I came in for a scrapping break to find this upload. Wow, I can't wait to see a scrap marathon of this stuff, gorgeous, I get so excited with this older stuff! A couple of bits like the mixer look absolutely awesome and would be great for TV /film props. I LOVED this, scrumptious!!!
You should open a museum for nostalgic electronic components and contraptions. Your city might be interested in such an undertaking.
indeed
Awesome vintage load!
999 Dusan would no doubt find tons of gold and silver to recover in that equipment.😄
Movie sets with vintage electronics
For reals props there!
I wish I lived in Australia. I'd take a lot of that off your hands. I'm find beauty in that kind of stuff just for display reasons
Imagine what all this stuff was worth new... Very cutting edge tech, built to be in service for decades, produced only in small numbers. Very interesting for sure.
All the vector- and waveform analyzers with the old CRT screens might be very interesting for filmmaking, if they need some effects/displays for a nice sci-fi movie set. Just not sure if they would actually still make "practical effects" like that, or rather just use LCD screens with a digital video player or even full rendered CGI effects these days.
Very nice pickup. Looks like a scrap marathon coming up. Can't wait
The gold recovery in that pickup will be considerable, hi from Nottinghamshire UK scrappers 🇬🇧
I agree brother
Looks like you're ready to open eWaste Ben Studios 🤣 What an awesome find.
That's a really cool pick up. Well done mate 👍
Wow Ben, that's a pick-up that dreams are made of!! 😲😲😲😲 I would have a hard time scrapping anything at all out of that lot. There would be a life time of vintage electronic repair content for me (and of course learning how to do it along the way!). It's a shame I don't have time - but I'm tempted to ebay the better stuff for you, or sell it through my shop so it gets to the right people to save such great electronics history!
Respect for a hard working man! I like your videos! I watch you from 5 yrs before! All the time i like what you post! From you many people learn alot of stuff! Thank you !
Very nice vintage pickup, definitely good metal recovery 👌
Hi Ben ... The HP and Rhode and Schwartz stuff will have good silver parts and wire. Of course good gold recovery.
Ironically some of those microprocessors are worth more than the gold scrap value! But a great haul none the less!
Lots of goodies there sir.
Having worked in electronics all my life.. everything looks interesting. 😂 The ancient crt’s are likely not good for much.. even vintage games. As you know, a quick cover removal and scan for goodies is a must, especially if there’s cards with slot connectors.
Very cool items.
Thanks for your work sir
Enjoyed
Peace Prospector Tripp
really cool pickup! I wish i had a use for it, I just love that old school kinda look of the stuff
All that vintage stuff is amazing , would be amazing stripping all that down
Jealous as fk. Museum stuff, that stuff should be preserved for future generations and enthusiasts.
Not sure if I'm jealous for the stuff itself or for the fact you have enough storage space to accept and retrieve such a quantity of stuff 😂 Some of this equipment is really good, start by scrapping anything obviously broken / uncomplete / worthless, and take some time to research about the best pieces.
I hate finding stuff like that. Don't know whether to scrap it, use it, keep it, or sell it.
Awesome I can't wait to see what's inside some of them thank you for sharing this six stars brother
Thank you for the contribution and content you make, looking forward for the next episode.
Once in a lifetime pickup
Very interesting stuff. I'm hoping to see a lot of scrap videos from this. Really cool stuff.
Hey Ben, Fantastic pick-up! Really looking forward to the scrap videos! Good luck getting the rest! Thumbs up. Jim
Love the little CRTs. So many of them! In any size they're certainly a thing of the past.
My god man! No faster than you were going you were puffing like a steam locomotive goin uphill. I'm almost 69 and after 45 years of the cancer sticks. Coughing up phlegm 8, 10, 12 x a day. 3 useless days in the hospital, 2 years ago with Deep Vein Thrombosis, my son brought me nicotine gum. Went from there to a combo of patches and lozenges. Still hooked on the lozenges but that's all right even if the rest of my life. My lungs though, are amazingly clear. And the lozenges are cheaper than cigarettes.
Can't wait to see what's inside
Whoa thats a peach of a collection 👍👍👍👍
Good evening EeWaste Ben. Marc Todd SC / USA. I am having so much fun watching the analog broadcasting gear.
Used to install systems corporate and high residential. That stuff was fascinating to me because I was of the non technical back ground. I had good techs working with me and i know building codesmand can read pro its, so they taught me technology and I taught them carpentry. Oscillascope. This is what everything evolved from into digital. You appear to be having a large time going over this great haul. Rock on eWaste Ben. Regards, Marc
Very cool & nice pickup 👍
Waiting for several break-down videos ❤️❤️❤️ that staff is nuts
The monitors may have been in rack monitor, mate. So they may leave the covers off. Don't pull your hands on the tube, they charge up from the air.
Good old ewaste ben throwing around 5000 dollar monitors like he's fedex
Also all that gear was made heavy with expensive metals. I am thinking they yield more. I think you will have a blast micro scrapping and gold recovery. Have to make haste while you have supply. Go man. GO
WOW with capitals. 👍
never scrap these old bits of equipment some of i can be very rare so please so a little research into some of the thing there and you'll probably make more buy putting it on eBay rather than having it scraped because i live in Australia too so i'm sure your aware of how hard it is to come across these thing like those pvms i would love but i simple cant afford them and there all overseas. 5:09 ive been looking for one of those for ages to use in a space simulator. you got a real nice haul
eBay crap for selling know
@@mrdando Everything here would still sell for 20 times more than scrap value the monitors 1000 times scrap value. Plenty of archivers and video places need the old rack video gear too.
