@@AlexVictory To be honest we could trace this back all the way back to where the Jedi started associating themselves too much with the republic's politics, perhaps even far away where the Jedi thought all attachments where dangerous and started to restrain emotions rather than work with them as a mature person that doesn't see all in white and black, as Jolee Bindo said, love won't turn you to the darkside, it can even save you from it, it's a positive emotion. There's literally many decisions that changed destiny, Anakin was the chosen one because in his time, it would be the end of the long struggle between jedi and sith, and how would that come to be, he would be in the center of it.

This was probably my favorite part of the Star Wars prequels. His conflict and the moments you could tell him just restlinng with it and the sunset at dusk with the music just visually displays it so well
In a movie where everyone has clearly been dialoging what they feel, this is also one of the few silent moments in the film. Yet we all *feel* how much is being said in the silence. The sunset is also visually stunning, and thematically important. This was the moment the sun was setting, and light no longer shone over the Jedi and the Republic; giving way to the shadow of the empire so ominously forming just on the horizon.
Everything is always met with critique and ridicule when it first came out. Hell, there was even a review back in 1980 about a critique really shitting on Empire Strikes Back.. or was it A New Hope. Hell , some even thought video game was only just a fad in the 80s and it'll die out later But look at how wrong they all were but i digress.. back to topic, nowadays.. you see ppl have genuine love for the prequels , particularly to those who dont have any preconceived expectations from the original trilogy. Ppl like us who grew up with the prequels and still liking it years on
The fakeout when the music is about to switch into the theme where Anakin gets into his car at the end of the first track into that somber and emotional beginning of the second track really got me.
It was about to switch to Grievous's theme, not to Anakin entering the speeder, the music in the first track is when Padmé tells him she's pregnant with Luke and Leia
I rewatched ROTS yesterday, and I swear everytime it gets to this scene I feel so torn with him, because we all know what losing love feels like, and palps leads him to believe that the only way to avoid that is through him.. ugh so good
The moment Anakin wilfully chose to have an intimate relationship with Padme instead of suppressing his emotions and meditating on the force…was the beginning of the end. The Jedi Code exists for a reason and intimacy in the jedi life is forbidden - precisely to avoid the type of hole which Anakin dug himself into. If he would have actually behaved like a jedi and obeyed the code, he may have never turned to the Dark Side. No wonder Mace Windu, Yoda etc didn’t trust him and wouldn’t let him into the Jedi Council.

I think Hayden did great here, you can see the conflict he’s under and how much it’s affecting him. The music and visuals combine with his acting amazingly.

The book goes deeper into it and how the council and palpatine are practically using him as a chess piece and obi-wan is begging them not to involve him at all.
Revenge of the Sith was an overwhelmingly heavy movie for a 9 year old (considering I’d never seen the original trilogy or grasped the concept of a prequel yet). It’s also the first real “war movie” I remember seeing in theaters where you really took in the massive death tole. It’s the one that got me into Star Wars hoping other iterations wouldn’t be nearly as depressing
Its scenes like these that make you feel the force, really. Ive always thought this was the most beautiful and powerful scenery imaginable: the Coruscant skyline in the sunset from the Jedi Council chamber.
This is absolutely beatiful... John Williams will go down as one of the greatest composers of the 21st century maybe even the greatest of all composers in the 21st century... Also, Hayden Christensens performance in the Revenge of the Sith was absolutely legendary

The thing is we are not characters limited by a script. If you fear the same fate, do the things differently because, just imagine how cool it would have been if Anakin restored the republic to it's former glory instead of destroying it. You may have the options at hand but only you can make the choices.
I see it for myself as well, but unlike a character we have thousands, if not millions of alternatives when in front of a difficult thing. Anakin only had two.
Anakin is a Character, Many of us we can relate to His Flaws, His Personality, His Struggles, That's why we Invest so Much of Ourself's into when Characters we See in Movie's/Show's.
You gotta give the creator so much more credit, you figure they just took a ton of John Williams pieces, used some overlay footage and called it a day but they really conveyed a progression throughout the audio and you can tell they put a lot of effort construction the retelling of the story, at points it actually gave me goosebumps to imagine Anikan transformed into Darth Vader left with the punishment of reflecting on these horrible memories, great job, you did amazing

When the prequels came out, Hayden Christensen took a lot of heat for poor acting. I think we can say, looking back at the prequels he gave one of the most emotional and convincing Anakin Skywalker performances ever, especially in ROTS. You can really read the pain on his face. I can’t imagine anyone else ever portraying the role.

I listen to various Star Wars soundtracks to accompany different moods but there was a lack of a compilation that combines soundtracks which are pensive but not too melodic if you get what I mean. My suggestion for another pensive compilation would be something that reflects the vibe of the soundtrack of “Dooku interrogates Obi Wan”, less emotional and more mysterious than this one.
As I get older, I realize I have turned into a female version of Anakin (personality-wise, and struggle-wise. Not the whole jedi think lol). No matter where you look, you can always relate to someone. I grew up watching these movies so that probably explains a lot lol. Anyway, love this so much!

Anakin is a Character, Many of us we can relate to His Flaws, His Personality, His Struggles, That's why we Invest so Much of Ourself's into when Characters we See in Movie's/Show's.

You gotta give the creator so much more credit, you figure they just took a ton of John Williams pieces, used some overlay footage and called it a day but they really conveyed a progression throughout the audio and you can tell they put a lot of effort construction the retelling of the story, at points it actually gave me goosebumps to imagine Anikan transformed into Darth Vader left with the punishment of reflecting on these horrible memories, great job, you did amazing

When the prequels came out, Hayden Christensen took a lot of heat for poor acting. I think we can say, looking back at the prequels he gave one of the most emotional and convincing Anakin Skywalker performances ever, especially in ROTS. You can really read the pain on his face. I can’t imagine anyone else ever portraying the role.
I completely agree! I think Hayden did an insanely good job and I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing him in live action.

@@DoctorSquatchThanks for your reply! I like it because it’s a meaningful compilation of pensive soundtracks. The atmosphere is just perfect to rethink life as stated in the title. I listen to various Star Wars soundtracks to accompany different moods but there was a lack of a compilation that combines soundtracks which are pensive but not too melodic if you get what I mean. My suggestion for another pensive compilation would be something that reflects the vibe of the soundtrack of “Dooku interrogates Obi Wan”, less emotional and more mysterious than this one.
As I get older, I realize I have turned into a female version of Anakin (personality-wise, and struggle-wise. Not the whole jedi think lol). No matter where you look, you can always relate to someone. I grew up watching these movies so that probably explains a lot lol. Anyway, love this so much!
