Yep that is Mitch 'coming in like an angel' - and it will always be Mitch coming in like an angel! It sounds gorgeous and I love the three key changes and the wall of sound. Stunning. Did you notice they're all dressed as inspired by Lion King characters? Kevin - Simba, Kirstie - Nala, Mitch - Zazu, Matt and Scott Timon and Pumbaa. This is quite an epic 'Mitch slap' isn't it?! I'm really enjoying your reactions. Keep them coming! 😊
My Grandmother was in her last moments. I placed the grandchildren in another room watching Lion King. Her last moments were All of Us Listening to "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" 💞
That's so amazing! I'm so sorry for your loss honey. I lost my mom on Aug. 15th 2009 (exactly 13 years ago today) & it still hurts me to get thru the day on this day every year. The day she passed was the 1st day since she'd had a stroke 6 weeks earlier that I had left her in her caregiver's care while I rode with my husband to look at a house we were intending to buy. I was by her side almost constantly because we were very close. I had seen 2 pieces of lumber in in the yard. One had "I love you" carved in it & the other one had Goodbye carved. When we were back at the builders office my husband got the call & he had to sit me down & tell me my mom had passed. At 1st I was so full of guilt at not being with her on that one day. But eventually I came to be certain that she had somehow orchestrated it to happen when I wasn't there, coz she knew it would scar me for life If I had been there to witness her taking her last breath. When I was at the Evergreen show in Kentucky last year, sitting only a few feet from the edge of the stage, Ptx sang Evergreen, & I definitely felt my mom with me. Of course I cried like a baby. My 27 y/o daughter was with me & we held each other during the whole song. She knew that song makes me cry every time, so she was prepared. She was very close to my mom too. At least we have each other to get thru this day each year. I am really blessed to have my girl, & to have Pentatonix to bring joy to my life every day when I listen to their amazing music. God bless you! XO💜
@@beverlykrebs4372 Oh lady, what a beautifully heartbreaking memory you shared & you're so right-people at the end of their life are often able to wait until either a loved one finally got there to say goodbye or to go when no one is there. They seem to know what is best for us & I'm so glad you stopped beating yourself up & could just take in the love she wanted for you at the end. Thank you for sharing your amazing story. Brightest Blessings!
Sometimes you experience things that are so good, they hurt! The work that went into this one surely resulted in just about perfection. I love watching people react to the wonder that is PTX.
It takes a confident woman to wear the dress that Kirstin was wearing. In fact, all of their outfits were meant to be different characters from The Lion King. Kirstin was Nala of course, Kevin was Simba, Matt and Scott were Pumba and Timon respectively, and Mitch with the bright colors was Zazu. Great reaction again!
Great Reaction! I knew you would love this one. You would love the Pentatonix cover of "Say Something" with Kirstie taking the lead and Kevin driving so much emotion into his celloboxing. It has been so much fun watching how much you love and appreciate all the members special talent in all three acapella groups. Now in a short amount of time you have become a Pentaholic, Home Fry, and a Voice Player and gained more than 2000 subscribers.
If you love Christmas music. Pentatonix bread and butter is doing Christmas covers and originals. They have tons and tons of Christmas songs you can react to. But my next recommendation is reacting to the Prayer by Pentatonix. Mitch really shines in that song.
So welcome to the “you’ve been #MitchSlapped” club. Lol I HIGHLY recommend Mary did you know?, can’t hold us, and cheerleader for starters. Honorable mention goes out to little drummer boy and carol of the bells only there because they’re Christmas songs but DEFINITELY worth a watch! Also someone somewhere said you have to sing to win a Grammy. PTX decided hmmmm…hold my beer. Took it home with dance of the sugar plum fairy. Welcome to the pentaholics. There’s plenty of room!
