Jesus christ its been that long? i never knew they we're built in the early 2000's, I thought they were manufactured in 2010 :/
@@zycklacon9588 nah, the oldest LIRR M7 was manufactured in 2002, and the MNRR M7As came in 2004
And the M3/M3A’s are nearing almost 45 years of service. They are still running nice.

Good old Riverdale station. Had many a beer’s watching the trains go by in my youth. Watch Amtrak breeze by.
Really like seeing those old concrete structures south of the northbound platform!

We walked to the Hudson river area from Yonkers ...,,to fish in the west area...of the train tracks I was 5yrold ..my dad and 6 yr. older br. and younger br.desereted area along the tracks ...we packed food and stayed till the night fishing eels mostly we waived to the people riding train in afternoon

Great video! I always thought Hudson line M7s were painted green since the line color is green. Kinda disappointed to find out they are still blue lol
Blue and red are sort of the Metro North colors, tbh m7s would look ugly green lol. Also I think they switch locomotives to serve on different lines (save for new haven)
@@beanovids2342 mta uses blue for the equipment owned by them and red for the stuff owned by cdot. Such as the m8s, some shoreliners. The McGinnis p32s
I expected the stripe on the M3As to be green on the Hudson Line when I was younger and lived on the Harlem Line.
