No, I think that's just to show how fast they move.... So if we saw the Jedi duels in real time, we'd only see blurs... So what we see is slowed for us to see
@@TheDeathmail I like to think that sustaining forcespeed is either extremely taxing, possible for only greatest jedi, or they can't actively fight with it(perhaps due to losing fine control?)
The whole point of Palps plan was to set up a situation the Republic would not be able to resolve cleanly. The Jedi resolving it in 5 seconds with no crisis is the opposite of his plan
It’s the same ability as force jump, like when Luke jumped out of the carbon freezing chamber so fast, but it’s just used horizontally It tracks they could use it for a quick boost
If you are wondering the actual name of the force power is called. Surge, it's what allows a Jedi to have extremely fast reflexes, allows them to do their crazy jumps and yes run super fast. Very few force powers are actually just called "Force" add word here.
I recognized how they took off like bats outta hell, with my very first viewing. I was the only person in the theater to laugh out loud. My dad sat forward in his chair and looked at me like I was on drugs. Later I told him why I was laughing. He still looked at me like I was on drugs, but I didn't care. I said to him, "did you see how they took took off like a Scooby-Doo cartoon? PEYOWWW!!"
Shame that this ability didn't show up anymore in later movies and shows. But, then again it would be a lazy move if the battle choreography just used fast blurry images of the actors.
jedi and sith always use this ability this is just the only time we see it as it looks not to mention Starkiller and Jaden Korr both use this power in their respective video games
No they don't, if force users are this fast than any non sensitive wouldn't stand a chance, and yet they have bested thrm in combat counless of times. Just look how cad bane embarrasses obiwan and quinlan vos
Never could figure out why they couldn't just use the Force to telekinetically grab the droidekas and slam them into a wall or crush them. Especially since Obi-Wan saw them coming before they deployed their blasters.
Too risky I guess. If they don’t tap into the force fast enough they’ll shoot them before they have a chance to defend. Better to play it safe and flee they just were attacked during what was supposed be a normal trade dispute. Their main priority is to inform everybody what happened and warn them.
@@mikenadj.j4355 - They have to tap into the Force in order to use their lightsabers to deflect the blaster bolts. The main difference with this tactic is that they have to wait for the droidekas to actually start shooting, and then it leaves them on the defensive.
My problem is that it's never used again. Never brought up or used in any scenarios it's too broken of an ability as Mace should have one shoted dooku and Jango, he'll dooku could have killed Obi and Ani in ep2. In TCW Anakin could have used it to stop 5s from shooting and deflecting the blaster bolt from the shock troopers.
This is why an unaugmented person fighting a Jedi is a very bad idea because they basically have super human speed so almost nothing you could do would be able to deal with them. An experienced force user using both force speed and force strength could probably get themselves to at least the MCU's version of Captain America or maybe spider man. Also, Jedi and sith don't react to lasers because they're so fast that they see the laser coming. It's that they see the person pulling the trigger before they've actually pulled the trigger because they have precognition so they can put their blade in the exact right place to block a blaster bolt before it's even left the gun. It's the same way Spider-Man's spider sense works. Spider-Man isn't faster than bullets. He just knows how to get out of the way before they're even shot.
As strong as Captain America, I'll give it to you, but they wouldn't even reach the strength of Spider-Man, not with physical strength, his Telekinesis would be stronger, but that is not the same as physical strength. In reality, they can react and be faster than Blaster shots, Obi-wan dodged them at close range in "The Arc of the Zygerrian Slaves" Tyranus dodged them with "The Arc of the Crystal Crisis in Utapau" when they shot him To Maul, after seeing the shots, he deflected them with force using a movement of his fingers.
It’s so baffling to me. They didn’t even need to do this at all. Why not just have them run down the hallway normally? The same thing happens. They created a massive plot hole for no reason. This is an amazing edit btw
Force speed had always existed in Star Wars Lore, they can even enhance parts of their body for extra strength. Id imagine they don't usually put this in the movies because they feel like looks goofy, where as in animation it comes off a lot more naturally.