@@thomassmith4999He doesn't want to go thru the effort of selling on ebay, and it either sells to local buyer or goes for scrap.
yes I've let some know this all needs to be saved@@thomassmith4999 If I lived in Australia i'd be trying get as much as I could.
Can't wait for the scrapping Video!
So i'm just a Hobby scrapper, just getting some pcs and i just found an old Nokia, i've had good boards from them
Awesome stuff.
Ben, seus vídeos desmontando esses servidores são bem interessantes. Procure usar luvas para proteção das mãos. Volto a lembrar que você precisa de um ajudante.
Abraço!🇧🇷🇦🇺
beautiful pickup!
great video as always
Great video Ben
I see a scrap marathon, coming up soon
Look at all that delicious circuit board gold goodness. Gratz.
the value to an archivist is far greater he needs to find a home for it and not scrap it.
Great pickup.
Fantastic!
Some of this stuff would likely have better value as movie props or collecting. Even if it has amazing gold recovery.
also still useful and needed for video archivists
@@ScottGravlee definitely
Oh some nice Sony and Rohde & Schwarz equipment which is worth more complete than scrap. You would be surprised who collects this stuff. inc me, but it’s a long way to send to the UK. please don’t scrap it all.
you have a rohde shwartzstuff there its still worth a bomb there are companies that deal with used rohde shwatz eq
What an incredible haul! It will be fun to see teardowns of some of this stuff in the coming videos.
I see a 8 hours scrapping marathon 😅
He needs to get in contact with a video archivist this should equipment not be scrapped and is very needed. Unfortunately the email listed on his RUclips bounces back I’m trying to him connected with interested parties. I’m too far away in the US and this not being NTSC equipment I wouldn’t have much of a use for it.
Please make a video when you scrap out these things amazing score been you're very fortunate with e-waste love you videos thank you so much for your work
i wanna see a set up with all this stuff, that'd be cool
I would love to see what's inside all of those
Just looked up that HP oscilloscope and one sold on ebay recently for over £140.
It might be worth your while seeing if it works asthenia manuals are still available to download.
Haven’t checked in on ya in at least a year or more, glad to see you’re on the grind for more metal bro
Some of those transmitters and RF stuff might have power transistors containing beryllium which if broken is extremely toxic. If there's any funny looking transistors with white ceramic looking stuff on them don't damage them.
Don't scrap them yet they worth a lot of money Mr Carlson lab and lots of people would love to have them
Saw some of the equipment had commonwealth asset labels? Presumably some of it is from the ABC?
Yep, all
Hi Ben. Please take care and stay safe. Have a great day. 👍👍👍❤❤❤😎😎😎
Wow i would have paid a pretty penny for some of those stuff if i was living near you
Some of that Rhode and Shwarz gear didn't look that old. Might be worth something, that gear is very expensive
There should be some nice ceramic chips in some of those bits kind of jealous nice haul ❤
Maybe a Bingo place could use some monitors (?)
I believe gold was under $400/oz when those items were new...lol...I bet the previous metal recovery is bananas from that pickup.
those tube screens are so IN right now in EU
Please save as much as possible people need this equipment for video Archival the transmitters aren't worth anything but the test and other equipment is hard to find and very needed. I'd try to contact the Australian Television Archive.
the stuff without a cover was rack mounted at some point and should also be saved.
I would definitely love to buy some of those monitors from you if you’re selling them
Onde estão as galinhas?
Um abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Donate the unused vero board to a school or hacker space , also the osciloscopes too
Ben find a production company and sell it all as movie props I know an eWaste guy in Sydney that rents stuff like this to Production Companies
Service service boss hahahaha
Well we told ya to get a trailer to hook up to your van and you can pick up all at the same time 12:48
Some of the test equipment could probably be sold! Experimental musicians use that stuff these days.
hopefuly most stuff sells
Awesome haul! Is this stuff going to be scrapped or offered for sale please?
Complete stuff will wait for possible buyers first, maybe ebay next
@@eWasteBen how can I get details? What is the location? Cheers.
Yayyy🎉
Save the vintage test gear (non TV). any tv specific gear there is useless. I worked my whole career in TV, using this gear. It was diffacult to watch the workers tote all my tv test gear from the transmitter to the dump. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gear went to the landfill that day.
it doesn't look like he's going to listen I have tried very hard to get this equipment saved. The equipment without covers were rack mounted I have stated that multiple times but it seems that is lost on Ben.
BETACAM IS NOT BETAMAX!
U are lucky
❤❤❤
Don't scrap anything with the names Hewlett Packard, Tektronix or Rhode Schwartz....unless you want to throw money away 😂
Many vh better $ selling it on FB marketplace or Gumtree.
Movie studios look for props
What tv station was it?
RECICLED VIDEO NOOOO . . .! !

That old electronic equipment is LOADED with Gold scrap.... Check it out carefully before you scrap it..
Hello I'm looking to buy cpu processors. If you sell please inform me!
He doesn’t ship.
Omg!You could hardly catch your breath. Can't you find a young man to help you load&unload your pickups!
STOP SMOKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mind your own beeswax. Leave Ben alone.
Do you smoke after sex?
I don't know, I never checked.
@@torchandhammer depends how fast i go 😅
LOSE WEIGHT
Ben ... Please scrap the Rhode and Schwarz first ... Please
