Banff/Canada and National Park Plitvice 🏞 lakes are completely comparable by nature prettiest places. Cheers, guys. Have a great day wherever you are 🙃🙂
I visited Plitvice a few years ago and on my day the sun shone and the place was just magical, beyond description in so many ways. I did the right hand side of the lakes through the big one and what a brilliant day. I am hoping to visit Krka waterfalls to compare.
In April 2015 we missed the last boat and walked back in the rain and dark for over two hours to our accommodations. Plitvice is absolutely beautiful during the day.
Hi Sarah and Ivan, I'm a Canadian from VancouvrrI found your site in preparation for my trip in Croatia. Plitvice lakes is in my bucket list and finally I just landed in Dubrovnik today and a friend is coming tomorrow to join me.
I heard that the best time to visit Plitvice to experience the waterfalls at their peak is when snow starts to melt. I've been there only in the summer time so that's on my bucket list. Great vid, you too.

Wow, what an amazing scenery! All those waterfalls, lakes, is like walking in a fairy tale. Wich make me think about you saying that it's best to leave the kids at home. But why? A one year old sits in the stroller, the three year old sits in another one, or walks hand in hand with mum or dad and the five year old is old enough to pay attention to the danger of ...of what exactly? Just keep an eye on her/him and enjoy together! Shouldn't it be wonderful that the kids could say, back home: and we have seen such big waterfalls! And a lot of lakes, fishes were swimming in it and I gave my cookie to a duck! And there was a long, long, long wooden path and I layed there and played with the water and the woods were full of colours .... and .... and ... and so on. That makes a kid to grow, makes parents to be responsible. Not by preventing as much as you can, I think. It's just how I feel. And I'm sure you two are the best parents.
You just have to visit the Kornati islands! Also - Pula will delight you. Actually - the whole of Istria. Medulin, Poreč, Rovinj, and many other places.
None of Croatia National Parks are disappointing, all of them are worth it. More then worth it. And it is all pure nature, you don't switch on waterfalls in the morning like in America and turn them off in the evening. So the name of this video should be a bit different.
Love your videos - very helpful for planning our trip. Not sure if anyone has asked already but can you give directions on how to get to the great viewing point at the end of your video. TIA

Do you have any latest info on drone regulations in Plitvice, Krka, and other parts of Croatia? Of course I will keep disruption to the lowest and not fly over crowds. Thank you in advance
Flying a drone in Croatia is completely legal as long as you have registered what you can do very easily and quick on the website, but drones are prohibited in the area of Plitvice national park, but there are a ton of beautifull areas for drone recording around the park. I hope you have a great time in Croatia its an amazing country with stuning sea and people, you will love it like most of the visitors especially UK USA that are starting to discover our country which is very welcoming to americans and Canadians

Hello,i have a few questions, the first one is that the train at the end of the trail comes every 30 minutes or? This train gets you back to entrance 1? Is the train and the boat at the middle of the trail included in the entry ticket? It’s a hard trail with a lot of stairs? It can be finished if you hurry a little in 3 hours but not that you sweat a lot in this time, just walking normal, not fast? Sorry for all these questions, but I couldn’t find the answer online so I hope that you could help me
Personally, I don't think it's worth it, especially compare to Krka National Park, the Plitvice is packed, the ticket is expensive, and the view is average. But simply because the location of Plitvice makes it becomes the only choice to stop or to rest when you travel from Zagreb to Zadar, Plitvice is right in the middle of this long journey, which making almost every tourist and tour company have to stop by here.

I don’t think they are worth it at all. Very overpriced and you aren’t allowed to swim, just a walk. Much better alternatives, but I don’t want to mention those places as I love them being tourists free 😁
