I completely agree with clothes being a confidence booster, back in middle school I never really had the courage to get clothes I really liked and ended up feeling really insecure at school, but now as a junior, I wear clothes I know I look good in and that I really like, and it definitely makes me feel more confident and happy

I encourage people to ask for hand me downs from family and friends. If you see that they are neglecting some clothing, ask for it. I'm considered a "fashionesta" and although I've never used Pinterest. I definitely do have that fashion sense that people desire. What people don't believe is that most of my clothes are hand me downs. I learnt to sew with my hands and thread to make them fit properly. I cut the pants that are too long. I find a way to style clothes in a way that is timeless and comfortable for my body and personality. The only thing you might have to figure for yourself is shoes. If you're from South Africa you can get cheap shoes straight from the manufacturing store. Just look online. Adidas and Reebok are my favourite places to shop at online because they have cool shoes that others neglect that sell for below market value.
