when I watched the league back in the day I had no idea how big it was of a show until it was over. Show was way better than most would think and people like Kroll's character really gave it life.

My gateway drug was the Kroll Show. Neal and Nick - two great tastes that taste great together. The closeups on socks and faces as well as the lighting this episode were a cherry on top. I have watched this ep multiple times bc its so funny. Today is my sugar day. ❤
For a LEGIT food or sugar addiction, keeping sugar or certain foods out of the house is like telling a smoker to not have cigs in the house. A force will still drive you to go out and get it despite the size of the barrier. It's no joke.

OMG! So amazing to hear someone I admire felt the same thing I felt about our baby screaming -I immediately felt guilty for my reaction… I wish I’d known others felt the same thing. Never had the anger turn into actions, thank goodness, but it was confusing to feel angry with such a little being who I loved so completely.

Nick Kroll get tested for alphagal and get a specific acupuncture treatment in the ear. But also other treatments available for it. Best one I've found for patients thus far!!! This condition can trigger a lot of strange food allergies/food intolerances with various issues with your skin bowels and true itchy hives swelling reactions as well also!
I had the same experience with my first child, rage from screaming. Super crazy and disturbing feeling when all sorts of other people were saying having a baby is amazing and love and blah blah blah… that definitely wasn’t the case with my son.
I love how they talk about confrontation. I still cannot do that with friends

I love how other podcasters do their ad-reads in studio so they look clean and sound crisp, yours look like you forgot to do it, and get them done 5 minutes before the pod like a high school kid that forgot to do an assignment.

2:10 gives a lot of perspective on how Dave felt and what went down after the show his word was he felt laughed at in a certain sketch I remember the opie and Anthony days after the Dave went to Africa burr was getting the end of it and they were cracking jokes and now with this insight just makes more sense that CC had dave feeling some type of way with being the but of there jokes

For years I used to think that Neal Brennan and Nick Kroll were the same person !
Good convo. His therapist has a point re: not blaming himself for every little flare-up. But the idea that it's "just allergies" also doesn't cover it. Allergies are part of the bodily response to our underlying circumstances, including ancestral adaption and trauma. Our proclivities and defaults are inherited from our ancestors and environments, and we make choices within the results of these circumstances. That's why healing and self-awareness is so important. Yes it helps the self, but it also slowly turns the bigger ship. Happy for you, Nick! (Also the "point" of meditation is not "don't think," fwiw. Lots of misconceptions about meditation, especially since it's often taught as a tool for self improvement rather than for liberation. Studying under a teacher can be super helpful.)
