    Really enjoy your tutorial videos. Aside from bringing back to me all those lessons from you from long ago, I also get new insights.
    I still remember how you used to teach modulation to us students, and it really inspired me to always try to not just play "flat" :)
    Thank you for being such an amazing tabla teacher, and thank you for posting these valuable online lessons!

    Awesome Pandit ji. In youtube I never saw someone describing this kind of practice so clearly. You made everything so easy to understand for all. And I never saw anyone to teach this type of practice. Really awesome. Pranam ..

    Instinctively, I was exploring the many possibilities of stressing or alternate a note. I was doubting of my practice (no guru to correct me). Now I'm revealed and I feel confident : ) Thank you.

    Thanks a lot!
    Would you also please tell about the terkit technic. Which part of the hand plays a bigget role in terkit, the wrist or the fingers, which part of the fingers shoud touch the tabla. How shoud the wrist be held, strsight or a little bit up? I practice terkit a lot witgout having answers for these questions en that is the reason that I have almost no improvement, especially in high speed.

    • @TheTablaGurukul
      @TheTablaGurukul  4 года назад

      Hello dear. Thanks for your query. Lemme let you clearly, that tirkit is played mainly with fingers. Your wrist should be flexible also to let your fingers move freely. In any case don't make your wrist stiff. I'll add one important note here, that, Tabla is played with the whole hand itself. From your shoulder to your fingers. Everything is correlated. And coordinated.
      I don't know you are from which country. But if you are really concerned about your tirkit, then I'll ask you to send a small video clip of your playing in my email or WhatsApp or wherever. I will be guide you properly after seeing your hands only.
      Take care till then. God bless 😊

    I have watched your hand in slow motion and as far as I can see your wrist makes this movement while playing terkit : ♾
    Have I seen it correctly?