@@mattsreacts I think you MIGHT be ready for Can't Hold Us... You have not seen them performing anything like that yet. It is WILD!! That, and Papaoutai (sung all in French! AND LINDSEY STIRLING IS IN THAT ONE!) and their original "Can't Sleep Love". The official video of that is creative, colorful, amazing & 10 other great adjectives, but their live version at 2016 Popspring performance is utterly exciting & mind-blowing. You really should react to both versions. There are 3 other songs in that live video- 2 more originals & a cover, but it is totally worth watching the whole thing. Actually the cover of "Aha" that is one of the Popspring performances also has a great official MV that you just have to see too! You not only get Mitch slapped multiple times, but you get Avi slapped too!! Lets just say, somebody had to replace some blown speakers after that! Lol! I always wonder if the people sitting near the speakers had any hearing damage from that night!!! I think I can safely promise that if you did a super long reaction video to Popspring plus the Official videos of Aha & Can't Sleep Love, all us Pentaholics would be glued to our screens for the entire time!! But whatever you choose to react to next will be perfect coz every song they do is amazing. I think you're finally beginning to believe us when we say there is no bad choice!! And we'll never steer you wrong or exaggerate about how good something is!!! 💜
You can't go wrong with Pentatonix (or Home Free or Voiceplay). Anything they do is golden. Even their appearance on Sesame Street, singing about the numbers 1 through 5, is delightful.
Great reaction Matts. It's really refreshing to see a guy who is comfortable wearing his heart on his sleeve, and not trying to front like so many other reactors do. Music is the soundtrack of our lives, and nothing can call up a moment or a memory quite like the right song. Mad respect. ☮️ Steve in Kansas P.S. I would enjoy seeing you react to the Pentatonix song Run to You. It's an older one (Avi is still in the group), and for me it is their most astonishing and emotionally-beautiful song/video. It has an atmosphere of peaceful strength. It currently has 214K views, but if you react to it we could add some more, eh?
Love, love, love your reactions! You are so passionate about PTX's talent and especially that "Wall of Sound". Would love your reaction to Joyful, Joyful (Live from The Evergreen Experience) last December...Here is my favorite version ruclips.net/video/Us8Px4PAsjw/видео.html
Oh yes! I was at that exact show, sitting right at the stage & it was the most amazing experience I've had in my whole life!!! In fact, I am in all of the video they made of that song, each time they show the front rows of the audience at the end of the catwalk. Im the crazy lady in the red dress either waving my arms or holding my camera up taking a video!! Lol!! I hope they will eventually release their full video of that concert on dvd or something so I can buy it!!!
Not only does their music bring me joy but so do your reactions! They are so genuine and you get so excited, it reminds me of the first time I heard the songs!
Given how smitten you are with Kirstin, I would recommend you check out 'Rather Be' to get a chance to see her take the lead. But, after that along with KO and Superfruit rabbit holes, you can not miss her solo EP 'Love'. 'Break a Little' is really good, but, she is absolutely stunning in the evocatively titled 'Naked'. Your infatuation will reach whole new levels. In addition there are two more incredibly talented and beautiful female vocalists that you should delve into. They are quite possibly the two best female singers I have ever heard. The first is Asia's Phoenix a 26 year-old phenom from the Phillipines named Morissette Amon. She is a blend of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Selena, and Mariah Carey all rolled into one package. I would suggest her covers of 'Rise Up' and 'Never Enough' as jumping off points. THe second, is a 44 year-old former CCM/Gospel singer from South Korea named Sohyang. She is probably the most techically skilled and flawless artist around. She also writes her own arrangements to a level commensurate with her vocal control and agility. She has many EPIC performances to choose from, but her versions of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and the Whitney Houston classic 'I Have Nothing' will leave you astounded. Especially the former, which she takes to a whole other level.
I have Kirstie's CD, and it is beautiful. As far as I'm concerned, Kirstie has the most beautiful voice of any female singer in the world today. I just love her! I'm really hoping Ptx is making a lullaby album!!
Matt I absolutely love the emotion you show especially when Pentatonix is on. I love Pentatonix and so glad you love them too. Thank you! Diane from Ohio
Loved your reaction all through this, but I especially get a kick out of your face when you're crushing on Kirsty. You giggle and hide your face like a school boy. So cute!
