It's mid summer in the rolling hills of the shire as the thunder and rain start hitting hard. I battle to maintain my old a-frame home and the new driveway I installed along with the driveway of my off-grid cabin. I stop by my off-grid property for the first time in months to check up on things and explore the river. My new Maine Coon kitten Harper is fully recovered from surgery and loves exploring the forest. My good friend and I rope swing in the land before time, I work on renovating my old VW Bus and I end up in a fairytale summer moment by the willow tree.

Listening to you talk about the off-grid property I am reminded of the saying that I have to keep bringing before my heart and mind...'if it's worth having, it's worth waiting for'.
I get such a kick watching you take Harper out for adventures. I am a dog person. Don't mind cats, but have always had a dog that comes with me in the bush. You are the first person I've seen who takes their cat out and about with them. I think it's fantastic!

You need to dig in a large French drain down the middle of your driveway with both sides of the driveway drainage sloping down to the middle so all the water drains from the sloping sides to the middle into the French drain flowing away. This will give the water a place to go with out washing away your driveway….

Love the summer videos Kyle, but not as much as the Fall and winter ones. One Van tip, use 3m double sided tape it lasts and you can maybe glue them wood boards together. A little bit of wood stain to finish it off…. Keep up the awesome videos Kyle
