This is why I love Ford - for making this a simple process which owners can do themselves rather than having to pay a mechanic. Thanks Ford & thanks for the video!
You probably want to check your tire pressure afterwards, it's most likely low using this trick. I wonder if it trains the TPMS to accept the new low pressure as the normal pressure, meaning if you're supposed to be at 32 PSI but it sets at 25 PSI the warning will only go off at around 20 PSI
Tried this and it doesn't work. If Ford has to put all this complicated computer crap just to fill your tires, I don't think I'll ever buy another Ford.
No, this is exactly why you SHOULD buy a Ford...you only need to do this process if you are installing new rims. Thankfully Ford was smart/nice enough to make this a simple process that owners can do themselves rather than having to go to a mechanic
@@ApparentBulge The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration requires them after the 1st gen late ford explorer incidents. So unless you own a vehicle older than 2000, you won't find anything without them. If you try to remove them and let the light go, the ecu strategy is to limit max road speed, aggressive throttle input and pull fuel/tining.

I really appreciate this video! I just cleared my low tire pressure light by doing exactly what you said in this video!! Again thanks alot!
Thank you, it worked pretty nice.

You ever figure it out?
Very helpful guys. Thank you.
You boys are the best thanks!
What about when one of the sensors is bad or not responding, how do you relearn it after its been replaced?
Thanks
This video helped me solve it thanks alot
Thank you very much!
any idea how to disable tpms from forscan?
Does this fix tyre sensors not detected error?
Nop
Got a sensor fault after having tyres put on front think they may have damaged one of the sensors
I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta Hatchback with aftermarket sensors what's the procedure to learn senors to car
how can I get rid of light if I have no sensors anymore. changed my tires and rims dont want the sensors because I manually check them anyways
Would that work for mine? The light says tire pressure fault
how to reprogram when u put new tpms in c max 2015?
Doesn't work on my 2017
Video was made in 2015 so I think at the time he meant 2011 through 2015 models.
Go to driver settings driver assist and hold ok on tpms reset. Done.

am not buying one for just this reason
Tpms is mandatory on all newish vehicles in the US. Some manufactures like Subaru don't give you any option to reset them on your own.