Hello Matts Reacts. At last. Thank you for doing this one. This is another masterpiece arrangement from Pentatonix. Scott starting with his soul, raspy voice. Matt following so deep and warm Kevin driving that beat - dum dum dum. Kirstie so sharp and sweet. Mitch singing so sweetly on his verse, then blasting off into the stratosphere on those high notes.. Classic Mitch-slap from you there. Yes, that is Mitch coming in like an angel, that's why we call him our angel Mitch.. The layering of voices, the harmonies, the crescendo, the wall of sound, the videography, the fire flies, the costumes.. This is one of my favourite PTX covers. Your reaction was superb - the expressions on your face and your commentary. I am still smiling, laughing and clapping my hands in glee at your reactions - I knew you would reconsider "settling" for Pentatonix - LOL - don't worry - you know them and love them now so you are on board with us Pentaholics. BTW there is a behind the scenes for this video where they discuss the arrangement and that note that Mitch has to hit - Mitch's response is just priceless.. Still waiting on you reaction to The Prayer, Come Along and PTX originals from The Lucky Ones Album, then get ready for their extensive body of Christmas work!!
Come Along is great, originals. Sing, Can’t sleep love, Happy Now Evolution. Of Micheal,Jackson And Rhianna are so great They mixed. Dua lipas “ New Rules”. With Aaliyah’s,,”Are you Somebody” and it’s brilliant Another idea is play Kiera’s video “Gold”. And then play. PTXs version of “Gold”. It’s masterful. Thank you. Love your reactions!!!!
Pentatonix The Recording of Evergreen is a video you should watch. It is around 15 minutes long but it gives you an idea of how they record music in studio. Evergreen is their latest Christmas album btw.
This is one of my favs for sure...and yes.....welcome to Kirstie's world.....Mitch top, Kirstie mid range. And yes....THAT was a wall of sound!!! They are just insanely talented! INSANELY talented...👽👽👽👽👽...still my conspiracy theory LOL. "Love Again", Great reaction!
We Pentaholics need to get T-shirts made that have Pentatonix +their names and on the other side 5 alien heads with the words "The Proof is Out There"!!! I know I would buy one!!!
Check out the behind the scenes video for this song. Included was the decision to go for a third key change. Key changes are often dramatic and satisfying. PTX doesn’t disappoint.
I love your reactions, hands down. Please, please, please check out PTX's cover of "Come Along" as well as "White Winter Hymnal". I've watched/listened to each of them dozens of times by now, and there's ALWAYS something new I'm discovering each time I listen. "Come Along" features Matt on bass, and "WWH" is one they did when Avi was still with the group. You get the best of both group blends!
Hehe. We warned you about Kirstie but didn't mention Mitch. Even Kirstie tries to warn you about Mitch, that knowing smile she wears the whole time; she knows what's coming. The pair of them are glorious in this, though they're all amazing. They always are!
Great reaction! Loved your enthusiasm. Would love to see you react to The Prayer and to their evolution of Michael Jackson and Rihanna. Greetings from Tennessee 🤗🇺🇸
I am so happy right now! First of all, I can never hear this one enough 🤯🔥👏🏻! Second, your reactions are just so heartfelt and awesome, and occasionally funny (“Don’t look at me right now…)💜 and last, you didn’t actually 😵after seeing Kirstin in this one. I give the credit for that to all of us who warned you and warned you. I am going to request Popspring 2016 again, all four songs of it!
This song carried me away from the physical universe into one of harmony and joy. The movie was such a big part of my child’s life and holds such fond memories, there isn’t a group out here that could have made this more special. BTW, does anyone else need a defibrillator? Great reaction
I'm so glad you finally got to react to this one - it's just a really great 'feel good' song and right now you sound like you are still a bit sick and can use that extra energy pump this song brings - I will encourage you to listen to this before you go to bed tonight and carry that magical vibration to your dreams - I really enjoy your reactions a lot - I watch a huge amount of folks reacting to PTX and you are by far one of my favorites, so much so that I sometimes watch them twice because you are so honest in your comments and always make me laugh! (-: I know you listen to a huge amount of covers from many different groups, yet you are always pumped up when you view PTX, and the Pentaholics love that! Thought you might like Kirstie in this one, but they are all so amazing!! You got Mitch slapped again and that's always fun to watch! LOL Thank you for your reactions! Stay safe and be well!
I would love to hear your reaction to their cover of Rather Be. Hopefully it’s not one you’ve done and had blocked. Kirstie is amazing with the lead and the video of them walking around the streets of a city in Japan is so much fun!
Rough day so decided to rewatch some epic PTX reactions and of course had to come to your page, I just love your reactions, so pure and I love your extensive vocabulary!
