Considering America and British Canada nearly killed each other over a single pig, I'm not too surprised. Imagine if this war had been over snails though. Those seas would've run red.
France was so dirty here lol, I understand they're huge into lobster but if you can't fish it from your waters then make a deal with Brazil to buy it, but no stealing is so much easier and nets you 100% of the profit. Few things are worse in this world than nations that preach free market ideals and economic cooperation while shirking those ideals when it suits them.
I always found it interesting how around the 1600s, lobster was considered the poor man's food because of how abundant they were in coastal areas. Now it's probably one of the more expensive things you could get in a restaurant. Speaking of expensive restaurants, I feel like in some restaurants you're paying more for a chef to be an artist rather than an actual meal. I've been watching kitchen nightmares and hells kitchen lately and I sometimes see specific dishes and think "that's not even two spoonfuls but by God does it look pretty. How much? 250, not including the reservation? Take it back."
