Same technique as in violin playing the upper registers. You bend your wrist end elbow towards the body and the thumb leaves the upper part of the neck.

Good interpretation, good arrangement! There's so many bad guitar arrangements of this on youtube, with no thought for voice leading, even when they use fancy harp guitars with extra bass strings. Octave registration matters in a piece like this!

For those of you who (like me) wanted to buy some of Mr. Mogunovic's music scores, but found the link listed in the video description to be dead... After some digging, I see he moved his website. (It would have been nice if he had bothered to update the link but he did not).
His new music website is this:

You are right! Three videos had the old website listed…I just updated it. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention!
It is not that I didn’t bother to update it, it’s that I didn’t realize it stayed that way. Anyway, all good now! :)

@@nemanjabogunovic Thank you Mr. Bogunovic. My intent was not to be critical but rather just to point people in the right direction if they wish to buy your music scores.
I am about to do that myself, purchasing the score for this piece. I've been working on it several months now and have been working with several other scores (all of the fairly good and very similar). Watching your video I see a few phrases that differ in fingering slightly from what I already have... I have been struggling with some of those particular phrases but see you have some slightly different fingerings that might get me through them more gracefully. So have happily purchased it from you today.
Incidentally, the "Contact" link on your website also does not seem to be working. I had a small question about my purchase. I filled out the contact form, but the message will not "send". When I click the send button, a round swirling icon appears (indicating the message is trying to transmit) but it never completes. I tried on two different web browsers with the same results. You might want to look into this as well.
I much admire your playing! Thank you!

When maestro Bogunovic first told me that his guitar was built by a Mexican luthier (Vicente Barajas Martinez), I was quite surprised, to be honest. I wasn't aware that such fine instruments were being made there! So... I went and searched it out. Hmmm.... Very hard to find out much. It seems that most luthiers in Paracho (the city where most of them ply their trade) DON'T have websites. Many have phones, however. One would probably need to have a certain command of the Spanish language to commicate effectively over the phone though. It seems the only sure way of ordering a custom guitar there would be to actually travel there.

In another video has tells me that he plays a guitar built by a Mexican luthier by the name of Vicente Barajas Martinez. I was quite surprised, to be honest. I wasn't aware that such fine instruments were being made there! So... I went and searched it out. Hmmm.... Very hard to find out much. It seems that most luthiers in Paracho (the city where most of them ply their trade) DON'T have websites. Many have phones, however. You would probably need to have a certain command of the Spanish language to commicate effectively over the phone though. It seems the only sure way of ordering a custom guitar there would be to actually travel there. Caveat: Do tons of reserch first to determine who are the most qualified and respected among them. Most will only be churning out low grade instruments because that is the market they've chosen. Finding that gem will prove to be the hardest part. Good luck!