@@ryanje8147, I'm a pentaholic. Have been for years. I loved the video. That has nothing to to with your misogynistic remark. You should be ashamed of yourself for it.
I laughed so hard I thought I would fall out of my chair! I don't think you meant it to be disrespectful either. I guess some people are more easily offended. Personally, I am a 62 year old Christian wife & mother & I have a great sense of humor. But you have to understand you never know what the life experiences of others have formed them to be sensitive to certain things. I can certainly understand someone who may have been raised more strictly than most ppl. God bless!!
This one is a proper feels explosion, isn't it? I love this PTX version even more than the Disney original -- and I think we all knew you'd love this one too, and not just for Kirstie's stellar performance. 😊 For follow-up recommendations I can suggest 'The Prayer' (for more Mitch angelic-ness, Kirstie awesomeness and Scott 'whoooaa-didn't-know-he-could-do-THAT-too!'-ness,) 'Mary Did You Know?' and *especially* their collab with the awesome Todrick Hall 'The Wizard of Ahhhs,' which will be PERFECT if you want another huge dose of childhood feels (and maybe keep the kleenex on standby for the end as well, since it's another heart-puncher.)
If you really dig Kirstin and her angelic voice you MUST listen to her lead in "Be My Eyes". She is absolutely STUNNING ! So is the rest of the group. But there is so, So, SO much more you have to catch up on. Love your reactions.
There is SOOOOOO much for you to catch up on, but I would recommend going to "Baby Tonix" and where it all started. React to "The Sing Off" series (12 songs I think) in order. Watch to the end of each, firstly to get the judges comments but also to get the PTX closing comments on some. You will see how good they were eleven years ago.
I know this is late but one of my favorite facts about this song is we almost didn't have it. However when Elton John sat in on a viewing of the lion king movie he asked where his song was and with a couple changes to what characters sang the song (Originally only Timon and Pumbaa where gonna sing it) they put it in and now we have a masterpiece!
I absolutely love your reactions. They would be 100% better if nearly 25% of the video wasn't behind you on the screen. I don't know if there are any changes you can make, but seeing the whole video would be appreciated. If you want a real treat, check out the "Wizard of AHHHS" and the live version of Hallelujah Live from Their Evergreen Tour.
How do you feel about the Wizard of Oz? Because PTX does an exceptional video with a more modern music rendition. The Wizard of Ahhhs by Todrick Hall ft. Pentatonix. Loved your reaction of this. They sure have a way of grabbing your heart! I think that is why they are such a popular band! Enjoyed it. Thanks.
If you want more videos with Kirstie in the lead then watch Say Something (Great Big World and Christina Aguilera cover) or Be My Eyes (a PTX original song that Kirstie wrote).
Aren't you kind of wondering how you had gone this long without PTX in your life? I just discovered them about 6 months ago or so and couldn't believe that they did more than 'Mary Did You Know?' - which I occasionally hear on the radio at Christmas.
Oh Michael, welcome to the loving arms of the PTX family.. it's such an amazing journey isn't it. There's some hidden gems that often get overlooked that you would love if you haven't dug them out already-Ride cover by 21 pilots (done at an Australian radio station) New Year's Day-an original sung live for New Years Eve 2016(I think!) The Star Wars medley live at the AMAs 2017(So freaking amazing!) & let's see, Seasons of Love-live for PBS' A Capital 4th of July last summer! I'm sure you've probably already found those but if not you'll be glad to see them! Happy PTX-ing!
The surprise Mitch slap in this one is my favorite. This definitely brings me back to my childhood.
Notice the smile that everyone has knowing that Mitch is fixing to hit that awesome note.
I know! I was just waiting for that Mitch slap to get him! I did warn him about Kirstie, but not Mitch! Lol!

Sing, Can’t sleep love, Happy Now
Evolution. Of Micheal,Jackson And Rhianna are so great
They mixed. Dua lipas “ New Rules”. With Aaliyah’s,,”Are you Somebody” and it’s brilliant
Another idea is play Kiera’s video “Gold”. And then play. PTXs version of “Gold”. It’s masterful.
Thank you. Love your reactions!!!!
Beautiful! They just blow you away every time! Loved your reaction!
