ult is still crazy strong and will keep him in s, same with sparrow the nerfs did nothing to her really.
I did made this tier list in mind for the recent adjustments. Nothing seems too drastically different, only small changes for now so things don't get blown out of proportional too hard. Zarus, for example, still feels very strong in this current meta even after the nerfs

As long as you're able to type to your teammates in the draft, that shouldn't be an issue.
You can swap role still even after the game gives you your role by chat yes, but that doesn't change the fact that if I want to do offlane this game and i am first pick, I can't pick Gideon for my midlaner and am stuck with my offlane pick. And I'm not going to swap my role to gideon/mid either.
There should be the option to first pick Gideon, and then trade that hero with whoever is on your team, but that doesn't exist is the issue as to why pick order is going RNG and will make for awkward drafts when it is all about picking the most meta/op heroes
Joey, how you feel about no 5v5 ranked mode? only 1-2?
i don't think 1v1 or 2v2 ranked would last long. 5v5 is where it is at
@@JoeYoursTruly sorry I mistyped. What I meant was. There's no way to que ranked as a 5 squad, it's either solo or duo only. With no built in voice comms, I feel like we won't be playing at the highest level of competition as possible. What are your thoughts?

Is there a way to block players? I had one of the worst games ever. Someone chose jungle but came to midlane where I was and wouldn't flipping move all game. Yep. We flopped the game. Don't think I'll have a good time in ranked....😢
With the Hunt/Smite we would need Hero and Role swap.

NGL not going for your S TIER team is kinda asking to lose on those obj fight ... zarus ult followed by gid,sparrow,narbash kinda GG AND you have khai bashing backline and zoning them away
i dont get one thing. according to meta tier list, only narbash is good support. and dekker is one trick pony how? she is great at play making, she can bait, stall and pretty much anything else. so why narbash is s tier, and then we have a gap of 2 tier without support heroes at all. not feeling it.

I’m not playing ranked until they add those essential necessary features because I don’t need any RNG affecting my W/L ratio.
If you are a good player, I don't think the RNG stuff will impact your early climb too much, it is when you start to get to Diamond/Paragon rank where things are going to feel a lot more like a coin flip and where the problems are only going to get worse
@@JoeYoursTruly I think it will matter, because it’s not just me that has to be a good player but my whole team when playing vs a Gideon for example because first pick is solo and we didn’t ban Gideon, now we fighting around fang tooth and everyone is huddled in a group not spaced out properly then we lose🤷🏾♂️

Revenant just needs a rework, he needs dual revolvers that apply different effects and an ultimate called dead eye where he enters the dark realm of his ult but he fires a shot from each revolver that acts as his fourth shot does now on each bullet and he grains crit chance and dmg in the ult. That would be sick
Haven't watched it yet but only 2 tips you need: don't solo que and if you do play carry. The rest will fall into place. And carries and their items are so ridiculously broken, it's the only way to go. They're running around killing people who aren't tanks, or bruisers, in 4-6 hits. Omeda needs to tone them down. Outplaying people isn't really a thing anymore, for most characters anyway.
Just run carry in any lane if you believe that.
@@Slider14967 Are you kidding? haha. People already do that. The only place they don't find success is the jungle, but only because they lack durability and good clearing capabilities.