I already love this Pentatonix upgrade. You just made me love it even more. Your reaction is brilliant 🤩
I officially adore you! You have captured this Pentaholics’ heart! Love your reactions! 🫶
Beautiful reaction. There are so many other songs that will have you in awe.
Sir Elton John was very impressed with PTX's cover of his song. He commented and praised them for their rendition.
Pentatonix The Recording of Evergreen is a video you should watch. It is around 15 minutes long but it gives you an idea of how they record music in studio. Evergreen is their latest Christmas album btw.
I always love the look of shock when Mitch hits those notes. You might want to try their version of Can't Hold Us.
@@beverlykrebs4372 LOL I'd buy that!!!
Check out the behind the scenes video for this song. Included was the decision to go for a third key change. Key changes are often dramatic and satisfying. PTX doesn’t disappoint.
Yes! I love reactions to their behind the scenes stuff!
Loving your reactions!! I feel like you would like their upgrade to Problem. Mitch rapping is my favorite! Keep up the great work!
Just a fun fact represent some of the characters. Matt and Scott are Timon and Puma, Mitch is Zazu and Kirsty and Kevin are Simba and Nala.
Kirstie absolutely blows this out of the water....they are all amazing but this gives Kirstie the chance to shine.
I love your reactions so much!!! Much love from Texas and please do The Prayer soon!!!!!!
Star Vista Singapore Aha
Do you think he’s ready? Between Avi’s lows and Mitch’s highs, he might explode!
@@jenniferarted3652 Not sure if any one is ever ready for that performance.
You're there! ❣❣❣❣❣
Best reaction ever!
Love your reactions Matt, you very emotional guy and love it to see, God bless you! You transmit a lot of emotions,
They are dressed to represent the characters: Scott and Matt are Timon and Pumbaa, Kirstie and Kevin are Nala and Simba, Matt is Zazu.
I love your PTX reactions. The joy you show is so contagious it’s awesome to watch. Keep it up! You have hundreds more PTX songs to do.
Sure wish I could give this multiple likes . . . great performance, great reaction!
Rather Be is my favorite Kirstie lead. Even after they’ve put out a lot more with her leading, rather be just suits her perfectly for me.
Hope you do 'Say Something' (Kirstie focused) & The Prayer (perhaps their best song) soon.
You still need to see Kirstin take the lead in "My Favorite Things". The video is nothing like The Sound of Music.
Rough day so decided to rewatch some epic PTX reactions and of course had to come to your page, I just love your reactions, so pure and I love your extensive vocabulary!
THIS IS WHY PTX IS THE BEST A CAPELLA GROUP IN THE WORLD🌎
KIRSTIN JUST BLEW THIS ONE AWAY.
🎶❤🎙
awesome. awesome. For a moment I thought they added 2 more members to the group.......but quickly realized it was just Kirstie's outfit.
That's disgusting and childish of you. Grow up!
@@Gwennedd LOL
@@Gwennedd You didn't think the video was awesome? PTX is great.
God bless!!
It's such a gorgeous song. Loved Elton John's version, love this one too.
This is the adult version of your childhood favorite. They do it every time.
And yes that was Mitch.
For a throwback, I recommend their LaLa Latch!🤘🏻😊
CHECK OUT BE MY EYES BY PENTATONIX...KIRSTIE IS THE LEAD ON IT AND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL
Yes, it's Mitch...
CAN YOU PLEASE REACT TO SOME OF THEIR ORIGINAL COFFEE IN BED, HAPPY NOW, LOVE ME WHEN I DON'T AND BE MY EYES
Oh, he will LOOOOVE Be My Eyes!!! 😉
Great reaction!
Is Mitch coming in like and angel? Dude. Does Mitch know any other way to come in?
I just found PTX a few months ago as well. I feel like so sad sometimes at all I missed out on.
3 of my Pentatonix favs that you haven’t reviewed yet. “My Favourite Things”, “A Little Space” and “Butter x Dynamite”.
If you like the angelic sound, you need to watch their „Mary did you know“ - unless you want to save it for Xmas…
You need to see them at the Star Wars tribute! They are amazing
Yes, it’s Mitch!
You must listen to Shallow. Kirstin and Scott share lead, and Mitch has a gorgeous solo.
